It looks like a 4x4, so often there’s a random toilet in the basement (no sink) and washer/dryer in the basement too. That extra toilet saved my cousins and me when visiting grandparents!
Always fun to see the before and afters. Well done. Suggestion: I wish the person filming this would show more pictures of large sections of the rooms, rather than numerous closeups of a loaf of bread, a bedspread, a cabinet door, etc. I didn't get a good sense of what this house looked like, after. And I would have liked to see the entire house -- including the mudroom. A friendly suggestion....
They did a nice job on this one but, dang, that derelict house next door is, like, 8 feet away. That'd probably be a dealbreaker for me. ::pause:: Actually, now that this house is done, I'd probably be interested in the derelict house next door... 😉
I would have added a small railing to the side door entrance for safety, it looks dangerous, especially the small step at the top. No railing or bar on the wall for security going up the stairs, the fridge is in a separate room
I wish they showed the whole house finished, they didn't even bother showing the rest of the bedrooms. Unless this is a shortened version of the full show and they decided to cut off the important stuff on this channel.
Think more likely they just covered the one with a tub instead of getting fancy with removing pipe/repairing the floor. Needs to have the laundry upstairs, too. With the overwhelming amount of laundry generated with all the upstairs bedrooms, why would you do a downstairs laundry. A downstairs laundry in this instance means lugging & trying to see around a heavy laundry basket!!!
Where's the refrigerator. Please don't use the same tile for different rooms..cheap. Love the copper downspouts..Like the decor. Hard to tell..need to see it backed up.
As always, they have done some great work, but it seems a terrible shame to have lost all that original molding and baseboard. So much of the original charm was thrown out.
That is an interesting house indeed. The layout looks like the whole house is sideways on the lot. The side door is the logical entry given the floor plan inside. Given the budget, they did a spectacular job on it. If the budget were bigger, i would remove the front verandah, put bay windows on the front wall, one in each front room. Build a porch at the side door to make that the main entrance. Then it makes sense. Given the floor plan, I would have areanged the kutchen so the refrigerator is in the kitchen proper, then the bump out could become a downstairs powder room as well as the back door to the house. Upstairs, that bump out might have become an en suite.
@michaeltutty1540 No mention in this short of what looked like beautiful, and maybe original, etched glass windows in the Living Room. I wonder whether they could not be reused - whether the glass itself was unsound - or whether they detracted from Evan & Keith's aim for maximum light.
@L.Spencer in the south, absolutely, as it is very hot and sunny and white reflects the light so it helps to maintain the house more chilled in summertime.
Too bad they couldn't have preserved the original windows, woodwork, and cabinetry; they were so charming, but I guess restoration is too expensive for resale. I was expecting more colour and pattern in the backsplash tiles, but this calm look is nice, too. Nice heartfelt compliments :)
Why are there no outside fences, I don't like that just anybody can walk up to your back door. Doesn't feel very secure. Is that a thing in America?? In England you would have a clearly defined outside garden, fenced for security. Inside is lovely
Prima di tutto, la case italiane non sono di legno, ma in calcestruzzo ❤ , poi nel bagno hanno tutte il bidet 👏👏🎯 ,comunque di stile italiano non ha niente
I got excited at first seeing the old doors, skirting, kitchen cupboards etc. I hope that some things were recycled to a vintage building materials yard!
If it really is an Italianate house, as it looks to be, it might have been plumbed for a toilet plus a bidet. The imported olive wood and terracotta tiles are right on -- and I'm so glad they decided against a silly distressed "Tuscan" fresco.
That kitchen is gorgeous. Sticks to the theme without being over the top
The house is beautiful but I myself would need at least a half bath downstairs!!!
All houses need a (1/2?!) bathroom on every floor!
It looks like a 4x4, so often there’s a random toilet in the basement (no sink) and washer/dryer in the basement too. That extra toilet saved my cousins and me when visiting grandparents!
Nice but the fridge should have been put in the kitchen and a half bath down stairs someplace.
I think this is my favourite house out of all the projects Bargain Block has done. FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!
I loved the house they did on Rock The Block!
Ditto ❤❤❤

