- PERFECT ENGLISH COTTAGE// Hello lovely people, Joerg and I are back from wonderful 4 days in beautiful Hampshire and today we're sharing our romantic thatched holiday cottage in the village Cheriton. It's called Peppercorn Cottage and honestly the perfect English cottage. It's a small cottage and many would feel this is tiny living at its best. We felt so at home there!
Hampshire is the county where Jane Austen was born and spent most of her life. It's really worth visiting and we can't wait to go back to explore some more. We felt very inspired in Austenland. I live in the US too and these cottage homes don’t exist here 😔 I would love to travel to Europe to the countryside. But plane tickets are so expensive right now plus lodging and food 😔

My wife and I have traveled all over the UK in our caravan ,and I still can’t believe how beautiful our country is , there as been times when the view as brought a tear to my eye ,I’m sure I’m not the only one who has shed a tear of joy at the beauty of it all .

Yep I was a young ten-pound Pom who emigrated to Australia in 1966 with my family for an adventure, and now yearn to go back and pick up my heart. Australia hasn't got a patch on England, there are so many beautiful places I want to visit and so many things I miss, especially the historic buildings and houses and the countryside is heaven on earth.
I fell in love the minute I heard the birds singing melodiously in the background. Heaven!
I'm scared of traveling, but narration of Kirsten is so soft and informative that I feel I visited England already :)

You two have fulfilled my dream of seeing Britain ! My mom passed away in March/21 and among her meager possessions was an envelope with a return address for long lost relatives in Cardiff . My search for them has begun and who knows my dream to visit them and see Britain may come true yet ! In the mean time I adore your content and eagerly await each new offering......many thanks from Canada !!

I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom . I hope you connect with family in Cardiff and get the chance to go there . My sister lives 2 1/2 hours away in Oxford and I plan on taking the train to Cardiff my next visit . There are so many places to see and such beautiful countryside as Kirsten and Joerg show so wonderfully . Wear comfortable shoes and pack light ! 💗

My heart goes out to anyone who has lost a loved one during these unprecedented times , as the restrictions limit the arrangements and final service you are allowed to have to celebrate their life . It feels so unfinished ...but imagine my joy when I came across that "blue envelope" I had remembered , from so many years ago. I knew that if I where to have half a chance of finding my UK family I needed that return address . So now envelope in hand , the fun begins ! Safe travels to Cardiff Ruby !

The hardware in this cottage is dreamy! There isn't a corner that hasn't been addressed with beautiful (period style) hardware... the window sash pulls and locks are a whole series by themselves...! Amazing!

I fell in love with England at the early age of 18 right out of high school around 1970-ish when I was privileged to camp throughout East Africa. We stopped over in London and I was immediately smitten. I purposefully ended my African soujourn one week early so I could return to London to explore on my own. A year later, I had a chance return trip to England the end of March to early April. Oh, my goodness, I was in heaven! The gardens and blossoms were ethereal. I made it a point to quickly visit Amsterdam! Well, a year after that, I took off one entire semester of college to travel Europe, concentrating on my beloved England. As an Englsih major in college,we were already old friends. Now, here I am almost 70 years old! I have come into some money and I am saddened I can not return because of Covid. So, let me tell you, Kirsten and Jorerg, it delights my heart and memory to see both of you enjoy so much what I once did, too. Your videos mean so much to me! Thank you both for what you do! One day, we all visit together when this crazy mess is over. Goodness ... all these years and I never figured out to wrap the strings of tea bags around the handle. Brilliant! Again, thank-you both!

I’m a Dutchman and prefer to go to England for holiday, it’s my favorite holiday destination, and have been there a lot of times now. England is a kind of magic place for me. If you ask me, I’ll go every year. In another lifetime, I also life over there😉...., but then is there the reality.....

Even in urban London (out in the leafy suburbs), we get constant birdsong during the day. They start at about 5.30am so you don't need an alarm clock. They were even noisier during lockdown!

The cake box looked like a hat box to me! 😂 What a beautiful little cottage! I was surprised how nice the kitchen and bathroom are... updated to a very high standard! Bonus: the brick colour outside complements your hair in the opening shot!👍👍
The Flower Pot is a lovely pub, very small inside, but has the essence of an old time pub, sadly rare these days. Good food and a micro brewery. I grew up in Hants and have visited many times.

Oh Kirsten, the look of happiness in your face as you have finally been able to get away at long last. Hampshire is a beautiful county with all those lovely quaint thatched cottages. Your cottage is small but beautiful and I particularly like the fact the window in the sitting room is quite large so it lets in a good light. So many cottages have such small windows and can feel so dark inside. This lovely place shows that a home can be small in proportion but still stunning. I love the furnishing fabrics they have decorated the cottage with. Joerg looks so chilled out and relaxed too. I look forward to the next video.
