Get a little insight into where I do all my building, and filming for the SBG UA-cam page! All my tiny projects start and finish in this tiny space, and now you get to check out everything that's going on with my current builds.
Check out Woodbox here: woodboxfactory.com/ I'm not affiliated with them in any way, I just think this is a super cool product worth checking out if you're looking for an easy way to change the look of a room.
If you have any questions, be sure to post below, I'd love to hear from you. What builds are you working on? Where do you do your building? Is this sort of workshop tour worthy of a series? What other builder's workshops would you like to see?

Thanks for showing this. Now I an show it to my wife and say “see I don’t have a problem. This guy has a problem. “
Phoenix Amateur RC Crawler “that guy” has a problem
Haha! Totally. And yes, I do. And I am.
Love seeing your creative workshop space and your personal builds. What a great little summary of your trucks.
Glad you enjoyed it!
OK, now I know I have a true RC addiction. I think I have used about 400 sq. feet to store completed builds, and another 300 sq. feet for parts and in process of build. I love your work, keep it up.
Thanks for all u have done for us in the rc world. Really means a lot to us watching and I know I have learned a ton from your videos.
Ah shucks, it's no big deal. I just really love this hobby!
Scale Builder's Guild same I am in the middle of doing a ripper myself. I am more addicted to building than running. Was doing black cage clear body. But I love the Black grill u went with. Vp is till milling it as we speak. I am in the sac area as well )
Did I spot a Hot Shot at 4:39? Great workshop and great trucks! Thanks for the grand tour!
Yep! Original Hot Shot converted to a Super Shot. It's in rough shape, so it sits on the shelf.
Wow 😲 That’s looks just like my work shop. But way more organised & better trucks 😂 Very cool 😎
Thanks for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻
Hahah! Thanks Mat!
I thought your shop was bigger, but I am impressed with the organization! You'll have to convince your wife to let you expand!
Nowhere to expand to unfortunately. Unless I take over the top floor...
Cool set up. I agree, a small space necessitates keeping it clean to work.
Without a doubt, it's a job in itself! Ha!
"My wife won't let me keep ANY of this stuff outside the shop"...yep, I can identify with that. Thanks for the tour Matt. Like what you've done with a relatively small space. Organization must be key to maintaining a productive workspace, eh?
Absolutely. Although sometimes, I'm so well organized that I forgot where I put that one crucial piece...
Thanks for the tour. Your shop/room is good. Well set up and very efficient. New to scale stuff. Been a racer/basher but have now have more scale/trail vehicles. thank you for input.
Awesome Joseph, there's a lot of fun to be had in our sub-genre.
Thanks for sharing, I love your space!
Great work room enjoyed seeing all your projects. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!
This was definetly cool, you have an awesome collection! It was real cool to see your workshop.thanks for sharing.
Thanks very much! Glad you enjoyed.
Love the shop tour.
I can definitely feel the ambiance
Makes me much more relaxing to work in with a little warm lighting.
Really cool work shop mart!! So organized . My kids and I are working on a work shop . Your tour gave me some great ideas 👍👍 love all the builds!! Amazing detail!! Thank u for showing and sharing your work shop.👍👍😎
That's great! Must be fun to build stuff with your kids. Enjoy that time together!
Nice and bright. Looks great Matt. :)
Thanks Rick! How’s about I come out and play in a week or two?!
Cool 😎.. Thanks for sharing it with us. I've just built my shop in the basement, nice seeing how you used your available space. A video on your rust threw technique would be great. I love that idea!
I will do that, thanks very much!
Thanks for sharing. I'm a recent fan and have been looking at a ton of your content. I love it so far. 👍
Nice to see behind😜 you have alot of great stuff. Super fun to look at everything! Thanks for this video!

Thanks Charlie!
Great work area. Wish mine would stay clean like yours!! Great collection thanks for the tour. I have to go tidy up.
Happy shop, clean builder. Wait, that doesn't sound right...
