My 24 year old baby brother , my only sibling . Was killed I believe by a drunk driver (I feel ) . October 16 2021 . He was a lineman and was out of town working 2 hrs away . On a Saturday night on his day off he walked from his hotel to a restaurant to eat and on his way back to his hotel he died . He was walking over the over pass and somehow ended up on the interstate 20 ft below . Investigators didn’t want to investigate so says the coroner . Anyway the following morning I had to tell our mother that her only son was dead and a butterfly came and sat on my arm all day that day . My mom was amazed and took pictures of it on my wrist . FOR ANYONE TRYING TO CONNECT w/a loved one…..I never leave comments however I felt a need to let someone know this. Matt is 1000% right, My late husband sends messages through songs. SET YOUR INTENTION to connect with them, write it down, speak it out loud or even your head then turn on your Alexa if you have one (if not I would 100% recommend getting one, even if just for communicating with them) and just wait….it may take a little bit, a couple minutes, days but not long and You WILL get signs, the Alexa will turn off & on with meaningful songs or even songs you’ve never heard or don’t like….it’s about the message they are trying to give you!!! I promise I’m not crazy….yet😂😂😂 Truly hope this helps someone out there who’s grieving 🙏🙏🙏

I am so sorry for your loss. It’s tough when it’s a pet. Mine come and visit, when I’m just drifting off to sleep, I’ll feel her jump on the bed, make a few circles and snuggle in behind my legs. That’s where she always slept. When I reach - nothing there....
MalkaZ- here’s a story that I wrote down from God knows where, it touched my heart:
“Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog’s owners, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a miracle.
I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer. I told the family we couldn’t do anything for Belker and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home.”
As they made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told the vet that they thought it would be good for six-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience.
The next day, the vet felt the familiar catch in his throat as Belker‘s family surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that the vet wondered if he understood what was going on. Within a few minutes, Belker slipped peacefully away. The little boy seemed to accept Belker’s transition without any difficulty or confusion. They all sat together for a while after Belker’s Death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that dogs’ lives are shorter than human lives. Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, “I know why.”
Startled, they all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned the vet. He had never heard a more comforting explanation. He says that it changed the way he will try and live.
“People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life - like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay for as long as we do.”

Hi Matt. I was raised Mormon and the religion turned me off from any beliefs of heaven, afterlife, and God. You restored those beliefs for me and I can confidently tell my children there is a heaven and we will always be together. Thank you for helping me believe again. 🙏
I was raised Mormon too... my beliefs have been strengthened by Matt as well. Everything he talks about is consistent with how I was raised and what my parents taught me. Welcome back to being a "believer" again. There is so much comfort knowing we are being watched over and knowing our spirits go on to so many wonderful things.

What about those that have been reincarnated? Or do you believe in reincarnation? As Mormon we are taught not to believe in reincarnation. But, I struggle with this do to the fact that I know I have been on this earth atleast 2 times before this life. What are your thoughts. I struggle deeply with areas of the church I was raised in.

Matt, you are such a blessing and so right on! My father used to pick up pennies and say; "In God we trust" and put them in his pocket. Since his passing I seem to find pennies at the critical times in my life such as my graduation from college last year. Because of Covid we had to drive up to the podium and pick up our diplomas... as I got out of the car, there right on the ground was a shiney penny. I knew my father was there at my graduation for sure! My picture was chosen out of all the graduates to go on the presidents page I believe because after finding that penny and knowing my biggest cheer leader in life was there to rejoice in my hard fought for accomplishment, my face radiated the joy I felt! which was captured in the picture the president of my univeristy chose to commemorate our graduation day. It is a moment I will never forget!

When I was 14, the father of the person who passed away in the car accident passed away. I went back to school on the Monday and I swear I saw Leandro at the foot of my bed. I called his name 3 times and in the morning, I asked the girls in the dorm if they heard me calling him, and they all said no. But now that I think about it, I saw him in the morning and it was night. So I am positive that I dreamed about him. But that was the most real dream I have ever had.

The Day of the Dead (El Dia de Los Muertos) began in Mexico/South America. November 1-2 is a time for people still in body to remember and connect with loved ones who have passed. Their spirits are represented with skeletons and skulls. Altars (ofrendas) are built to place photos, remembered items with the loved one, and gifts. The tradition also has people spending the night at their grave sites. I like the idea and practice of having a time with loved ones in both the sacred and with humor.

