Voiceplay ARE the kings of Halloween and the theatre kids of A Capella! And I could totally see them on Broadway. One of their occasional guests, Deejay Young, was in Hamilton.
Geoff Castallucci, the bass singer of the group does a great solo cover of The Headless Horseman. He almost always clones himself 3 or 4 times so he can harmonize with himself. Geoff also does a cover of Jack's Lament. The production value of these guys surpasses all other groups.
While pentatonix may be the kings of Christmas albums, Voiceplay are the kings of Halloween music videos (of any genre). The dedication to make up and long hours of filming on top of the crazy arrangements and voice characters are just the chef's kiss.
Thank you for a great reaction to Voice Play. Please do a reaction to Voice Plays cover of In The Hall Of The Mountain King. It ia an incidental piece of music that was played by an orchestra & had no words. The costumes in this are scary, it has a storyline to it & both scary & fun at the same time. You must keep your eyes on them so you don't miss any of theit funny antics. They mimic the sounds of the orchestra.
Voiceplay is self supported they will not block videos you don't have to blur the screen. They want people to enjoy and share their videos. They all have worked at Disney theme parks in Florida
They have many love shows. They used to tour. They didn't dress up though. My favorites.... Road Trip (blue lighting). Chicken Song. Elvira. They also were in the Song Off acapella competition with Home Free season 4 in 2014. Home Free won. Voiceplay placed 4th. They did a short video together that was supposed to be on the show but Voiceplay got voted off too soon. So after the competition ended they decided to put it on UA-cam.... Voiceplay vs Home Free - Zombies vs Hillbillies Survivor. Voiceplay does have a few of their Sing Off videos on their channel as well.
Note that the live show videos are not on their channel. If you want to find them, you have to google for them. They are generally shot on someone's phone from the audience. I think the exception is that there is a good one of "Road Trip", but I think that was because it was part of the touring show for after the 'Sing Off'. They stopped touring because of Covid and really began concentrating then on performing in UA-cam video work. They occasionally still do a live show, usually by request, but they don't tour. They WILL be doing a live show in November, where they will sing with the band Chicago in Atlantic City. I've heard it will be filmed, so hopefully we will see it eventually.
No, you were not supposed to know the kid. I believe he is a nephew of one of the guys. Layne's, I think? More that he had a creepy stare to end on. And to emphasize that he was the one that 'tricked' them. As for theater backgrounds, pretty sure all of them have worked performing in either the Universal or Disney parks. They live in Orlando, Florida. I know I've seen videos (not their channel) of a Beetleguise show that Geoff and Tony were in together. Tony left VoicePlay to work behind camera more and is not in this video. He was in the first video of theirs that you showed your wife. Note that even the guy they use for complicated make-up like this, worked at one of the theme parks. Pretty sure it was Universal, but not positive. I think that is where they met him. Seems to be that most of the singers they know who 'feature' with them, worked at one of the parks at one time or another, too. Probably because it is good, regular work in that area. This shoot was a whole day affair with all the stops for make-up changes. Started very early morning and didn't wrap until after 11:00 pm I think. Would be impossible to do live with the changes. They could possibly be entirely made up, but then it would be the only song. And Layne the Beatboxer couldn't actually perform. The putty on his face for the nose made his mouth movements too slow, at least according to what he said in the Behind The Scenes video. If you watch him carefully here, he does not appear to be doing as much vocal percussion as usual. Certainly not all that one hears in this video.
It's not his son, it's a nephew of someone in the group, can't remember who. But, actually, some of the 'hand' shots are not him, it's Geoff's wife Kathy 'doubling' for him because he was unable to do things exactly as they needed him to do. You know how kids can get easily frustrated and bored, etc. And Kathy is a very petite woman, so she was able to fill in.

...And Rachel Potter was on Broadway in different occasions, if I'm not wrong 🙂
José Rosario Jr. was in Hamilton as well

I highly recommend their recent rendition of Hellfire, it is mind blowingly insane
Please do their cover of Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King."

Depends on the song it’s not just them in charge of copyright. Certain songs have different levels of copyright.
@@ScottauchterlonieMusicyeah, and if Sony has anything to do with it, you can expect a block, lol.

Very true. But I found no one I recommended these to had no trouble finding them.
@@ronsbrat525 Yeah - just didn't want him to spin his wheels looking through their channel for them.