I wanna see how the diagonal hallways look now!
That house next to this looks interesting. I would love to see it renovated.
yes, i wondered about that too. Why buy one house and leave the neighbor one looking like crap. I would not buy the nice, no way.
It looks so good.. I like everything about it and besides this style will even look good in 20 years because its timeless.
Absolutely love Shae, she is the best
Wow. I would love to have this home.
Take a shot every time they show the loaf of bread
Thanks for that. Now I’m wasted 😜
If I had done that, I would be ☠️. 😂🤣😂🤣
Love a Keith and Evan kitchen! They always think practically too. Surfaces next to cooker, lots of surfaces! Thanks for changing the USA guys.
With this one, their design skill is maturing.
I like the oddity of the upstairs floorplan!
The fridge needs to be IN the kitchen. And they absolutely needed to add a powder room downstairs.
And a dishwasher!
Fr lol what is happening
“Yeah, I’m going to do diagonal halls everywhere, it’s going to be EPIC…” 😂😂😂😂
A little bit of the Veneto Region. I totally get it.❤
Love, love love this house! I adore Keith and Evan! I wish I had the money to hire them to renovate a house for me. ❤
Not having at least 1.5 bathrooms is always a non-starter for me.
Me too!
This did come out very nice.👏🏼👏🏼🍂🍁🍂
Think the one toilet opening was covered by a tub in the upstairs bath. Think the before upstairs floorplan makes more sense than most, for its age...
No house should have just one bath. A family struggling with one bathroom.
Should have added a half bath downstairs.
They missed the opportunity to add 2nd bath. In my country, 1 bath house is so 1980's.
I was under the impression that these houses were sold furnished, but I keep seeing the same stove in all of them (the dent tells the story...lol)
They did a nice job on this one but, dang, that derelict house next door is, like, 8 feet away. That'd probably be a dealbreaker for me. ::pause:: Actually, now that this house is done, I'd probably be interested in the derelict house next door... 😉
Would of liked to see the angle hallway and all 3 bedrooms.
Very nice.
SE MICHIGAN 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏
I would have liked to see the complete redo including mudroom and office, too...
they now need to redo that awesome but derelict English house next door to complete the continental theme
Keith and Evan
👍💚💪
I love it!!
I would have added a small railing to the side door entrance for safety, it looks dangerous, especially the small step at the top. No railing or bar on the wall for security going up the stairs, the fridge is in a separate room
I wouldn't like the other house so close, other than that lovely 😍
Your best ever....congratulations. South Aftica

This is a shortened version.
This is less than 10:00 minutes. So, yea shorter version
@@terrihartbarger Yes but they sure did cut off the showing of all rooms even at a glimpse.
@aryaprincess2479
But lots of emphasis on a loaf of bread...
Would have liked to have seen the bedrooms and bathroom.
"It feels like Italy" - said by people who have likely never been there. That is a STRETCH
Except the lady with red hair says she has been
It's sparse for a Keith and Evan remodel.
Budget went to structural
Where do I put my linens? What about my toothbrush, soap dish, hair dryer, electric shaver?
That’s one thing I notice about their bathrooms - no storage and sinks with little to no counter space. Looks cool but a nightmare to actually use.
Not two toilets, it's probably one toilet and one bidet. Very common in southern Europe.
i don't think they knew what they were doing
Think more likely they just covered the one with a tub instead of getting fancy with removing pipe/repairing the floor.

How pretty!!

Copper gutters again, why? How long did they last in that neighborhood?
As always, they have done some great work, but it seems a terrible shame to have lost all that original molding and baseboard. So much of the original charm was thrown out.

In hot weather that front porch is a life saver...

The glass could have had a film put on to make it safe.
You guys do an absolutely amazing job!!
Shea was a little flirty with the gentleman in the shirt and tie, no? 😉😘
No, she wasn't. She was being friendly, professional and acommedating.
Wow, why did they build the houses so close together
Common for the time it was built,
Why would you not put a walkway to the side door. Geeze! Otherwise, another great job.
And no bannister for safety, in Detroit winters?
It's hilarious what Americans think Italian is. Traditional Italian sinks are ceramic or stone, absolutely not copper.
I can't imagine the cleaning process...icky.
I was wondering if Italians would want a stark white house. Seems like it should be a yellow or something.
@L.Spencer in the south, absolutely, as it is very hot and sunny and white reflects the light so it helps to maintain the house more chilled in summertime.
Yea! ✋🌈 ♂️♂️🏠 🏡

I'd say many houses have fences and many do not. It's not uncommon to not have a fence.
I could definitely live there. The kitchen and bathroom was beautiful!!!! Tyfs God bless you
Y'all just can't do no wrong. It looks good 👍🏾😊...
They ruined that pretty home. Where is the nice trim and baseboards.
U have 2 toilet holes because one hole is for a bedet and the other is d toilet
damn..i already LIKED and watched this episode, still jump out to my page...anyway the fan of HGTV ever..
Great place. Don't like the front door.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Prima di tutto, la case italiane non sono di legno, ma in calcestruzzo ❤ , poi nel bagno hanno tutte il bidet 👏👏🎯 ,comunque di stile italiano non ha niente
Where's the frig?
No room in the kitchen proper, and no staging space for taking foods out or putting foods in.
You 3 are hilarious😂! Aren't you worried about breathing in asbestos in those old, rundown homes? What do ppl in Detroit do to their homes 😳?
Meh. They took all the vintage charm out of it. I'm more interested in the 1920's Tudor next door!
They tend to do that.
I got excited at first seeing the old doors, skirting, kitchen cupboards etc. I hope that some things were recycled to a vintage building materials yard!
@@gayewells3558 me too. But I suspect it's all in a landfill now ☹
So how you helping??
@@nanaman I just lived through Hurricane Helene. We still don't have drinking water. I'm feeding hundreds of people a day. How are YOU helping?
Seems very muted for Keith's taste ❤
Not likely two toilets, more like one spot for a bidet
If it really is an Italianate house, as it looks to be, it might have been plumbed for a toilet plus a bidet. The imported olive wood and terracotta tiles are right on -- and I'm so glad they decided against a silly distressed "Tuscan" fresco.
More likely they moved the original location of the toilet to relocate the tub and did a so-so job and left the old toilet opening.
That agent is super annoying. Couldn’t watch the whole thing because of her immaturity.
The cutting is annoying, the pic of the bread was extraneous...
