Thanks for all the pointers. I managed to catch 3 diamonds within less than 25 minutes of fishing at this spot. Two diamonds in a row at that. Third within the fourth cast. Diamond bonanza, I'd say. Cutthroat (5 kg), Brook and another Cutthroat (over 6 kg). All on in line spinner number 6.

I tried this for the cut throat in the same spot you did I made 5 casts had 3 silver a gold and bronze I figured I’d try a hook size bigger #5 hook and on the first cast with that got my first ever diamond trout and my second ever diamond thank you for the tip flinter

I was suprised when I hit a diamond large mouth and small mouth bass within 10 minutes of each other on a size 7 frog using the twitching technique. All within the first few hours of playing. Ive been hooked ever since.

The diamond cutthroat really is comically large. For those that haven't seen it, you won't understand until you see it.

Level 126 player here, if nothing is biting switch it up. And catching more fish = more respawns. Water temps don't matter at all.
I just came back to the game. I played for about 2 months got to level 50, just farmed Atlantic salmon for levels. In 50 levels I could not catch a Diamond. I used all the right hooks and baits, I used all the spots. Today I finally got my diamond with the first spot suggested. Thank you so much.

I played for the first time last weekend. I caught a Diamond smallmouth in one of Taylors Tackle thing. I think the depth tutorial. I also got a Diamond perch shortly after.

I wish they added this to cotw instead of making it a separate game.
I hope their next game combines the two, adds survival elements and basebuilding. I wouldn't play anything else

On my 3rd cast i caught a diamond cutthroat and on my 5th caught a diamond brook trout thank you
I caught mine 2nd cast with size 5 spinner at 47.5 Fahrenheit in the evening
Second cast got a Diamond Brook trout with a size 6 spinner 💪🏽

On the Muskie spot try size 4 swimbait, caught 1 diamond and multiple golds within an hour
took about 2 or 3 hours, caught a brook diamond and cutthroat diamond finally pretty close toether. game time was around 16:00

I'm gonna be 100% honest I am level 20 just started playing 2 days ago and I watched this vid thinking he just got lucky I then went into a map trying it and in less than 10 minutes I caught my first diamond.
When i tried the game, i got a diamond in about 5 catches. It was pretty wild, but 100% luck

Does the equipment you’re using affect the tier of the fish?
Only in the ability to not snap the line. As long as the line doesn't snap, it's lure and hook size that matters.

MORE IMPORTANTLY.....water temperature has been debunked several times by jaxy the community manager in his live stream every week.
Yup temp ranges for diamonds are consistent...HOWEVER...it is currently IMPOSSIBLE to chase water Temps....plz go look at steams by development teams before wasting ppls time chasing bonk Temps.
You need to do better bud , no sub yet , until you do.
