great informative vid sir, i do have one good recommendation when cleaning use fast drying brake cleaner instead of ballistol on the exterior and interior of the bolt, this will in my opinion get rid of 99.99% of all trace residue power/dirt and use an air gun to thoroughly remove any left over debris as well. also hit the firing pins angled tip part of the head where it locks up in the bolt face with a soft wire brush, this will keep firing pin as free floating as possible in the channel.

Thanks for the video. I had been nervous about taking apart the bolt as my firing pin also is spring loaded. Not only did your video do a bang up job of walking me through it but I was also relieved to see how little gunk was in there.

Had problems with my Waffen Works milled AK74 purchased from AGS Armament. After first 5 rounds, the spent casing came only partially out of the chamber and then bolt & carrier continued to cycle and feed next round up against partially extracted round (jam). Had to use cleaning rod to get spent round out of chamber.
This happened on each consecutive shot thereafter. Manual cycling was smoothe and with no problems. Completely disassembled , cleaned, and wire brushed extractor with bronze brush the bolt components. Reassembled bolt, finished cleaning rest of firearm and tested. Shot 3 10 round mags wiyh wolf and red army std ammo out of k var 10 R&D and tapco 10 round mags without any problems. Zeroed the weapon and then fined tuned the sights at 100 meters. Milled receiver is awesome with final 3 shot group 1.5 in at 100 meters right on bullseye using iron sights. No moe extraction problems. Very happy after I thought I had a major problem!

I removed the firing pin detent on a Draco-C, and rather than it pushing out under pressure, i had to tap it out and now one end is bent.
It tapped back in, although harder than before, but assuming I should order another one?
Was first time of it being disassembled and a 1968 build. Now, the extractor removal went great, put in a polish spring to replace and it's launching the casings now on a dry cycle! (That's why I broke it down, to upgrade the extractor)

THANKS LOADS for a GREAT video! My firing pin dropped out after a decade or more and thousands of rounds with cleaning after every shooting session at the range - why is beyond me. No cotter pin ever dropped out of my AR bolt. But thank God the pin was on my table and, with the help of this video and its closeup photography -the best thing about it- I was able to get it back in as well as clean the extractor, too. Thanks again - closeup videos are the only ones that matter!

1:15 no, it's the part that pulls the casing out of the chamber. The part that ejects it is the ejector on the left side of the receiver which is built into it.