Super Amazing. Im extremely impressed with your level of production quality. It just keeps going up and up. I Thought you would have been sporting a huge fancy studio. Its very refreshing to see your shop is on par with the majority of us. Kudos. Keep up the amazing work. Yor doing great things for the hobby. Thanks, Mike
Thanks very much, I have a fun time putting these videos together. Even if it is in a cave in my basement. ;)
😄😄😄 Great tour sir. Wonderful to see where the master does his work. Thank you ✌🏻👊🏻
Hardly a master, maybe a top-rate amateur. ;)
Thanks for the tour, Matt. Dig that halftrack!
Thanks!
Nice video utilizing every inch of space and truly a professional! and some pretty cool vehicles I must add thank you for sharing your work and this video thank you Breeze
Thanks for the compliments and thanks for watching!
I need to get my rigs out of storage and have everything organized on shelving like you did here. Nice work area for RCs you got going on.
Keeping everything in plain view is always a source of inspiration! Thanks!
Thoroughly enjoyed the shop tour. You have a great lineup and I look forward to your builds in the future.
Thanks very much! I'm really keen to finish a couple of them!
Its amazing what we can do with a small spot.
A room full of heaven thanks for sharing
Thanks for sharing! And knowing is half the battle.
GI JOEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
A lot warmer and inviting
Thank you!
Very cool man!! As long as we got a place where we can hida away and do our thing. It's all good.. Nice use of the space and some amazing rigs.. Obviously love what you do.. Thanks for sharing.. :)
Thanks very much!
that half track looks insane!
It's a pretty fun truck. Thanks for watching.
My kind of pleasure room! 😍
Ha! Thanks!
Thanks for the tour. Awesome work space, well maintained. Looking forward to seeing the half track in person one day. A lot of very nice builds!
Thanks Brad! I guess I should bring the Half-Track to KNK?
Scale Builder's Guild , I plan on being there for sure. If you could bring it that would be great.
Thats an awesome little ship ya got there. im in the process of getting something set up for all my stuff as well! probably gonna be around the same size.
Nice! You'd be surprised how much can be done with 80 sq. feet!
Thanks for sharing! Now time to organize mine :)
Get to it!
Love the collection, some awesome rigs! 👍👍👊👊📹📹
Thanks very much!
Matt what a grate looking shop you have mine is 1/2 of that and but I just have the one truck so it works for me. I like how you have it all set up and even more all the trucks that you will be working on soon. Good video myfriend.
Thank you Troi! I used to be a packrat, but now I get rid of stuff if I know I won't use it for six months.
Cool beans man. I like your choice of colors sprayed on the back wall there.
HAHAHA! Early days of winter spray painting...
Very nice bud. Just moved mine all around again
Very cool and beautiful models, nice video my friend!)🛻🚙💥💯👍✨💫🌟
The detail on your builds is amazing. I just dont have the patience for that kind of work. But thats why I love watching your videos. Very impressive stuff.
Thank you very much! It definitely takes patience.
This video is definitely an inspiration. Thanks for showing us. May get into crawlers soon. TRX4 may be my first. I subscribed and hope to see more videos :-)
Nice! That's a decent choice, nothing wrong with getting into this hobby!
Great use of space, thanks for sharing
Happy to share, thanks!
Hi there, loved the shop tour, my favourite rc is the Toyota over you're left shoulder. It really looks like an early range rover, practically the same colour. Great video. 😀👍👍👍👍
60 series Land Cruiser in proper paint from that era!
Wow what a cool workshop. Really awesome n clean. Keep up the cool work dude.
I will, thank you!
the Fj60 and n00b orange Bruiser are my favs, shop looks great Matt!
Thanks Mike, those are two you'll never own. Hahaahahah!
Scale Builder's Guild but what if I ask really really nicely haha
What a great collection of vehicles! I would love to see a tutorial on weathering techniques. I know there are a ton out there on the interwebs but none are entertaining and informative as your vids are. Keep up the great work!
Wow! Alright, consider that on the list!
Thanks for sharing! 🤛
Love all the trucks keep on making vids
Consider it done!
