How To Upgrade Original 1993 Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (MMPR) Power Morpher

Join me as I take my collection of 7 original 1991/1993 Power Morphers from the hit 90s TV Show, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and upcycle them / upgrade them with some fresh TV-accurate decals.
The best part of the upgrade are the lightning effect lense decals which reproduce the classic lightning background from the tv show.
That's right, I said 7 morphers - watch to the end to see if you know who the seventh Ranger is!

Ah no way hi 👋 these are great - the only problem I had with the first one was I started applying from the wrong spot 🤦♂️I was looking to come back and get some legacy decals but it said you’re shop was out - hope that’s not for good?
@@order66collectibles I love the vid i watched it many times in preparation of moding my own to be a dragon morpher with the replacement decal front/back and the morphing grid green lightning effect. May I ask what was the screw driver you used to break down the morpher?
@@troymack8205 sorry for the delay coming back - I didn’t get a notification of your message! I used a micro screwdriver set (the kind you use for electronics) as they tend to work perfectly with the small screw in toys

the seventh one is lord drakkons coin.(if you didnt know lord drakkon is an evil version of tommy from the power rangers comics)

I’ve still got my 93 power morpher and gun sword in the box still sealed. Can’t open it, but the box is cool 😂
Nice!!! I picked up a boxed morpher + gun etc. it isn’t inaccurate but I’m going to spruce up the morpher and then keep the whole thing in a shadow box I think
The last coin belongs to Lord Drakkon and also I can't wait for the Master Morpher by Hasbro I hope it includes these coins. Green Ranger, White Ranger, Zeo Red, Turbo Red, Dino Thunder Black and finally Lord Drakkon
Gold star 😊 yeah I’m excited for the Hasbro master morpher - just REALLY hoping they have every coin. Starlight studios already do a drakkon coin for the lightning morpher if Hasbro don’t do his because it isn’t cannon though
@b.e.toysandcollectables that is true that Drakkon isn't Canon in the main Canon but only in the Comics Canon and Video Game Canon. I was originally gonna find my Legacy Morpher and customize it to become a Master Morpher, it only took 2 years of waiting until they announced a Master Morpher. I wonder if it will release for the 30th Anniversary Special Once and Always or will it release later this year? I mean who knows? I'm glad Hasbro is paying Tribute to Jason David Frank by giving us a Master Morpher, I always wanted to meet him and attend one of his Karate Classes and learn some moves from him. He was my Idol

I debated something like that but then thought the grease might not clean up enough

@@order66collectibles welcome. I have a vintage 90's morpher too, but I'm still missing the green ranger morpher. Despite it, I'm still going to use the silver morpher in an upcoming green ranger morph.
Why not - I used a silver one for ages and argue it was the one he used in the Dino thunder episode :)

You can use lighter fluid to remove the glue and stickers.

Adding the lightning actually makes them less screen accurate because If you look at their actual morphers they are holding when they morph there is no lightning in the morphers.

awesome video! what color spray paint did you use for the green ranger morpher? did you also use a grey spray paint for the others?
Thanks so much! Luckily the grey ones I was able to just salvage as they were so I didn’t have to repaint them. For the gold one I used rust oleum metallic gold spray paint 👍

Is there a way to fix the old Morphers? I had mine signed by Johnny Yong Bosch -Adam but over the years I found when I press the Red Button the doors don’t open anymore. You can lightly open them while pressing the button so there is no resistance. It still lights up and makes sounds. Also how do these decals look when the lights go off behind them?
There is a way, unfortunately what you describe is a common problem - you can get replacement parts (the x and y) online - starlight studios on eBay used to sell them. The decals are fantastic and you still see the red lights through them just a bit more faint
Any idea where else to find the lens decals? They aren't in etsy (that i could find) anymore

Hey I noticed you’re into lightsabers as well. I also collect those too. Quick question. You wouldn’t happen to have an extra working 93 morpher you’d be willing to part with so I can make an original custom green ranger morpher would you? Also finally subscribed as I noticed I wasn’t subd yet! Love you channel. Dying to find an OG 93 morpher. Prices are just way too high on eBay. I had one as a kid and lost it somewhere along the line and it kills me every day

Use a q-tip and Zippo lighter fluid will make the residue come off.

What are the morphers called so I can search and know which is what you have. All I keep seeing is legacy.
For the original if you search for MMPR 1993 power morpher or mighty morphin power rangers power morpher you will likely find those. If you search for power rangers legacy morpher you’ll find the diecast Bandai ones and then the newest hasbro ones are lightning collection power morphers

I had the white ranger but had to trim my collection down a little so decided I would stick to Season 1 vibes for now. I know Drakkon isn't from season 1 tv series but in the comics he's from the season 1 time
