- Courtesy of the Mike Squier archives comes this excellent Marianne Faithfull interview from 1987. English singer and actress and recording artist in her own right. Marianne's brilliant version of Ballad Of Lucy Jordan followed Broken English in the early 1980's bringing international fame and acclaim. Handling provocative questions here with aplomb, Marianne Faithful is all class ; so much more than Mick Jagger's ex-girlfriend with a storied trajectory from the epicentre of the British 60's music revolution to the depths and triumphs of a solo performer,
Credit to Ms Faithfull for keeping her cool in this interview. This interviewer ( not even going to refer to him as a journalist) has the tact of a peanut.
Thank you so much for putting up this candid interview with my "favourite"- sorry to sound trite- having a 'faithesque bad day", lady artist. Leonard Cohen was/is my favourite male artist. Also a unique and frank individual. They both keep me "from harm". Namaste from Canada
Sir Mick Jagger was in Australia 🇦🇺 back in 1970 to do the film Ned Kelly
The questions seem unnecessarily cruel and blunt, she's on trial!
Yeah, the guy is being a huge douche. Not even one question about her music. So stupid.
Oh dear 😮 thank you so much 🙏 do you might happen to have some more interviews if her ? Would be great
I presume Marianne was using her right hand to keep an earphone in place - either that or she had toothache at the time.
I think she had a seriously infected jaw at that time.
The interviewer is vile!
Such a rude and disrespectful interviewer
