Capra Demon can definitely back-step out of an attack from my experience and pancake you. Artorias doesn't dodge attacks so much as roll as far away from you as possible and buff himself.
@@anthonywagner2898 I played DS3 first and I felt the same. I assume that if it was your first souls game and you were only used to how slow the combat is in ds then they would be difficult but after how fast DS3 is in comparison I found them pretty easy and beat them on my first try.

Gravelord Greatsword Dance was glitched out, which absolutely decided what happened in Round 2, but still, getting one round clean on your freaking boss, one of the ancient Lords, is far better than anyone could have imagined for this wheely boy. Congrats!

Once, my brother tried to fight pinwheel right after getting in the fire link shrine, just using the controlled falls and estus when necessary, reaching him and fight at low level with weak weapons. He said it was an interesting fight when you can't just kill him in five seconds.
Pinwheel can deal some pretty large damage honestly when he got one attack off on one of my characters, its just he has pathetic HP for the location he is in. If he appeared on the way to Quelagg, he'd probably be considered a bit more tough compared to what he is now (a boss most people only get to endgame).

I did a pinwheel first run, and that was actually kinda tricky. If you don't have weapons that can kill the illusions in one hit, they can add up pretty quick. Combine that with pinwheels long dodge animation, and you end up spending a decent amount of time dodging fireballs. Def glad I did it. Got to see how the boys fight is intended to work, and it can be pretty good fun. The bonewheels are the real boss.
Try fighting him first thing out of Firelink. His fight becomes a dps race like 4 Kings this way. Either you kill him fast or he summons a stupid amount of clones and you get ganked.
@@loftwingheropon2743 Also there's this Italian streamer called Cydonia that's doing a blindrun on DS1 with a veteran player "watching" him. He went through the catacombs and Tomb of Giants before the Depths and without knowing the shortcut. So it's possible, you just need extreme patience.
Reminder that pinwheel has less that a THIRD of Nito's total health. Pinwheel is a boss that's actually difficult if you can't just dps him down and skip all his attacks. He's a total glass canon with some legitimate tricks and can be quite tough if you dont have the damage to deal with him
If Pinwheel loses, I want to see him go up against a Channeler. And if he wins... he should still go up against a Channeler, honestly. The latter could just get some back-up from Duke's Archives to even the odds.
Imagine if Pinwheel can also beat Havel. Wouldn't surprise me now that I have seen Crystal Sage is one of a handful of bosses who can do that in DS3. More seriously, though, I wonder what other bosses he can actually defeat. No way Nito is the only one, right?
Leeroy is similar to Havel and utterly wrecks Pinwheel, and Pinwheel's arena isn't large enough to cause that AI hiccup of slowly walking with the shield down that let the Crystal Sage beat Havel in Pantagana's video from today. That said, I'd be interested in seeing a Pinwheel version of the Gwyndolin Show.
An unexpected result, though it was pretty damn close across all three rounds. Pinwheel's clones and Nito's extremely slow attacks cost the Lord of the Death Soul his throne, but it is rather fitting, as Pinwheel's lore is that he/she/they stole a good portion of Nito's power. Most entertaining, 'twas fun to see the laughingstock of DS1 get a chance to shine.

I would actually rank Pinwheel above at least Asylum and Taurus in terms of difficulty. Maybe others as well. The problem is that if you don’t have enough damage output, which is almost never a problem, then he has time to duplicate. Once you’ve got seven or eight of them and you don’t know which one is firing death balls at you, it gets pretty dangerous. When I did soul level one, I tried to go straight to pinwheel from firelink to get right of kindling, and I realized that one of the big reasons that Pinwheel is such a joke is that most people fight him after O&S with a plus ten weapon.

