wow Dave...very cool Video. Three days you was walking? Respect. And the weather...ufff... great Video. New Zealand...beautiful country. I was today in Adelboden, Waterfall "Engstigenfälle" and on Tschentenalp in Switzerland and made some short videos.
Cheers, not many would climb the red crater 1886m or 766m from car park with 20kg on their backs but we were doing the full circuit with full storm alpine gear so a bit of a grunt for us boomers 🧐
August, what did you think, doable conditions for you? We were the only ones that did the crossing that day other than the alpine course people. I’d not do it solo.
@@OutdoorsmanDave that's awesome that's around the time I was thinking of going. late August. Looks perfect! Definitely a perk to doing it in winter with less people doing it. Thought this might be a good one to get more alpine experience. Got a couple friends wanting to do it too, definitely one of those things you don't want to do alone if something were to happen
OMGosh, that is an absolutely incredible place, and that hut is something else, I sure wouldn't mind staying there. Wow, one nice hut.
It really is!
That was fabulous! Thanks.
Thanks Te Aroha (beautiful name) I will be releasing a informative video on the historic Waihohou Hut soon so keep a watch out.
awesome one Dave! much respect to both of you
Glad you enjoyed it Ralph
Wow, fantastic trip and video Dave. Looked gnarly for sure on your crossing but amazed at how well it cleared up! That park is a special place
Yes & thanks. It’s a great opportunity presently to hike the normal tourist hotspots. Dude your hair back in the day was equally as wild 🤣
@@OutdoorsmanDave Haha it was growing out from an all over number 2 believe it or not
