@keegan94820 Totally agree. For one who really dances (or other kinds of sports) may realize how much it is easier to keep moving fast than holding still / moving it slowly. Mao Asada is so far the best skater who could skate to "soft piano music". Her footwork is so solid and soft to the ice, and she never "bombs" on the ice after her jumps.
I don't understand ice skating. Sometimes it's the slow turns that really brings out the emotion in the music. I wish skaters didn't get punished for this.
@TeamKween2010 That's right. I am addicted to Alissa's gorgeous spins (well deserves GOE>+3) and her lovely smile. When I checked my photos of 2011 4CC I was so surprised to find that Alissa can maintain a wonderful smile even when she's spinning fast (at least over 1/160 sec according to camera shutter speed). BTW, re Mao's SP for 2006/07 season, I think her SA version was the best -- she just became the music! So Chopin.
