Hi Cameron, Looking on your graph it was very steady in rowing power value and looks like to your finish part you have some power reserve to improve this PB in the nearest future. Wish you keep on that and don't stop in your achievement. I saw your distance coverage it was very impressive and confident. Good luck

Use the current lockdown to set a short term goal of lowering your 2k erg PB by 5 seconds. Cameron Buchan 6 days ago I wouldn't say there was really any doubt to my training goals. They haven't really changed for the short term like I said. Going to be exciting times moving forward!
You are correct, your creatine phosphate stores are used immediately but it isn't a given that it will be used over 5 strokes, 10 strokes, 15 etc so it is a fine balance! #yamsquad
Same way you can hike for hours on end. You have to "find the right gear". First couple of times it's about getting the time in and getting used to moving for that length of time, then steadily start speeding up the pace bit by bit every session. Although hiking has much nicer scenery, so as others might suggest, I recommend setting up in front of a screen and play your favourite show/movie, or at the very least listen to some music/a podcast.

Your “relatively easily” is a death sentence for me, just a heads up. Congrats again!
Not meant to be a flex, just letting the yamsquad see what I am doing! #yamsquad
Thanks for the shoutout and even more for the dedicated coaching! Yam on
Good job on the 2k!
Jake Lopez thank you!

No thanks for being such a good athlete Michael! #yamsquad
Sweet science = training and growth for the mind. These detailed breakdowns are awesome Cam. Your bravery is paying off.👍
Thank you!! As always, appreciate the support! #yamsquad

Great analysis and exciting to know where you can chip off a few more seconds. keep on yamming it.

Like I said, training goals haven't changed!
In the indoor rowing championships do you have a set resistance or do you choose your own
You can set your own resistance/drag. He rows with the standard 130 I think
@@jellebakker8193 thanks mate
@@leobakhache7125 No problem
The first few strokes use your phosphate system so doesn't really tax you for the rest of the piece.

You can 2k pb in your kitchen, whilst in isolation, on your own. That is a major sideswipe against the GB rowing programme.
I am just having fun and training away! #yamsquad
How do you keep up steady state for 20k+ especially by yourself? My longest in one go is 16k and it really took a mental toll on me.
Practice.
Yeah that’s the idea
TV or music

Hey Cameron! What videos do you watch while you're erging?
So many different videos! Can vary depending on my mood! #yamsquad
What would you say the best way is to get your 2k time down?
put in the meters
Jake Lopez fair enough
Get on the yam program. Shoot cam an email
also what drag factor is optimal - my coach says 125 to simulate water but all the pros go higher
New zealand national team male rowers use 130 while female rowers use 110, for reference to what you should use
I think there is more of a personal preference but 125 won't be far off #yamsquad
Hey Cam, how do you find these breakdowns?

hi cam I PBed yesterday by 6s at 6.33 - how much do you think I could drop for my next 2k in 2 months time?
Great work! I dont see why you can't get under 630! #yamsquad
What drag did you do it on?
133
