Personal reasons for Shanoo and Mukesh? Seems like YRF and SRK related people are avoiding the media glare. Nandini Shrikent works mainly for Dharma and Excel. It is a pity what the media witchhunt has done.
Well i want to know why almost all casting call description wants “fair or tall” actors, and dusky or dark complexion is casted as a poor background character? Can colourism be discussed in the process in future casting directors adda. Also can we define whats “pretty and attractive and beautiful” these are terms used a lot in these casting calls. Who can define what beautiful is when beauty is subjective. An actor would read these and already feel insecure for even going for these auditions as all these terms are put in place.
With all due respect, I could only hear Tess speaking. She was cutting in when someone is talking, stopped Abhishek atleast twice when he was speaking..... I really wanted to hear from others if not more, atleast in equal amounts. And also their thoughts behind a few more of the amazing casting they have done.
A better question would have been how are star kids recommended for a film or how some are replaced by star kids ? That would have ended this unnecessary debate. Loved Tess’s response, seemed like she threw shade at somebody 😉
Star kids are recommended by producers because in audiences there's always a demand. For producers, it's a safe bet. India as a country is nepotistic. Be it politics, cinema, everything. We are the country that chose a single family to run the country for about 60 years. And we call India democracy.
Learned so much from it, want more videos to come like this, sometimes as an actor we see only one side of it, Thankyou for showing their point of view. It help us to work more 💐
@@rajanisunilkumar8270 yep. You should check out Saif Ali Khan's interview on FC itself where he described the process he went through. I think this interview happened on Omkara's anniversary. Apparently, Vishal Bhardwaj wanted Aamir Khan but Mr Perfectionist wanted to make too many changes that VB ghosted him n chose Saif instead.
Wish to see a casting director mention both the star kids and common man was being auditioned for the main lead irrespective of who nailed it, firstly to give a rest to the noise that is going on and secondly to see a new fresh actor like we have Senior Bacchana Sir.
The exams should also be there to become a casting director. If they would be there, tess joseph won't be here. So f rude she is. No actor should go to her
I don’t understand why there is such a hot debate on nepotism, because most of the nepotism kids bleed money for the producers and go into oblivion. Only the good ones last as they become audiences favorite. The biggest recent example being the high budget movie “Genius” which was extremely rejected as a C grade movie.

Do people go to theatre to watch film of unknown actor like masan, aankhon dekhi, mard ko dard ni hota, phas gye re obama, death in the gunj, laila majnu etc ?
@@shashankethane that's the point, masaan is better film than neerja and had better actors. How many people went to theatre and watched that film? Why will a producer then cast Richa Chaddha and not Sonam Kapoor when it's Sonam who is pulling in the audiences?

Alia Bhatt has nailed every role she has been given barring 2-3 flops. Many directors know whom they want to cast considering they know a certain actor personally or have seen their previous performances. One cannot always expect a director to cast fresh faces.

That's not audience's fault. Bollywood producers and distributors and exhibitors don't invest in talent and promoting outsiders. Recently saw Laila Majnu and Mukkabaaz on OTT. Lead actors did a fantastic job but unfortunately I didn't even know when it released. I never saw promos or marketing for those films anywhere!
