AirAsia starts to improve with their services post pandemic. During pandemic, theres ton of complaint of flight delayed, cancelation, ticketing refund, etc.
Now I hear good news that they started to activate all their fleet that has been in deep sleep for months. I also hope that the affected customer during pandemic has receive their refund accordingly.
Still haven't got it, lol. Flight to Japan I booked in 2022 was canceled. They promised to refund that and had asked for account number to refund to in last September, yet, it's been 4 months and I haven't got it, might ask again in next 2 months for travel credit. Still, I love their service and still fly with them.
@@worawatli8952 dont stop doing so. My sister (ex staff AA) said some passenger emailing them for 10 times until they get back the refund. Some pax get it back in flight ticket voucher. I hope you get it back asap.
I had an incident with AirAsia from Bali to KL earlier this year. They set the flight status to gate closing about an hour before if it was due to board. We then had to sit on the plane for an hour until the gate actually closed. Not sure if that was the airline or airport fault?
Maybe they missed their takeoff slot.
Both prolly
Nah the take off slot wasn't for another hour, believe it or not we did just sit there waiting for it at the time it should have been@@fared___3409
da heck
Honestly AirAsia isn't that bad, I had a short flight from Penang to Kuala Lumpur on Saturday before I went back to Paris and it felt far better than any European airline, however I am 6"4 so the leg room did leave a lot to be desired.
love the editing in these vlogs dan! binge watching your channel to prepare me for a united flight i have next week!
Another great video Dan and Oskar!!! Loved it!
My company commissioned the terminal way back in 2012. Yes, we were very confused when we first got the drawings - was this a shopping mall or an airport?? It is both! If you do need to park your car at the multi-storey carpark - get in then go down to CP 4 - that is the direct access to the mall and terminal. Park on any other floor and you will need to take the lift down to CP4 anyway to get into the mall/terminal
tbf , klia T2 has everything , grocery shopping , clothes, gadget , eatery, gifts, even got clinic and pharmacy . Basically a complete mall
3:21 is literally the best part of this video
I really love air Asia I use them a lot but imo it really depends on what time of the day you’re flying , in my opinion the mid morning ones are usually best then the ones in the late evening. I do think that they are very hospitable and definitely in comparison to Ryan air
Spirit, Frontier, Ryanair and Easyjet can learn a thing or 2 from AirAsia
Great video Oskar & Dan
I took a few flights with them after the pandemic-I think they have improved despite being under administration (PN 17). It was heartbreaking to see all their planes just parked on the tarmac at this terminal just after the height of the pandemic (early 2021) and I am so glad it’s all over now and people have their jobs back.
I one of few Malaysian flying AirAsia during pandemic where we still not allowed to travel oversea, and yes, to see those stationed and not flying aircraft is devastating. So glad to see almost all of them flying again now.
Another excellent video! I Wish we had an Air Asia style airline here in South America!
Big D, Big O - always great to see you. Great to see you back in KL. A fave of mine, too. Best to you both.
Thanks for flying with us❤❤❤
flew AirAsia (Philippines) for the first time in March between Manila and Cebu. Was excited to see how they do LCC in Asia and was super impressed. The flight was cheap and the add ons were also very reasonably priced. I pre-ordered the Nasi Lemak, which was ridiculously cheap and was impressed at how good it tasted (for a LCC heated up meal!).
Excited to take them around SEA when I go back :)
AirAsia Philippines also selling Nasi Lemak? That's a wow!
@@bonifacebanta4590Almost all AirAsia flt will have nasi lemak onboard, altogether with uncle chin chinken rice.but not sure about India AirAsia.
Had a quite diffrent experience when I reviewed Air Asia for the second time on my channel. I flew the opposite way from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok, the flight was late and the cabin crew even threatened to sue me when she saw that I was filming the flight....
Apology for such issue. I think people film themselves eg josh Cahill did that. Not sure about policies like that
Thats horrible thing to say by the staff. I hope you can give them another chance next time.
I recall you had a video with a list of airlines you refused to fly and AirAsia was on that list alongside Scoot, so kinda curious why you decided to give it another shot again.
Or is it more just not for long haul transcontinental flights (e.g. Europe to Asia) but perfectly fine short haul (one SEA country to another)?
In any case, agree on the value that AirAsia offers in the context of being an LCC. And yes, KLIA and more widely Malaysia have very good prices for food.
first, love you guys! you should come to Canberra, Australia... it's got lot's of nature
9:31 song is honest by airliftz if anyone's wondering
I'm happy to see Air Asia still has it's game. KLIA 2 looks like it improved a lot
Great vlog!
I flew Air Asia return Perth - Bali last month. My departure was 3hrs after my original depature time. 🤬 I've noticed the increase in ticket price post pandemic.
Hey dan...just subscribed to this channel although i'm alrdy subscribed to the other channel...great video...just one question...how do u gain access to oman air lounge when flying with Air Asia?
airasia literally changed how the asean fly. before aa it was a luxury to fly but not anymore
Nice content and info..
