- I took the Easter Road stadium tour and was accompanied by Hibs FC legend, Pat Stanton.
Located in Leith (northern Edinburgh), the capacity of the Hibernian stadium is just over 20,000. I'd highly recommend this tour to any football fans!

@@FootyAdventures You should go do Dundee Utd and Aberdeen Tours next mate . Great Video again hopefully see you back down at Beechwood for another Auchinleck Talbo Match 👍

Scotland.
Just a little bit of info.
The Greek club how's shirt you seen on the Tour of Easter Road
Asteras Tripolis
In English the translation would
be Star of Tripoli.
On the club crest you can see
Theodoros Kolokotronis
a Greek General in the Greek Wars of Independence against Ottoman Empire he sounds like a Greek William Wallace.
& yes Scotland did defeat England a few weeks ago in the Six Nations he have now retained the Calcutta Cup for the 5th season in a row a spectacular achievement considering we went 40 year without winning The Calcutta Cup on English soil @ Twickenham so definitely something if your Scottish you want the entire world to know about as we would say in Scotland England have been well & truly claimed in
Rugby Union buy Scotland for now.
You should now to The Pittodrie & Tannadice Park Tours as they are big clubs in Scotland out with
The Central Belt.
Keep Safe Sam.
@@FootyAdventures Um Sam Can You Go To Florida???
Hearts fan here but have nothing but respect for Pat Stanton. He is always very humble and respectful - a top bloke. 👍
Hearts fan every comment is praises the Sevco even you commented on Aberdeen and St Mirren game and your comment was great result for Sevco last week how pathetic are the huns making up UA-cam page to pat themselves on the back how desperate 🙄
From a hibee. Well said my friend 😊
How cool is that thank you
just watched the Hibs stadium tour from new Zealand. Been a Hibs fan for over 70 years. Was in the 65000 crowd way back about 1950. Famouse Five still clear in my memory, and also Joe Baker.
many thanks donald millar
As Liverpool fan Hibernian have always been my favourite Scottish club as my first ever Liverpool game was against Hibernian in 1975 ❤💚
An Edinburgh born and raised Hibs fan and Liverpool has always been my English team..supported them since the late 70s and been to loads of games in England and Europe (couldn't make the hearts game a few years back,,,but so what) had some MASSIVE days/nights following liverpool.. in fact my 2nd best game ever was the champions league final in Istanbul V AC Milan.. bettered only by hibs winning the cup in 2016
Pat stanton is the very definition of a true Hibernian, an absolute legend of the Scottish game.
Pat is a cracking bloke. Was once invited to the Hibs Northern Ireland Supporters club's yearly event, they used to dedicate it to a legend, it was Pat the year I went. Ended up sitting next to him on the plane over (and Jackie McNamara snr) both brilliant to talk to.
Night of the event, ent and sat with him a while and bought him a pint.
He was my Dad's hero, so I got him to phone my dad, must have been pretty late, my dad was in bed. Took time out and spoke to my dad for about 20 mins
When he first spoke and told my dad who it was, my dad didn't believe him, my dad's reaction was "Is it f***"
I used to work beside both his sons awell.
Hibernian is one of my favourite Scottish clubs daily and ever and they have a proud and massive history and the stadium tour was a massive highlight of how they would be all about, good friends!!!Even though,Hibernian are struggling in the league,I hope they would finish in the top 4 and at least challenging for an European place as soon as possible, good friends!!!LONG LIVE HIBERNIAN!!!🏃♂️🏄♂️🏋️♂️
Would love to do that tour and especially with a meet and greet from the legend that's Pat Stanton. If I ever get up to Edinburgh again, sure will. Everton fan but Hibs are my Scottish team.
I used to come across Pat regularly when I was refereeing youth games in and around Edinburgh. If you didn’t know he had been a brilliant professional player and a Hibs legend you would never have known because Pat almost never spoke about himself. I think that humbleness is a magnificent trait and I always admired that about him. Makes him an even greater man in my opinion. Good bless you Pat.
Villa fan here ........Hibs have always been my Scottish team since I was a young lad in the early 70's .........maybe because of their great players in the early 70's ......Stanton, Cormack, Cropley, Blackley, Brownlie, etc. I visit friends in Fife most years, so finally need to get to Easter Road & do a tour, or see a game. Great video.
No club I’d rather sell John McGinn to than Villa
An ex Hibs player won the European cup with villa. Though I hate Hibs with a passion.
