Should I buy a G scale for playmobil with my 4 year old and rc Jeeps on trail beside that I found a set and I would use ikea tables and take it to shows with my 4 kids to run. A kids layout. Rc cars, g scale and playmobil or Lego . Just for their fun. No more benchwork just more ikea linnmons for that setup
It would certainly keep them entertained and is kid safe, not sure what age group it’s designed for but it’s a great size for them to get their hands on and let their imagination run riot.
The problem with using an analogue loco on a DCC system is that it can burn out the motor in 30 seconds. Most systems don't allow analogue running these days for that reason.
True, ideally you want all locomotives with decoders however LGB made their systems backwards compatible (one of the reasons they were late to the DCC game) and the motors are much larger with a higher tolerance than say an N or HO scale locomotive. When I’m finished running my dc locomotive then I either take it off the track or place it on an isolated track with plastic rail joiners I can cut off the power to with a switch so it’s not sitting idle with AC voltage going through it.
