Hi, thanks for the video, very informative. I'd like to visit but there's no ticket available for next few days, so is it possible that I just drive directly to Birkenau (2nd part) and get into the camp? If the answer is yes, is there a parking lot there? Also can I take free shuttle to Auschwitz (part 1) from part 2 and get in? Thanks in advance.
Hi, no, it's not possible to enter Birkenau without ticket. You can come to Auschwitz and get a free admision ticket and with it go to Birkenau. There is a free shuttle from Auschwitz to Birkenau. There is a parking lot in Birkenau, but you have to remember it's abuout 500 meters away
I would like to add one more thing. Remember about decent clothing. Cover your shoulder, knees, belly, back. And check if you have anything on your cloth. Some pictures or inscriptions are just mistmatched
Kind of depressing how much of an industry is built up around this. Even with all the emphasis on "respect" and "sensibility", it still feels like profiting off of tragedy.
Information is quite different on all of the websites about visiting. I hope when I go there in 2 days I won't encounter any issues :(. I'm going without a tour.
Thank you very much for the information

the biggest problem is, that jews have not put their hands on it :D
Does it cost to get into this place? Can you buy souvenirs? Or is it just all the nearby hotels that are making money?

How was it? Trying to plan it. And doing my research.
Can you recommend any well organised tour operator with hotel pick up?