Bangkok suvarnabhumi has a cheap food court like this for local food on the ground floor :)
Flew Air Asia from Hanoi to Chiangmai and then to Bangkok. My experiences are always ruined by couples on holidays who refuse to pay for seats only to disrupt everyone before flights so that they can sit together unmindful of the fact that some of us paid for our seats. The staff are unable to enforce seat assignments as well as they did pre-pandemic.
Yes ! I adore the audio chaos/competition for air at 8:00 - 8:25. So fun to start shooting video on the plane with all the announcements and advertising going on live! Love it!!1
Hahahah!
i think i was on the same flight as you! i saw you at the baggage carousel in KLIA2, but didnt want to disturb you by saying hi haha.
I never knew AK flew BKK-KUL! LOL anyway,KUL-DMK-KUL is my regular route and AK has always been on-time (i.e. less than 30mins delay max on occasions) Love the kiosk check-in/baggage drop at KUL (DMK has yet to implement this) and great food/ease of booking/managing booking (BO and the chat app works great!) /great cabin crew.........only downside i notice recently......landings pretty bumpy
AK is Malaysian Airasia only flies to DMK as of now however Thai Airasia (FD) flies to both DMK and BKK
@@weihongloke *I was quite confused though: since when AAsia flew into BKK? Now that explains. Only FD flies into BKK, AK into DMK. Thanks for the info*
Would love to see a review on malaysia and the food there!
I love Air Asia.. Well, their price range is nice. Not much service in economy class though.
But thanks for reviewing! Always wondered how economy class look from a frequent business class flyers.
Have you ever flown with Vietjet? I'm flying a domestic flight with them next month, Bangkok - Phuket.
A Garrets popcorn in the KLIA food court?? Wow. That’s a Chicago institution! Thanks for the content,
You should try thai airways is really good in the 777 cabin
All the best in New Year.
so happy to see dan love Malaysia !!!!
I LOVE YOU GUYSSS❤❤❤
I would like to welcome you back to Kuala Lumpur!!!! IM SUCH A BIG FAN and it would be a dream come true to meet you😢😢 UGHH I WISH I WAS AT THE AIRPORRTTTTT
Amsterdam Schipol has some good food options after baggage claim.
I would pay the additional ticket on the ERL from KL sentral just to go to KLIA2 for food, and then take the free shuttle back to KLIA for the flight
U can try Malaysia Airlines after Airasia 😊 they had 7 star rating and full service airline when u go to london the first food serving is Salted Peanuts and Orange Juice yumm
Is this Air Asia, or Thai Air Asia? Is there any difference? I will be flying a late evening flight with Thai Air Asia February1 from Penang to Don Muang. Any special things to be aware of? It will be our 10th airline and 13th flight since we left Oslo January 2. The last wil be with Norse, from BKK to Oslo Feb4
To see the obvious differences is from the menu on board and the flag on the aircraft nose. If the price in MYR , then its a AirAsia Malaysia. If its in Bhat, then its Thai Airasia. 😅😅
jewels is flashy, nice to check em out but not really affordable for most people.
Going to singapore? Ever tried the VIP express bus from KL?
Love Airasia, as easy as like taking a taxi or bus from city to city .... tickets are so easy to buy and so many flights available !
Guys dont miss out on Pak Nasser's Nasi lemak when u visit Air Asia.. Hands down the best i crave it since I dont fly often anymore.😅
I JUST FOUND THIS CHANNEL LOL I WAS LIKE HUH WHY IS DAN IN THERE... OH ITS HIS CHANNEL BUT VLOGS
😂 😂 😂
I find myself looking forward to seeing the food you're eating 😂❤😂❤
Welcome to KL!
The most delicious menu in Air Asia was in Malaysia flight called Pak Nasser NASI LEMAK😋😋🇲🇾
I love AirAsia for their great service and great food. Only downside is legroom and worn off interior of some planes, but you could always pay more for legroom and where you want to sit, some of cheaper airlines do not offer such option.
Nice... Air Asia is now in Suvarnabhumi!!!!
The food alone, seriously! Nom nom nom...
= Red
Since when does AirAsia fly from suvarnabhumi airport?
When did you film this becuase you said you have never had a bus gate before but you had bus gates in your Turkish Bussiness class and fly PGS
Welcome back to Malaysia
Cool
In my fictional world, AirAsia still the world's best low cost airline
What actions if any do you take to counteract your carbon footprint?
I fart all the time..And you?
@@americanbobtail1 maybe you should consult a doctor?
Which is the best low cost carrier if it is not AirAsia?
Flying with them in a few weeks. Good luck trying to get into contact with them. Oh, apparently they don’t serve alcohol onboard. If that’s the case, that’s pathetic.
You better get the five stars because this is my favorite
How much was fare
Oskar's side-eye re: bag weight....
Oh. I missed KLIA2 😢
I personally flown with AirAsia 4 times when i was just a kid and it's called Indonesia AirAsia, which is one of my favorite airline in Indonesia
try the 9 hour flight to sydney,,,lol
ig thai airasia still rocking as they should ❤ as malaysian myself idk but the og malaysia airasia has this reputation of being delayed ALL THE TIME since the pandemic is over and bunch of other issue which i am not gambling in 💀 totally not recommended esp for anyone who's on strict timing 😅 anyway love your videos and welcome to malaysia!
