I need to go south London and check aunty Guyana 🇬🇾. I’m so proud I’m Guyanese. Our food is amayzing and need to be seen on tv more and eaten more by the world 🌍 x
My family were all born in british Guiana. It was Guyana british west indies when I was born. It is now Guyana after going independent from england. My beautiful Guyana. Out of six ethnic groups we are one. One people, One nation, One destiny. Beautiful video. Thanks you, and thanks for showing Faye she is beautiful and I can tell she is an amazing cook ❤️🙏🇬🇾
If I lived in England, near Kaieteur Kitchen, I would be eating there every week, and trying everything on the menu. I visited relatives in Guyana in my adolescent years. I miss the black pudding, Chinese Guyanese fried rice and chow mein, pepperpot, curry and roti, and the pies. I am Trinidadian born Chinese of Guyanese parents, watching this video in SoCal. Fay looks to be in her 50s, so I would adopt her as my younger sister. I wish for her business to grow upwards in the new mall location. The locals will love her food. No dieting here! 😆😆😆
Guyanese food is the absolute best! Hands down. So proud of my mixed culture of so many absolutely wonderful cuisine!! (My family is mixed with EVERYTHING) LOL you name it!! : ) love love love it 💙💙💙
I'm from Guyana and were are a multiethnic country with people from continents like Africa and Asia we have a pass of British Colonial influences our food ranges from African foods like Conkie yam and plantain foo foo Indian takes like curries Roti's and Asian twists like Fried rice and chow mein I love my country and that's just an insight if your thinking about taking a vacation

AUNTY FAYE I LOVE YOU, I'M PROUD OF YOU AND ME AND BABY GIANT COMING TO SEE YOU REAL SOON!!
Kaieteur Kitchen is moving to Castle Square, a new retail and restaurant destination in the heart of Elephant and Castle directly opposite the train station. Castle Square opens on Saturday 26th September. Pop down and try some of Faye’s delicious Garnian cuisine!
Great to see doing her business. But like a lot of people she gets the African influence wrong. But she was good explaning the different races and the diversity of food compared to other places in Caribbean. There is no such thing as Jellof Rice in Guyana (which was introduced by Arabs in Africa). There is a more recent Spanish Rice dish which is a recent dish in Guyana which is what she might be talking about. Blacks in the Caribbean were not able to hold on or remember many dishes that were cooked...we are talking about 300 years away from Africa. It really hard to tell if something is actually African unless its actually very obvious with something like ....fofo, and that's something that was eaten in Guyana. (made with mashed plantain). Most dishes that are called African in Guyana in other places are actually Creole...Creole means Black and European mix. Seems like shes experiment and changing stuff up. We dont put put beans in our beef stew with. Guyanese dont really use kidney beans....thats more of a Jamaican thing. Her spinach rice is probably from influence by the way some indo Guyanese make Cook up rice. People its really basic...if something is made with pastry it mostly likely originated in the UK or France. Patties /meat pies originated from England. Guyana has many different British influence dishes.
The things she could do with a cymry (welsh) black beef and lamb.. (from the black mountains) .. that lamb shank you enjoyed would pair lovely with Guyanese recipes i think❤👌
raaaaahhhh for sure! Ive had much carribean food.. love salted ackee balls omfgs yum! But me need to come see this cook.. I just know the love from that woman is in this food..I recently came back from veganism so id love to try their food.. the carribean food in Swansea is gentrified af.. bar 1 or two places. God bless her
I love her food! Must visit her restaurant at elephant park it's worth the visit !
Guyanese cuisine has many influences, not mainly Ghanaian and Sierra Leone, as Fay seems to be stressing on. Excellent cruise.
She was speaking about the African side, thought we come from more African countries than she may know.
GT!!
Pepperpot on Christmas, all Guyanese know
The things she could do with a cymry (welsh) black beef and lamb.. (from the black mountains) .. that lamb shank you enjoyed would pair lovely with Guyanese recipes i think❤👌