I find when your in that state - just drifting off, start thinking of the lived one who’s past and drift off. That’s when it happens.
Anyone can talk to their departed loved ones. Just ask them a question in your head and don't even think about it. Just wait and listen.
I asked my girlfriend what happens in the afterlife, then sat and waited for a response. About 30 seconds later I heard in her voice, "I don't know, I just got here!".
I was expecting a more elaborate response or her to say "you'll be ok" or something like that. But what I got was way more like something she would say. Totally unexpected and cute
It also reminded me of how she used to mess with me. I bet the farm she knows exactly what happens, but wants to keep me guessing. Little stinker
Yes Matt is right. I also was contacted by a deceased relative the very night he died. (Great grandpa) I hadn’t seen, spoken to, or heard from him in 25 years because we live in different states & my parents divorced when I was very young & I moved away. I was close to him as a small child.
I was also contacted through very vivid dreams by a young man in a military uniform. Every night for a week, he kept showing up and holding a blinking yellow neon sign that read “1968” I wasn’t even born back then.
Through searching family records and obituaries, I found him. My great uncle Mark served in the USMC & died on Quang Nam, Vietnam in September of 1968.

I am a huge believer! I talk about it to family and friends all of the time. I know they think I am crazy, but I know differently. You mentioned orbs. About 5 years ago my kids had a professional family portrait of them with their children. My youngest daughter was told by the photographer that she tried to remove the green circle behind Jillian(my granddaughter). I was so excited to see this. I believe it was my mom or dad.

Regarding the veil or the relationship between this world and the next - we can use the analog of the womb.
When Alexa was pregnant, we all knew that you were soon to be blessed with a child, but Roy as we now know him didn't really have a clue what he was coming too, he most likely felt that his world was the world, it was all he knew. Perhaps as he grew he occasionally heard sounds here and thought maybe just maybe something is there. We are in the womb of the next world. It is that close to us - but we cant see it. However those in the next world can see us as you say.

My son in-law sent me a video a couple nights ago where it looked like his ring camera captured a spirit walking thru his back yard. His alarm on his phone went off at 4:24am alerting him that someone was in his backyard, so he got up to look and there was nothing there, then looked at the camera. It blew me away. Other's said it was probably the sprinkler. The sprinklers and the camera's run all the time and he has never had the alarm go off saying it was a person in his yard before. Happened the one time.

My good friend died on my birthday last year right before Christmas. When I came home after my birthday dinner I noticed the lights on our house were dim. The electricity on my street was only at about half power. It's the only time it has happened. There was only enough power to light the lights half brightness. No power for tv or radio. I checked my phone and found out my friend had died earlier.

Halloween really is my time to speak to my loved one. Oct 31st is my grandmother’s birthday. Even though I speak to her often, that is the day I ask her for help. I always wish her a Happy Birthday and ask her to help me and she always comes through with the help. I have been researching my genealogy for a few years and I have asked my grandmother for help in finding our ancestors. Each time I’ve asked her for help she has guided me down the right path. They show up on my camera / in pictures clearly! Floating next to my bed ,even seeing my dog on my bed floating through my window. However none of this has occurred during the month of November. I was home alone, couldn’t find my book marker, prayed about it, (had already made my bed) left my room. 5 minutes later walked back to my room to continue looking for my book marker and there it sat on the edge of my bed. I’ve believed in the spirit since a small child.

You are very humorous today...! It is hard to get rid of negative people but once you do it its like cleaning a dirty bathroom you just feel that much better after cleaning it up, and it gets easier once you meet a new negative person you will cut it off faster.

I needed to see this today. My mom just past in November 2022. We didn’t have a good relationship, sadly. I was mad at her even after she past away, spent my energy on being mad day in and day out, yelling at her. I felt depleted then realized I needed to let it all go. 3 days later, I felt better and my energy/stamina came rolling it.

Omg my daughter died of an overdose in January and I cannot get over it!!! I miss her so much!!! She was my best friend!!! I feel like I have a physical knife in my heart that I will never get out!!! I would do anything to connect with her!!! As time goes on it doesn’t get better!!! I just miss her more!!!
