@@Lllmac Well of course this is the Mania engine, because this is just regular mania with a sprite change. They meant they wanted some new level designs and maybe also level graphics to reflect Spinball's level designs and overall pinball concept.
Yeah, I genuinely loved the idea of a Sonic pinball type game when I first heard about it as a little kid in the 90s, especially thanks to zones like Spring Yard and Casino Night, but honestly I didn't like what we actually got on the Genesis. I don't really know why the US team that made the game wasted time and money creating a new but ultimately inferior game engine when they could have just used what the Japanese Sonic Team already created. They could have gotten faster, cheaper, and overall better results. Using a good engine like the Mania engine to make a quality Sonic Spinball 2 would be pretty cool.👍
I've never played Sonic Pinball but the sound effects and sprite really give Mania an interesting experience. Nothing about these mods ever disappoint and I'm seeing how well the uploads this week are, a more than great start. As always, awesome upload Jay 💯
