Oh my! What a fantastic creative app for live performance with recording options for solo artists and whoever and whatever. Well done to the creator and your presentation. Thank you.
Dude. I fell over when you started whispering as to not trigger record XD You have the BEST walkthroughs/tutorials!!! Thank you so much!! Watched this one…then played with Loopy….then watched again….then played some more. Rinse. Repeat. 😄
I’ve been using the beta for the past month and Loopy Pro has changed my iOS music making game. I love AUM, but trying to setup a verse/chorus/bridge setup using just AUM has been so difficult. I’ve been able to sit down and in a couple hours have 30+ loops recorded, a mix of AUV3s and live recorded instruments, have setup transitions between song sections and even flipping back and forth between songs at the press of a button. It unlocks potential that was either impossible or needed major, time consuming workarounds. And the whole time I kept finding myself saying, “This is so easy!” It’s already incredible and I can’t wait to see how it continues to grow.
You might remember me. The old man who does not play the piano and did not know where to start. Now I know it. Exactly with this app. From all the apps I have this one is a good start. In a further step I may integrate it in Cubasis. Thanks a lot!
me: I dont want another DAW on my Ipad, I just want to know if that Looper is nice and intuitively to use. 10 minutes later: Damned it is nicer and more intuitive than all my other Loopers including Enso… 30 Minutes later (Doug showing how to customize GUI and buttons for everything): Damned! This is the Looping DAW integration I dreamed of, all in one App and supernicely done! Well, I didnt want to spend 30 Bucks on a Looper, but now I think 30 bucks for a Super-Live Looping Machine integrating every AUV3 AND full blowing, growing DAW for 30 bucks is really a no no brainer! (bought)
Same here. I was really reluctant to buy Loopy Pro. The original Loopy was my first exposure to live-looping on iOS, and it was great. I just found it tough to justify buying "another" looper now - especially since so many great looping apps have been released since the original Loopy. But I took the leap, and it's clear that Michael Tyson and the other Loopy developers have really put a LOT of thought into the new Pro version. It is SO open-ended, as far setting it up for any user's particular workflow or skill level. I was/am a huge fan of the MIDI Designer app - and Loopy Pro's similarly excellent widgets and pages brought a smile to my face. It didn't take long for the UI and use of colors/groups to become intuitive. There's a ton of "stuff" - but everything's exactly where you'd expect it to be. Really impressive.
Great app and great tutorial. You can do whatever you want, no limits. I always wondered why developers put limits. This app is special because it does not limit creativity. Once you get the hang of it, you realize the only limitation is your own creativity.
@@afoxdesign you have to turn off echo cancellation probably. it has to do with ios measurement mode (which is used with the echo cancellation feature). I've been using loopy with airpods and it works.

does this effectively replace AUM and Audiobus? Currently Im rocking Audiobus3, AUM, Loopy HD. I feel like this should replace essentially all of that, with MIDI/USB routing left to AUM? Not switching between apps, would be HUGE. Im already loving what the app has to offer, will definitely be testing this tonight.
Using an Audio Interface, so the usb goes from the interface into the iPad, then anything you plug into the interface you can rout to various audio channels and midi channels. Most Class Compliant interfaces work perfectly with the iPad or iPhone, things like the Arturia AudioFuse or their Minfuse range, the Steinberg UR Series, Focusrite, iConnect etc, there are loads of them. Personally I use 2, either the Arturia AudioFuse or the Steinberg UR 816 C, my wife uses a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 or an Arturia MiniFuse 2.

Hi and thank you for demo. It would have been nice to have heard at least one sample of a finished project or song? I also understand that the learning curve can be steeper if needed, yet was maybe only confusing this first time. Wanting to show everything off in a short time was making for too many mistakes, yet no worries, it´s as new for you as it is for many. Reminded me of the app called "Figure" less complicated and probably more fun for a beginner. Yet you can also go deeper with that one too. It has loops you can add and sounds, effects and instruments to be played one bar at a time. Yet a much lower learning curve. I wonder how you had so many effects and sounds, when you say it´s a demo version still? I only got 3-4 effects and no sounds. Can one link it to your PC or a memory card?
I hope the release will include some useful templates. E.g. I will want to replicate Ampify’s Launchpad functionality in Loopy Pro, which of course will make it a hundred times more powerful and useful.
Hey bro! Any tips or suggestions on being able to record external gear and mic into loopy and be able to get direct recording going with my iPhone for video/live-streaming? I have the roland go mixer pro x but having an assortment of issues like loop back recording. Thanks!
Hi, yeah, to get around the loop back I use two audio interfaces for live streaming. First, the iPad goes into my AudioFuse, or if I’m just using hardware that goes into the AudioFuse. Then the output from the AudioFuse goes into a Steinberg UR22 interface and that goes into the iPhone 8+, that controls the stream.
@@TheSoundTestRoom thanks so much for the response this is what I was imagining I’d need to explore. When you say your iPad goes into, what type of connection are you using? USB or 3.5mm? ok, so the usb from the AudioFuse goes into the iPad, so anything from the iPad or any mics or hardware’s that is connected to the AudioFuse is then output through the AudioFuse outputs, the audio outputs from the AudioFuse then go into the Steinberg interface via 2 normal 1/4 jacks, one for left and right. Then the USB output from the Steinberg goes directly into the phone. I also have phone hooked up via Ethernet to stop internet dropout. Idk what I’m doing wrong but all my auv3s I can record and loop but if I try to record my songs me shot clips I can press them and they play but don’t record
why don't i see the little waveform (5:21) left top from the Loop (after my recordings) ? is this a feature not supported in the TryOut version ? I was hoping to set startpoint and tempo after recording multiple loops (with different tempo's and bar/beats) but that seems kinda/very tricky, if not impossible ; if recording after a previous loop, to stretch the new sample to the first (loop) tempo, is very difficult (or impossible?) - something Ableton Live will do seamlessly (import / record your loops/samples in regard to the song/project/main tempo)
