There are several nice Japanese LP types such as Burny, Edwards, Greco, Tokai, Orville and even Yamaha made some nice ones. For this one I think I would've kept the poker chip it came with, the words were faded but it matched color better. Nice Vid Dane and nice guitar.
I love Burny i just picked one up man it plays absolutely amazing actually better than any gibson i have played im on the hunt for a greco, aria and Orville now this copies intrigue me more than original gibsons do
It's a burny Super Grade model and made in China not Japan; still great guitars. People often remove the3 screw truss rod cover - or add a two screw version to disguise the Chinese origins. Beautiful nonetheless.
Thanks for the tip on getting dent out of board. I used that trick on furniture but never thought of my guitars. I like your slow pace. Very informative. Thanks and nice guitar! Take care.
Nice! I have a 1980 Burny Les Paul gold top that was made in Japan. It’s one of my best guitars. To be exact, I have 3 Burnys: SG, ES 335 and a Les Paul and I prefer them to my Gibson’s. People are always skeptical at first until they hear and play them. For the money, you can’t beat a Burny.
Those speed knobs look right on that Burny LP Dane. Gibson used them on their early 50's Goldies with P90's and they were used a lot on Gibson LP models from the late 70's. My 79 Standard has had them from new.
Those Chinese made super grades are very decent guitars. I've got a really nice Burny John Sykes from 1984 made in Japan, its and amazing Les Paul custom for very little money....... Great video!
Never heard of Berny, the pickups kinda sound familiar, weren't they an old subdiderary of Tiesco? It doesn't have any Firefly, Benton, or Glary parts..... I'm not sure if I'd want one. I'll give you $50 bucks for it but Glenn will have to put some decent strings on it.
That guitar has a lot of character! I'm wondering if it is made in Japan or somewhere else. Also, it's great to see the guitar equipped with Gibson PUPS. You did great job making the fret board repair and replacing the nut. Too bad you didn't have a truss rod cover but I'm sure one can be made.
No it's called a Burny. Pretty easy to check online. And yes, those will most likely be real Gibson pickups, not supplied from the factory though as they use their own. Someone will ha e fitted those themselves. I have a Korean-made Vester LP with Gibson pickups in, they're not hard to find. I also own a Burny and an 80's japanese Fernandes Super Grade, and the latter walks all over my Gibson R7 gold top.

Best thumbnail I've ever seen.

Do you remember id the S/N started with FG09xxxx etc.?
Is the headstock angle the same as a Gibson, or is it more shallow?

Nothing wrong with Burny Dane,I have a blackie with a sustainer,it rocks! How's Glenn and his missus doing? Stay safe man \m/
I used to own that exact guitar! Bought it on reverb a few years ago.
Why sell it?
Was it Chinese. Trying to work out if newer Chinese or older Japanese ones. It’s either had a refret or it’s Chinese

It is a Japnese guitar made in China
This one is not from Japan, Japanese ones have same truss rod as Gibson
Rock on brother!
I endorse the steam iron dent repair 👍🏽
That's a cool guitar man. Wow
LOL Just a little lockdown humor. I'm bored. Smile, be happy, be safe.
Dude..., you forgot to change out the knobs. Cool vid though, thanks!
Looks to be a Burny Super Grade model
This guitar is still for sale