Wow man nice collection u have there.. Very nice..great video aswell...thumbs up 👍👍👍👍
Thanks very much!
Great video and workshop Matt!
Thanks Nathan!
Definately cool, would like to see that weathering tutorial!
I'll add it to the list!
DEFINITELY a very efficient use of space Matt!! Impressive. 👍👏👏👏👏
I have been using Triangle Finishes Rust for about 20 years - in my other Hobby, Model Railroading. Strangely, I have yet to use it on a RC Build! Can't tell you why, except I just can't afford to.... Your use of it really looks great!
*So many Rigs!* And all nice. I used to have a nice collection too. Then stuff happened. NOW, I'm trying to figure out how I can possibly get a decent used 3-Channel RX/TX...... Just don't have it. 😳😖
Today was my Birthday... didn't get anything. So I got Blasted! Matt, you have an incredible, vast collection of Rigs, but especially PARTS - tires, Bodies, Electronics, Hop-ups, Building Supplies, spares.......
My friend, always keep a cool Head, never get complacent or cocky. I can tell you personally, it CAN all be taken away in a heartbeat! And then you'll learn that you're alone, with Nobody offering any help. It's lonely.
Anyway, you've got an awesome Shop! It's a great space for creating your masterpieces. Keep doing what you do!
Carmine 🚂 PoorManRC on RCCrawler Forums
Thanks very much. Yeah, a decade of collecting bits will create a collection. Ha!
I love the landcruiser
Thanks!
Great use of small space, white color helps make it look larger. Thanks for the behind the scenes. Later
Thanks for watching!
That’s an awesome collection and great builds
Thanks!
Nice tour, I enjoyed seeing the halftrack
Thanks for watching!
Nice man cave SBG! 👍
Thanks! It's definitely a cave.
Finally someone used the Goodyear MTR's too :D and on a Jeep :D
Ha! Pardonmyn00b swears by them. And if we're going to get all technical, not the right number of slots to be a Jeep. ;)
Cool setup & well organized! I got an lc70 project that i’ve been working on for awhile now... close to getting done just need to find time (family and work comes first). I think we have the same paint color (light gunmetal?). The classic 80s land cruiser is rad!
Yep, light gunmetal! Thanks for watching!
Cool video. Lots of very cool trucks. Poor TRX4 everybody hates how good they really are.
Not everybody hates it, including myself. Do I love it as much as others? Definitely not. Is it as capable, meh... hard to say.
Thx for this video.... interesting to see how and where others work on their rigs 🤛
Thanks Lukas! I hope to make this a series.
nice use of space very clean efficient and very nice scale trucks I like your taste in machines and you are so creative I love art and rc is art we express ourselves through our machines my personal opinion anyway way to go dude be proud of your scale trucks your super talented and I got to know your awesome ability through looking at your really nice machines art on wheels lol...😊
Thanks for the kind words Joe, I really enjoy this hobby, and sharing it with everyone who cares to watch! Cheers!
Nice Workshop and Amazing builds 👍🏻 please more run-vids and build-vids 👏🏻
Definitely! Thanks for the feedback!
Really cool video. Curious to see what kind of build you'll do with that tamiya rally beetle.
I've given up on it for now... :(
I like the bin full of bins. lol I get super organized like that about once a year and a few months later it's disarray again... Ha! Nice setup.
Ha! I think I might have a problem... ;)
great video.. looks like you have a lot of work to do.
I've got a couple things on the go, but no more than usual.
I dig it man! The lighting is getting better and your builds are seriously awesome! Thanks for the tour ✌🍗
Thank you!
Your FJ60 instantly reminded me of something Pardonmynoob would build. Super nice.
Funny story, he's building one right now. He was definitely a source of inspiration - and the other half of the SBG!
This is a great setup. Im planning something similar in my garage.
Awesome, thanks for the feedback! It's pretty fun to organize a workshop for maximum space usage!
Awesome video dude thanks
Thanks William!
Awesome video of your workshop. Very well organised, unlike me, most of my crawlers are sitting on the floor in 1 corner of the lounge. I have parts in bin tho...
