Unbelievable resource for newbies! Picked up trapping a little over a month ago and have snagged a black yote and otter with much help from your videos. At the end of tanning process of the yote and boarding the otter and you cover it all. Keep up the great work, man. Much appreciated.

I’ve been using this method for years and it works the best that I’ve found, being a father of to young’s and working a 7-5 job I don’t have much spare time, I check traps in morning, skin at night, flesh on weekends…thanks for sharing Stu

Hi Stu, Just wanted to let you know that I FINALLY got a bobcat and am elated. Some credit needs to go to you. Thank you. I know you're not allowed to keep yours in Illinois but if you could at least make a bobcat video we could always learn from you, as we all have in the past. I am shit useless on baited sets. Blind sets I am getting pretty good. Take care.-Paul

I really appreciate your videos. Very informative and well explained. When you get a chance, could you do a fur stitching video? I know its not a common thing if you're only trapping, but for guys hunting furbearers, its required now and then. Thank you!

    Hi Stue
In a previous video you talked about washing your fur. When your spin cycle is done do you just put in dryer on low (no heat) lobg enough just for fur to dry out then refrigerate? I washed some by hand but do not have a dryer and i didn't like leaving it hang over night to dry fur before fleashing.
    Keep up the great videos.
    Thanks from ontario 🇨🇦

Hey Stu! love your videos and your passion for trapping! Question if considering freezing fur what’s a good approach to when to wash it and getting it dry before freezing? Also after the hide thaws out from the freezer do you put it back in the fridge to get the fat stiffer for fleshing again?

Stu hey you make awesome videos this has nothing to do with this video but was wondering your thoughts on 2 coil vs 4 coil traps if the 4 coils are better in frozen ground or faster

Thanks for the video. Curious why they need to be dry? I don't freeze unless I don't have boards ready or spring beaver to finish the following year and then I skin and throw in freezer asap

To freeze fur that I know will be in the freezer for a long time before I get them stretched, is to skin and flesh, then rollup ( same as you) and vacuum pack in a bag. I've had them good for 2 years by vacuum sealing. To a degree your limited to what you can bag, coyotes too big, but I've done fisher, marten, beaver, rats, fox, and weasels

As a trapper, and a taxidermist if you can get the hides sold asap. Also the inside of a rolled up hide will not freeze as fast, and the bacteria on the skin will still work on your skins. Best it to just fold once in half so freezes fast. I hope I didn't step on your toes with my advise.

Lay them fur side down, bring each edge into the middle and roll them up, just keep them flesh to flesh and you’ll be fine👍

You always have good content, and I've enjoyed your videos for several years. But I can't help myself, could you define "unthaw"? LOL, if you "unthaw" something, wouldn't you be freezing it? I'm not making fun of you, or talking smack. I've several friends that use the same term, and I always make a comment. Keep up the good work!
