I loved each time Joxer showed the brave heart he was. Like when he stood up against Callisto (aledgely) in order to protect Argo. Being brave is not about not having fear... it's about making the choice to overcome it. He always knew deep inside that he wasn't particularly skilled or strong, yet when he was the one man standing between innocent and foe, he chose to fight. He usually failed, but at least he tried.
Bravery doesn't mean you're not afraid, it means being afraid and still acting.

He even showed it to Hercules and Iolaus on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys when the crowd in "When A Man Loves A Woman" was bent on touch Serena while Herc and Iolaus defended her (meaning all three men stood up for her)!

TV is as much of a mixed bag as it ever has been. You don't remember shows like Cleopatra 2525, Earth: Final Conflict, Hidden Hills, or The 1/2 Hour News Hour, do you? Because nobody was complaining loudly about why they were awful. Nobody had an agenda to see them removed from television.
Probably also had something to do with, y'know, the people doing the complaining _having jobs_ back then that weren't _social media "influencer"_ , but now it's 20+ years later and they've retired, or been laid off by unregulated rich people who decided our artificially-depressed wages and slandered/neutered/in-bed-with-company-in-a-few-cases unions were still cutting too much out of their profits.
Have you considered that, maybe, you'd be happier and people around you would be ticked off less if you limited your artistic criticisms to things which actually matter, like skill of acting, plotholes, or poor characterization of _groups you're actually a part of_ ? That way, we can iron out the bugs in the new thing. Like humanity _always has_ and, if we don't manage to kill ourselves off in the next century, will for a very long time.

And now people are complaining how Netflix made a show where Cleopatra is a black woman. On Xena, Cleopatra is also black. I didn't have any problem with that when I watched this show as a child. But as a grown up, it makes me wonder. There's historic evidence that Cleopatra was Greek, so why make her black? I just don't get it. Did the writers and producers of XWP know something?
It's just for fun. It is a documentary like the Netflix show claimed it was so it's all good.

@@RUNRO1 Cleopatra was ptolemaic, Greek. Even if they failed to keep a pure bloodline and there was some kind of mix with ancient Egyptians, they were genetically closer to Caucasians/Minor Asia than the Arabs that currently occupy Egypt after the Muslims invasion. Neither were black skinned.

It was the same way in the Ancient world. This isn't a novel idea going on in America. That's why there are dark skinned, taned skin, and lighter skinned art works of Greeks.
No she was half Greek and Half Egyptian, her own sister Aresonie had African blood. People refuse to believe that ancient Egypt was a black civilization but it was black. They never called themselves Egypt they were Kemet. Herodutus described Egyptians as having black skin. Non Africans have a bad habit on wanting to tell other people's history. Ancient Egyptians back in the day looked like present day Somalians, South Sudanese, Nigerians and Ethiopians. African history can only be told by the people who have the genetic heritage. Cleopatra's family had mixed African origins, there was a likely she was brown/carmeled color skinned but she was not a white Cacuasian, she looked nothing like Elizabeth Taylor.