Organization means it's always in the last place you expected to find it. Ha!
Awesome man 👌😁
Thank you!
Very nice!
Thank you!
Very Nice set-up.
Thank you!
Love the shop tour.
My room is of similar size.
Cheers from Norway ;-)
Thanks Capri!
Wow the shop is small, but the work is amazing. I thought it was a going to be much bigger. I feel better about the small space I have now.
You don't need a big shop for tiny trucks.
thanks for the tour!
Thanks for watching!
Scale Builder's Thank you for being a creator on UA-cam!!
Wholly $hiet! You trying to keep all the suppliers in business all by yourself. The only spare tires I have are being used every time I drive my trucks, same with my paint stock. HaHa! I read some of the comments and I don't think you need much space, just enjoy our free time and encourage others to get involved. I always let visitors take my trucks for a drive. A couple friends have bought trucks now and bring them when they drop by. Gotta be careful were not cutting into the beer budget though. 👍👍😉😉
Ha! Yeah, I like tires. Probably the best part of any build. Thanks for the comments and feedback!
Thanks for the tour. I know you have a ton of projects going. But I’m looking at the blank window. I was thinking you could push that out a foot or so. Make an outside weather proof shelf. Maybe a flower box for the wife or what ever. But the inside would make a great diorama. Like a scale garage to do photos or something. Just a thought.
I love that idea! Unfortunately, the trap door goes out to under my porch. No natural light, nothing to look at.
that's a nice Little shop you have :-)
Thanks!
Happy 100 Matt
Thank you!
Good video, gave me inspiration to get mine in better shape for filming.
Thanks Wes!
magic!!!!
Thanks!
😮 WoW! NiCe.. wish I was that organized. LoL 😶
Thank you!
Nice shop, I'm sure you spend a lot of time there, my shop is my garage and my kitchen table.
More time than anywhere else sometimes!
inspired!
Thanks!
Ok, who's the ONE guy to thumbs down this vid? What gives? Pay no attention and keep killin it with these killer vids. Ima go check out that rust paint now. Thanks. :)
If I cared about dislikes, I wouldn't even be here. All good, people are allowed to unlike things. I'll do a weathering how-to soon!
Wicked space Brother, a tour of my shop right now would be almost hazardous, lol, a lot of cleanup needed. Just wondering where ya'll are located since I've learned we're both Canucks. I'm out of Calgary, maybe we'll get a chance to meet somewhere? Great video, loved the tour, thanks Matt.
Thanks sir. Yeah, I'm nowhere near you I'm afraid. Have some relatives in Fernie, BC though.
Good stuff. I used to have a nice collection, had to sell em off to pay bills. Down to one now but would definitely like to have a nice space like this to play in.
I'm constantly rotating stuff in and out. Mostly to make money for other builds!
Nice Builds and a good channel. Like all your Cars. Btw, whats are those for Rims/ Wheels on 13.13. They are look so good. Abo for sure.
I thought for sure I would see an FJ body on one of your rigs.
👍
FJ Cruiser? I have one in a box still awaiting the perfect opportunity!
Thanks for showing us around your studio/shop & collection of trucks Matt ;)
10' x 8' is about the same as my man-cave/workshop ;) but I have way less toy trucks ;(
Good thing I don't have any more hobbies!
Cheers!! 😁
Right back at you!
Hey Matt it would be cool to get a short decal tips and tricks tutorial. I’m amazed by the decal cut outs like the Axial Racing one you have pre-paint on the lexan truck.
Cool idea! I use a Cricut, and it's really saved me a lot of time. I'll try to schedule a tutorial video when I get a chance. Thanks for the suggestion!
Thanks for the tour, really enjoy your videos. I like the shelves you are using seem to fit the cars almost perfectly. What kind are they? Where can I get the same ones? Thanks!
Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed! They're simple Billy bookcases from IKEA.
Scale Builder's Guild I knew they had to be something simple like that, I’ll be ordering some thanks! P.s.you have the best intro of all the rc Channels!