Pat Stanton was one of the best players I’ve seen. Pure class. A legend indeed a!
I was on the terraces the night when Pat was sold to Celtic. It was utter disbelief on the terraces. Albeit, it was a crafty and great move by Jock Stein. Pat your a legend and a fine man indeed.
In fairness we got Jackie McNamarra out of it, and they both go down as hibs legends
Quite a few Hibees jealous you've blethered to Pat Stanton! Brilliant stuff
Just to say your doing a great job at promoting all levels of football which is so good. You tend only to hear about Premier football these days, but there's so much more, it's great that people travel around and see so much. Award yourself a day off !! Play up Pompey !!! Win, lose or draw, keep the faith.
Hibs the first British team to play in European competition when they reached the semi final of the European Cup in the 1955/56 season
Too young to have seen Pat Stanton play But remember we he was the manager at Easter Road . LEGEND. It's also one of my favourite grounds to visit. Great atmosphere.
Tom is knowledgeable about Hibs. He has all these wee stories from over the years that you can't get from match reports. Glad you enjoyed the toue.
Great video I’m a hibs man but would love to see hibs or even hearts brake the dominance of the forces of darkness
That was great, i remember Pat Stanton well, classy and elegant, a fabulous player, he was also good at Celtic but his peak was at Hibs a year or two before that big move.
Top guy pat Stanton and hes such a humble man and very much down to earth have so much respect for pat stanton what a legend ggtth
Tam Wright, a great Hibs man. 2 legends in here💚
Brilliant stadium
I've never been to Easter Road stadium. Pat stanton a legend
Great content, really glad you enjoyed the tour. I’m a ST holder and I’ve done the tour as well. But to meet Lat Stanton as well and hear some of his stories, you hit the jackpot there that day. Hope to see you back at ER for a game this coming season. New manager in Lee Johnson and a new team! If you need tickets let me know happy to sort you out.
All the best with the rest of the football content you do, I look forward to watching. 👍🏼
Superb! Thanks so much for sharing, I first attended Easter Road as a youngster in 1958, my heart still lies there, I’ve travelled the globe since these early days, but Hibs, and Edinburgh as a whole, were never far from my mind. I was therefore deeply moved by this truly lovely production of yours. Thanks again. 👍🏴
One of the best players I’ve seen play for Celtic, even though we didn’t have him for long. He was absolute class, and mentored a 16 year old Roy Aitken. I’ll be at Easter Road tomorrow for the match, hoping for a Celtic victory of course. The tour looks good, thanks for sharing
Love the vids mon the hibees🇮🇪💚
My club 💪 Pat Stanton is a gentleman.
Pat Stanton is a legend
Pat is one of my old mates Brother-in-law, Pat is a soft spoken man who was the backbone of the Hibs side way back in his day's! Pat had a pub up the road from Easter road, my mate and I worked for Pat! He is one of the nicest Guys I have ever met, I even went with my mate to the home games, yet I am a Hearts fan, I am from Edinburgh, so I like to see both those teams doing well, except on Darby games!
Brilliant Sam. I was lucky enough to see Stanton play for Hibs as a young lad and then teenager. Sauzee was the only player who ever matched that Stanton class in my opinion; on and off the field.
I love pat stanton 🐐
Great video one again 😁 If you ever want to see Pat in an acting role (all be it a little cameo) He played the role of 'Barman' in The Acid House (1998) by writer Irvine Welsh, who regards Stanton as his all-time hero. He's in the first segment of the Acid House called the granton star cause Anyway keep up the good work.
I remember always getting Pat Stanton’s Panini Football 78 sticker in every other packet... “Ach, no’ Pat again!”
You're lucky, I mostly got St Mirren players...jeez....
Never realised how big the ground is. Another great vid adding that ground to my to do list . Keep them coming, many thanks.
Great video, I'm actually a member of the Hibs club, and can see the ground from my house. Great friendly club.
Sam you should start a checklist of clubs in Scotland and England and experience what matchday hospitality packages are like for each club, the pros and cons etc. I feel its good advertisement for the clubs but also a good try before you buy for us punters too to see what value for money you get. All the best, Stoke Fan.
Lovely place, looks so clean.
