This channel should have 500,000 subscribers. Excellent narration and videos!!!
Well it would make doing this easier! 🙌🍻
Best Fly fishing Show On You Tube
Wow, thanks!
What i appreciate about this video is the narration of the focused approach you take to sight fishing these big browns. One sees your strategy unfold.
Good job!
Stumning browns.
Great to hear:) There is strategy to each fish as a "project" and we'll be sharing this style a lot more in our content to come.
Is this private water? Good Lord!! Every single one was a monster!!! Best channel for all things fly fishing. Looking forward to maybe rainbow trout episodes?
nope, public land with a little bit of effort over the 16 stream km walked. Low populations to be sure
@@jensenflyfishing you actually showed the location of this stream when you showed the power lines in the back. Well more confirmed. Better numbers in that region this season though.
@cuslife sometimes the obvious needs to be stated I guess? :) Like every photo or video out there, those that know, know. Ethical anglers would have left that creek and the region alone after Christmas for how hot and dry things were up there. But that's a NZFG issue that will come to roost. All the best.
@@jensenflyfishing it's far far worse this season than last. Look at the current ecan flows right now. Almost nothing in Canty is good and west coast is repeatedly blown out.
@@anatticuslife I was just coming back to edit my last comment as I didn't want to sound too negative. Yeah this season after NY eve it absolutely went bonkers dry & hot. Meanwhile F&G continue to focus on trout catchability as a guide for stream temperatures and continue to ignore trout survivability as the guideline for when to stop angling. So long as they focus on our use of a resource instead of what's best for the resource they're doing themselves and the resource massive disservice. But, now, maybe this is too negative? Hope you get the spirit of frustration as a conservationist. All the best and hoping for a better 2024-25 :)
This stuff is unreal! Great work 15:30
Thank you! 😊
Great fishing guys, not much happening in Hawkes Bay NZ on my local streams due to that massive cyclone last year. The rivers have been sand blasted, no trout around and the aquatic life destroyed, might be a few years to come right. Keep up the good work
that was our suspicion of some of the waters - we were originally going to go N Island that summer but then that parade of storms hit. This year we were going to head N Island but we just didn't want to risk running into exactly what you describe. We'll get up there next year but certainly pick the regions mindfully to exactly what you're describing. Hopefully it turns around for you.
Aside from your expertise as fly anglers, which is top notch, your loving couple vibe is just a joy to watch and listen to. How lucky you are to have each other! I enjoy watching your videos for that as much as what I learn from your skills. Where abouts (in general) do you live? I am guessing somewhere in Canada? Keep living your best lives together and thanks for sharing bits of it!
Thank you. ❤ We're a couple from southern, AB, Canada and we were very lucky to find each other for sure! When you value someone or something immensely you work at it to be the best it can be and honor it and that's no different in our relationship:)
@@jensenflyfishing Thank you back. You two are truly gifted and a gift.
What knot do y'all use for the leader to fly line connection? I've used the nail knot and I HATE when the fly line falls down toward me haha, esp. with those 14'+ leaders!
I do put the leader around my reel seat to help.
Just loop to loop - kinda have no choice but to loop it about the reel seat. :) www.patreon.com/jensenflyfishing
Hola Eh!! 🎉🎉
Yo 🤣
leader length?
16'
Is that public water in the lower 48?
no, further south :)
@@jensenflyfishing yeah, just a bit south 😂😂😂
@@Jrad28 At least Tijuana...
