Man, grow up. They don't care about Opera. They don't even know who tf this guy is. They are enjoying it the way they want to and singing along. More power to them if anything.
It was nice seeing Claudio back at the ground to pay his respects during the last match, with so many other players and managers, with Con Te Partiro playing in the background, the Chairman's son was barely holding it together, it was just as emotional if not more so than the above video.
Steven Hutchinson why does it all have to be about the fans, this will have been the one thing Ranieri wanted, the least they could do is just listen for a couple of minutes, considering the fans had nothing to do with Leicester’s success

Something all parents should teach their kids to stop this kind of thing happening.
@@Chris-vn2nf That is a complete fallacy. It is nothing like the example you gave doesn't compare for many reasons. In the UK it is common to sing along with vocal performances, especially at football games, it is just part of the culture. A better comparison would be an Indian person eating in a UK household and the hosts accidently disrespecting one of their traditions or a part of their culture because they did not know it existed. It is not disrespectful in any way, and one who suggests it is are just plain wrong. It implies they knew the traditions in opera and purposefully decided to ignore them, which was not the case.
@@samtorr3947 I mean I'll admit that my example wasn't exact but it made sense. The basis of what I'm saying is that listening to someone is basic respect. It's not that they were singing along, I actually love the singing along in the Nessun Dorma part, very emotional. That part that I found disrespectful was the singing of random songs to the point where Ranieri had to tell them to stop
This gives me way more feels than the Euro 2020 opening ceremony. Honestly I think the fans here are fine. You have to remember they are so so so so so excited and happy. Frankly it's even a a bit unfair to subject them to something so refined and expect them to fully appreciate it in that moment. Football is everything to some of them and this first title win was huge. Many will normally have no business listening to opera but it definitely hits them all. After all singing is something football fans have a passion for too. Bocelli seems to understand the noise and frankly as an Italian artist he likely understands passion. It's a football stadium not a fancy opera house, he could know what to expect. Besides, the contrast of 'class' shall we say is partly what makes it so beautiful.
100% This was one of the most iconic moments not just in football or sport but possibly in general in our lifetime. It transcended football and opera. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it before.
i know, but they have respect when there is a one minute silence for any kind of reason, i dont expect them to be quiet for the rest of the day, it was just 10 minutes or so
I think this is perhaps the age we live in, but the minutes silence is being superseded by a minutes applause, people just can't keep their shit together. On reflection, I get your comment. Even so, having attended many football matches, I can tell you that when the juices get flowing, calm thoughts are not the order of the day.
1:32 Bocelli begins Nessun Dorma 1:58 crowd has quieted down, not silent, and begins to listen 3:55 crowd has joined Bocelli 6:27 Bocelli begins Con Ti Partiro
This is one of the best things I've seen. Ever. in sport. In anything. Beautiful, magical, powerful on so many levels. The Leicester story is unlikely to ever be repeated. Enjoy it. Treasure it. This was the most improbable of sporting achievements and to capture that mood so perfectly with these performances by Bocelli, truly did justice to such a fantastic moment for football. Thank you Leicester. You have brought footballing joy to those who hold this sport close to their heart. An absolute breath of fresh air and the best thing to happen to football in many years.
If you take a look outside of England, you'll see it has been "repeated" numerous times. Something even crazier happened in the German league in 1998: Kaiserslautern, a team that had just been promoted from the 2nd league that year, won the title in the Bundesliga that very year. Kind of like if Huddersfield won the Premier League this year. THAT is one the biggest things ever in sport.
Huddersfield Town can be compared to this. Strong relegation candidates, then they get to play offs and win 2 penalty shootouts to get to the premier league. I no they didn't win the league but a lot of people look past that achievement because it was not in a top league.
I was there on this day, my grandad also had this exact sound played while he was carried in during his funeral including the crowd noise, makes you so proud of our team and city, gives me goosebumps to this day RIP grandad. ❤️

And as a Manchester United fan, it`s an honour to have seen Leicester triumph this year. And inviting Andrea Bocelli over , by way of a gift to the fans-well, it`s typical of the grace-filled man and his club. Well done Leicester-and may Europe be good to you next year! "Time to win again" as Andrea sings for the day!
I have no idea to this day what that Italian man was singing about. Truth is, I don’t want to know. Some things are best left unsaid. I’d like to think they were singing about something so beautiful, it can’t be expressed in words, and makes your heart ache because of it. I tell you, those voices soared higher and farther than anybody in a gray place dares to dream. It was like some beautiful bird flapped into our drab little cage and made those walls dissolve away, and for the briefest of moments, every last man felt free.

Can’t people be quiet while he was singing?!?! That was truly amazing. I don’t I’ve ever heard Bocelli sing more powerfully or movingly. Bravo!
You just asked a football stadium to be quiet lmao.
@@rmx39 It's like John Bercow calling for order in a big room full of mad politics. And it's not against you, but Boccelli is an absolute legend, and I know that Leicester fans have the right to be ecstatic, but when Boccelli's singing, you should be quiet.

