Gavin Harrison always with the same footprint, we all know for the only and characteristic way of playing.
Gavon Harrison is the best drummer alive. Check him out in his main band Porcupine tree in the song Anesthetize (live in tilburg video) and Hate song live also!
Hmmmm…better than Danny Carey? Steve Gadd? Mike Portnoy? Chester Thompson? I mean, he’s OUTSTANDING and in the top-tier of currently performing drummers, but I always try to resist the temptation of calling my personal favorite musician of any instrument “the best”. Actual facts can put so done in the top 10, but from there, there’s an element of taste and subjectivity involved Just my opinion.
Gavin Harrison IS no doubt a superb drummer. ✌️

I love this track, Gavin Harrison his amazing as always. My favorite track by The Pineapple Thief is "The Final Thing on my Mind", you must listen to it, it's amazing !

I did not know this group. I really like it. It reminds me of Porcupine Tree and slightly Big Big Train.
TPT is like a smoother, turned down by 1 ( or up by 1...) more experimental cousin of Porcupine Tree. Yes, that good. Having PT's excellent drummer (Gavin Harrison) helps - and their earlier stuff is v. good too. Try Burning Pieces from All the Wars. Very good band! :)

Hi John, I discovered this English group by accident about 3 or 4 months ago, ending up being my favourite band of all time. If you play bass can I suggest to have a listen to Part Zero, on the live DVD "where we stood" on UA-cam. Love the bass in it, the bass player really kicks it. All the best mate, love your reactions to Gavin's trippy playing.