Air Asia is by far the best Budget airline. Better than many full service airlines. Always friendly, helpful staff who smile and seem happy with their job. You rarely get that on Jetstar in Australia and the European budget airlines especially Ryan Air are ghastly. The latter treats customers as poor losers ,maybe slightly better than vermin
Jetblue is also good but is it low cost?
10:50 did you do the @Kara&Nate trick booking aisle and window and hoping middle seat 💺 stayed empty? Looks like it worked!
KLIA2 is a shopping mall with an airport….
On their Australian routes, they keep changing the aircraft type at the last minute, and I’ve been booted from front to the back twice despite seat booking. Customer service to get seat fee refunds terrible. I will never fly them again. Used to like them.
fxxked up airasia called the sercurity guards when complained about my damaged bag. DON'T DO YOUR BUSINESS IN EUROPE, WE DON'T WANT CORRUPT COMPANY!!!
You guys are so cute ❤❤
AirAsia+KLIA2+Grab= the perfect low cost trip! What more could anyone want?
Josh cahill gave a thumbs up for air asia
Are you still in Kuala Lumpur? Enjoy your time here!
My parents say batik air is better cause it has no crash and that AirAsia has a crash before I told them just because an airline had one incident doesn’t mean it’s bad I told them that and AirAsia landings are sometimes perfect but batik air is THE NEXT RYANAIR
Batik Air or Malindo Air usually has checked in baggage included for super value fare. Air Asia has more frequencies and better connections but Batik Air flight attendants are more polite imo.
@@Millielai12 ye my luggage broke on that airline 😭
@jessoncho5190 So sorry to hear that. Baggage handlers fault. I do Hooe it was easier for you to claim damaged luggage compensation at the airport. Refund or claiming lost baggage for Air Asia is terrible.
@@Millielai12 sorry one luggage wheel
@@Millielai12 idk how but that one wheel was missing after leaving the airport
Their A320s are alright but recently I flew a 10-hour flight on their A330 and it was absolutely hell. The legroom was atrocious and everyone was so tightly packed. Although the food was good and it was on time, the seats were narrow and bare. I do not recommend flying Airasia long-haul economy.
fxxked up airasia called the sercurity guargs when complained about my damaged bag. DON'T DO YOUR BUSINESS IN EUROPE, WE DON'T WANT CORRUPT COMPANY!!!. VOTE AIRASIA OUT!!!
I just realise u hv another channel today! Love it!
As a Malaysian, I avoid Air Asia whenever possible as I hv had really bad experience with delays and cancellations. Ur vlog gives me confident that mayb I can give them a chance again 🙂
Everyone becoming birds... chip chip chip
Welcome back to Malaysia! Hope you have a pleasant stay in Kuala Lumpur!
do Vietjet and fly to Viet Nam
Bangkok could be your next home base, don't you think ?
Possibly - we both love Bangkok and Thailand in general so much🥹
airasia moved to BKK airport now???
I don't like the 7kg carry on. I'd be willing to pay more to carry on my bag and not check it
Malaysia Boleh !
I would fly Air Asia just for their chicken biryani
Beond Airline is Luxury New Saudia Arabia Airline is new
i bet u have not flown Myairline b4
Please, I urge everyone not to fly with this airline when traveling to Bali or anywhere in Asia. Prior to booking, carefully examine their reviews. On 05/09/2024, during my flight, I encountered issues with their agent attempting to charge me $200 for a bag that was 9KG overweight. After requesting to speak with a supervisor, the price suddenly dropped to $80. Upon arriving in Bali, I noticed significant damage to one of my bags, with personal items missing from the only bag secured with a TSA lock. During the inspection, they mishandled my belongings, resulting in a broken African tribal necklace. Despite contacting the airline for assistance, their response, received all the way from Australia, was dismissive, stating that wear and tear costs are not covered, holding me accountable for the damages. This experience has deeply disappointed me as it tainted my first trip to Bali.
Dan. Please tell Oscar to stop dying his beard.
Please don't book with this airline unless you want to be frustrated and run the risk of losing your money if they cancel your flights!!!
I fly Air Asia very regularly between Singapore and Bangkok (where they typically use the old Don Muang airport, which is a lot easier in terms of immigration). They offer exceptional value, are efficient and mostly punctual. I always go for the hot seats, more often than not, that also get’s you a free seat next to you.
Agree that Aeroflot (as would any Russian airline) is a safety risk - the sanctions are making it impossible for them to follow the manufacturers guidelines. Having said that, who would want to fly to Russia these days anyway???
hey do drop a text if you're still in Kuala Lumpur! we could head down for some drinks!
AirAsia? Not on my list 😆
Wait arent they both vegetarians? Why are they eating chicken? 💀
It's mock-chicken
We ars have a bad experienve in AIR ASIA service is not good .
More Oscar!