This is painful to watch. That crowd is the worst
They won the title. I doubt they cared.
A footballing miracle occurred and the crowd don’t know who this guy is. They are not going to be quiet in the most amazing time of their lives
@@DomAFC9 They didn't really won anything, it's the team and management behind it, who really won. These people are just groupies.
Artificial Ryumochnaya the crowd have supported their team through everything. Everyone expected them to be relegated that season but they won the league. I saw Boccelli at an Ed Sheehan concert and he is amazing, but I don’t think these fans care
It would be an honor to see him in person. These people have no clue!
I will never forgive Leicester fans for this, absolutely criminal
Fin Goodall Vete a joder a la ópera. El fútbol es para los hinchas.
You can’t blame them they just won the fucking league
Man, grow up. They don't care about Opera. They don't even know who tf this guy is. They are enjoying it the way they want to and singing along. More power to them if anything.
Ha ha comes to the best bit of the whole performance and whips off the jacket lol

Rest in peace Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha
It was nice seeing Claudio back at the ground to pay his respects during the last match, with so many other players and managers, with Con Te Partiro playing in the background, the Chairman's son was barely holding it together, it was just as emotional if not more so than the above video.
Amen

Is that a real last name?
@@Kizdo69 Yes! He was the owner of Leicester City.
Ranieri was clearly embarassed, by the disrespectful crowds
They couldn't hear him. The sound system was awful. And the chanting you can hear is mostly the opposition fans who are being a pain in the ass
Yes, before speak He say to Bocelli: "chiedo scusa" that mean sorry in italian
Nicholas Meadowcroft No it isn’t 😂 why would the opposition crowd be singing champions when Leicester were the champions
It's a football match party day and they get Oprah singer just what the fans wanted I bet
Steven Hutchinson why does it all have to be about the fans, this will have been the one thing Ranieri wanted, the least they could do is just listen for a couple of minutes, considering the fans had nothing to do with Leicester’s success
Hands down, the most beautiful title celebration ever! Simply wow

Total lack of respect for one of the greatest singers of this era!
UFGator1972 what was 30,000 deliriously happy people meant to do everyone commenting negative things about the fans just don't understand football
It is not a lack of respect. They don't go to the Opera. They don't know who this guy is. But I can guarantee you, there will never be a performance of his like this again.
@@samtorr3947 It is definitely a lack of respect. Let's say you're English and go to an Indian person's house for dinner. Do you whip out your fish and chips whilst they're cooking you their best curry?...I hope you'd say no. You don't need to understand something to show respect.
Per i tifosi del Leicester sarà la giornata che ricorderanno per sempre!!!!!! Bravo Ranieri ed immenso Bocelli!!!!!!!!
+Angelux1945 What he said!!! :-)
he said that for leicester fans will be a day that they remenber forever, and Ranieri and Bocelli are amazing
Sì, e poi lo hanno esonerato. Non meritano nulla.
I don't think I've ever seen anything like it before.
might have been a bit better if the crowd had shown bocelli some respect and listened
+Lee Jon i know, that was so disrespectful
+mediterranea1983 It's a football stadium and their side has just won the Premier League against all expectations. Be reasonable.
i know, but they have respect when there is a one minute silence for any kind of reason, i dont expect them to be quiet for the rest of the day, it was just 10 minutes or so
I think this is perhaps the age we live in, but the minutes silence is being superseded by a minutes applause, people just can't keep their shit together.
On reflection, I get your comment. Even so, having attended many football matches, I can tell you that when the juices get flowing, calm thoughts are not the order of the day.
d Iain Little
oh well at least they enjoyed themselves
1:32 Bocelli begins Nessun Dorma
1:58 crowd has quieted down, not silent, and begins to listen
3:55 crowd has joined Bocelli
6:27 Bocelli begins Con Ti Partiro
Con Te Partirò*
This is one of the best things I've seen. Ever. in sport. In anything. Beautiful, magical, powerful on so many levels.
The Leicester story is unlikely to ever be repeated. Enjoy it. Treasure it. This was the most improbable of sporting achievements and to capture that mood so perfectly with these performances by Bocelli, truly did justice to such a fantastic moment for football.
Thank you Leicester. You have brought footballing joy to those who hold this sport close to their heart. An absolute breath of fresh air and the best thing to happen to football in many years.
+Ryan Allan this is beautiful
If you take a look outside of England, you'll see it has been "repeated" numerous times. Something even crazier happened in the German league in 1998: Kaiserslautern, a team that had just been promoted from the 2nd league that year, won the title in the Bundesliga that very year. Kind of like if Huddersfield won the Premier League this year. THAT is one the biggest things ever in sport.
Well said Ryan allen one word epic
Huddersfield Town can be compared to this. Strong relegation candidates, then they get to play offs and win 2 penalty shootouts to get to the premier league. I no they didn't win the league but a lot of people look past that achievement because it was not in a top league.
.
I was there on this day, my grandad also had this exact sound played while he was carried in during his funeral including the crowd noise, makes you so proud of our team and city, gives me goosebumps to this day RIP grandad. ❤️

And then they sacked him one year later 😳
I have no idea to this day what that Italian man was singing about. Truth is, I don’t want to know. Some things are best left unsaid. I’d like to think they were singing about something so beautiful, it can’t be expressed in words, and makes your heart ache because of it. I tell you, those voices soared higher and farther than anybody in a gray place dares to dream. It was like some beautiful bird flapped into our drab little cage and made those walls dissolve away, and for the briefest of moments, every last man felt free.
I see that Shawshank Redemption reference (;