Thanks for that going to share and I live in Bonnyrigg my son played with Penicuik, Newtongrange and Arniston hope you enjoyed
Another great vid Sam. I remember I had a card of Pat Stanton among my collection of bubble gum cards as a boy. So back then he kind of personified Hibs for me. 👍
Great video, was lucky enough to visit Easter Road for their Europa League game against Asteras Tripolis which you quickly featured. Amazing game too which Hibs won 3-2 after being 2-0 down. Did the Hibs tour a few days after and was brilliant
Videos are the best keep it up 🙌
All these regular uploads! Respect for yer hard work! 👏
Thanks for another great stadium tour Sam.
Hardest working man on UA-cam.
Mon the hibs🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
Another great tour video. Please keep them coming Sam.
Love your video's mate keep up the good work
Amazing tour my brother ❤️👍🏻
I seen a podcast a few yrs ago with pat at easter road & he went to st francis school in the same class as my dad & they were pals & he said the best player he knew growing up or something along they lines was Hughie Quinn which was nice to hear about my auld man 🇳🇬
This was awsome im a huge hibs fan
Showing my age here but I was at the Hibs vs Juventus match. Didn't matter that we lost 4 : 2, it was amazing. Thanks for this video :)
great job keep up the good work
Hey Sam,brilliant video, right at the end when you walk round the back of the stadium was the playground to Leith Academy school and you used to see all the players going to training at break times 83-84 loving all the videos mate cheers
Great video discovered it a bit late this time 🚜🚜🚜🚜
Love your stadium tour video can’t wait for more of stadium tour video
Glad you’ve completed the set 👏
Millwall has links with Scottish football rangers In particular
I'm Hibs, always take in a game at the Den when I'm in London, always a great day out 👍🏻
Apologies to the great Pat Stanton, but from the thumbnail I thought the "legend" was Michael Caine 🤣
Come to an Arniston game always a good tackle
Great vid
I love Hearts. I enjoyed this. Edinburgh
Great tour
Great video. There's still a few tickets left for the Alex Ferguson Homecoming match Aberdeen V Dundee Utd this Saturday, but it's nearly sold out and they are expecting a full house. If you only manage to get to one match at Pittodrie this season, this is definitely the one to go to. Just hope the game on the pitch is as good as the atmosphere will be.
One of the first games I ever seen as I lived in Luton was Celtic v hibs at Hampden and dixie deans got a hatrick in Scottish cup final. It was the first game alcohol was band at
cmon the hibees
They truly don't make men like pat anymore 😢❤
Mate can you please do groundhopping around junior stadiums?
Pat Stanton was class no doubt about that i would go up the.jack kane and watch Hibs training some class players in their days very good side from rangers fan here Herriot brownlie schadler black blackley cropley Duncan Edwards O'Rourke Gordon hazel and so many of players
Can you do I Livingston one please am big fan of your channel
The audio from the tour guide wasn't clear
Could you tell more about hat history again in a later video maybe?
Was at easter road for one of my meetings Monday
We played AEK Athens in 2001/02 wasn’t so long ago I know Tom very well and the first leg that was supposed to happen against AEK Athens was postponed because of 9/11 was rescheduled the next two weeks
Yes. I went twice to Athens. Brilliant time. The second leg, David Zittelli scored a absolute screamer. He threw his shirt into the crowd; I had it in my hand, only for it to be wrenched from my grasp by a supporter who for most of the match, sat down and didn’t even watch the game. Great times all the same.
@@willbee6785 yes zattelti’s goal at Easter road I would never forget

Sporting fan here, it is Sporting Portugal not sporting Lisbon!! Ahah
Influenced by Celtic?
Great video
Can you start bottling your enthusiasm and sell it on Amazon or eBay, I'd love a wee bit of it to start the day. Another great video.
Do an Aberdeen tour plz
Did they beat England? I feel like they might have done! 🤣🤣🤣
Bizarrely in light of current circumstances the visa place for visiting Russia is next door to the stadium
Please do hearts next
ua-cam.com/video/aNFIFnmeM_w/v-deo.html 👌🏽
shame to see most of the other people on the tour have no intrest to the feelings and memories stanton has
I should add…..I was the young lad then teenager😆
You need a holiday in the sun and recharge
Are you coming to Aberdeen again anytime soon
Wtf for.
@@ononewheellad check my latest vid and you'll understand why.... only scottish team with 2 European trophies

That ground hasn’t seen 20,000 for some time 🤣
Did for the derby
1st Feb. Not long ago at all
Why on earth would you take a greetin tired bairn to a stadium tour , a respectful occasion for all involved . Bad decision, ruining other people’s big day.
Sound bad