I usually clear the Catacombs after beating the Moonlight Butterfly and getting the Divine Ember; slap it on a disposable side weapon and fight to Pin, then kill them. Then again, I've been playing the games since 2012, so my own personal experiences and knowledge with the series provides an advantage in that regard.
Man, Pinwheel is so bad that he needs to fight a dead cripple in order to win, and still almost died every round. I demand a rematch in Nito's arena. I refuse to believe bone daddy lost to casulwheel
Yeah, it's undeniable that Gravelord Greatsword Dance was the deciding factor in Round 2. Still, Pinwheel won fair and square in Round 3, and it's Nito's fault he didn't try (or rarely tried) his double swipe attack.
Pinwheel's damage output isn't even bad or anything. It's just his HP is low to compensate for his ability to summon clones (and how you're supposed to be able to fight him early.) AI being AI though can't tell real ones from fake.
@@perrytran9504 Pinwheel often has huge gaps between his attack output, even with several copies of himself, and the Catacombs can still be challenging for players who have completed Anor Londo first. The Pinwheel fight is mysterious in that regard.
I think if the battle takes place in Nito's arena, Nito will lose easily because the Pinwheels will spread far from Nito. The advantage for Nito in this arena is that it has a tiny space. He is just too slow to beat the Pinwheel.
@@Y-all-mofos-need-Talos If Pinwheel fights in Nito's arena, the Pinwheel copies might be unable to attack Nito thanks to the large stone dividing the room into two pathways. The stalagmites could block more attacks than the books in Pinwheel's arena would too, and Nito's Gravelord Greatsword Dance would work as well. Additionally, Bonfire might have to manually create spots for the Pinwheel copies to appear in, let alone places for Pinwheel to teleport to, so deciding on places that aren't too advantageous or disadvantageous may take some time and a good deal of effort.
Pinwheel almost killed me on my first run, I did not know about the clone skill, and I never used sumonings as I did not know that you need to be in human form to be able to summon. O&S was hell for me, spent one day to beat them.

I can't believe how hard I was cheering for Pinwheel, was about to lose my mind if he lost.
You know, I once allowed Pinwheel to create countless phantoms and nearly died.
After five or six phantoms spawn its just a constant barrage of fireballs.
This goes to show that pinwheel was a good boss in theory, he just wasnt programmed to properly deal with a human which is hyperaggressive by default
Hyper aggressive, fast, and programmed to remember which one is the real boss.
And most importantly it is programmed to be beatable at the beginning of the game

@@jacobanderson8219 well...yeah that’s a good point. Using NG+7 isn’t the best argument. Let me use some of my challenge runs instead. I would actually rank Pinwheel above at least Asylum and Taurus in terms of difficulty. Maybe others as well. The problem is that if you don’t have enough damage output, which is almost never a problem, then he has time to duplicate. Once you’ve got seven or eight of them and you don’t know which one is firing death balls at you, it gets pretty dangerous. When I did soul level one, I tried to go straight to pinwheel from firelink to get right of kindling, and I realized that one of the big reasons that Pinwheel is such a joke is that most people fight him after O&S with a plus ten weapon.
@@tehaaronjelly5473 It mainly comes down to player skill and the situation one puts themselves in. I usually clear the Catacombs after beating the Moonlight Butterfly and getting the Divine Ember; slap it on a disposable side weapon and fight to Pin, then kill them. Then again, I've been playing the games since 2012, so my own personal experiences and knowledge with the series provides an advantage in that regard.

Yeah, it's undeniable that Gravelord Greatsword Dance was the deciding factor in Round 2. Still, Pinwheel won fair and square in Round 3, and it's Nito's fault he didn't try (or rarely tried) his double swipe attack.
Pinwheel's damage output isn't even bad or anything. It's just his HP is low to compensate for his ability to summon clones (and how you're supposed to be able to fight him early.) AI being AI though can't tell real ones from fake.
@@perrytran9504 Pinwheel often has huge gaps between his attack output, even with several copies of himself, and the Catacombs can still be challenging for players who have completed Anor Londo first. The Pinwheel fight is mysterious in that regard.
I think if the battle takes place in Nito's arena, Nito will lose easily because the Pinwheels will spread far from Nito. The advantage for Nito in this arena is that it has a tiny space. He is just too slow to beat the Pinwheel.
@@Y-all-mofos-need-Talos If Pinwheel fights in Nito's arena, the Pinwheel copies might be unable to attack Nito thanks to the large stone dividing the room into two pathways. The stalagmites could block more attacks than the books in Pinwheel's arena would too, and Nito's Gravelord Greatsword Dance would work as well. Additionally, Bonfire might have to manually create spots for the Pinwheel copies to appear in, let alone places for Pinwheel to teleport to, so deciding on places that aren't too advantageous or disadvantageous may take some time and a good deal of effort.
Everyone underestimates Pinwheel, but if you get overwhelmed he can be deadly

Pinwheel almost killed me on my first run, I did not know about the clone skill, and I never used sumonings as I did not know that you need to be in human form to be able to summon. O&S was hell for me, spent one day to beat them.
