Toto just proved he was human Cameron, with genuine excitement that they were going to finally get a win! And he called his own self out after and George poked fun at it as well in the post-Race interview. I cannot go scorched earth on him for that, showing genuine relief that they are off the schneid!

I'm glad you covered it but I think you've undersold Checo's phenomenal display of inadequacy. Max made contact with Lando. Received a puncture for his efforts, drove the car around the circuit with a puncture. He then boxed and had the tire replaced and he still beat Checo, who was at the time struggling to pass HULKENBERG, by 17 seconds. No huge surprise, Checo never did get past Hulk. All this in equal machinery to the one and only, Max Verstappen. Wow.
The only defense Perez has was a bit of side pod damage.... but that does not explain a gap bigger than 60 seconds!

If the idiot stewards gave Lando his 5 second penalty in a timely way, both might have finished this race with Max letting Lando pass and Lando driving his ass off to make up that 5 minutes and Max driving his ass off to ensure he was within 5 minutes of Lando. Stewards screw the pooch again.

Lando made dumb moves. RB screwed Max and put him in that spot with the shitty pit stop and waiting to bring him in as Max knew his tyres were trash with an 8 second gap.That whole outfit needs to get their shit together instead of Max having to shoulder the load.

It’s crazy how the media are catastrophizing two guys racing and love tapping each other. When did F1 get so woke on the track!!! Had no damage occurred and the two raced for the win that very same incident would have barely been looked at. All this talk of Max moving to the left blah blah, firstly he has to move left to make the apex, he also needs to defend his line, and Lando is on the outside. A portion of blame has to be placed on the guy who sticks his car in a place that will end in disaster.
Now this is apparently Max 1.0 according to the media, which is just ludicrous to me. I’m a Lewis fan and I’ve watched Max evolve into a different breed of racer since becoming WC. But history shows no matter how good of a wheel to wheel racer you are, when the same two guys are fighting for wins, or championships they’re like 2 magnets. Coming together is an inevitability.
Cam you must see lap 61 to 64. Granted Lewis would have waited to lap 65, but bestapen was moving under breaking and Landon did not do track limit.

Rarely, I don't agree with Peter Windsor, we have the rules like it or not, so if we consider the actions of Max which appears to be "stay in front by any means", we now have a GTA Style Cops and robbers chase. If thats what we want then the F1 drivers and teams must get the rules changed and have a rally cross style F1. Telemetry about when Max is braking is not relevant, he is in the braking Zone and has a responsibility to the cars around him he just cannot act with impunity. He cannot just put his car anywhere any time and expect all others to avoid collision thats not racing thats a game of chicken

There's a moment he looks to the apex and that's when Lando gets beside and they make contact, you can clearly see him try and move right once he realized Lando was there , there's no way you're claiming it's intentionally done

Nope not claiming it’s intentional. Only stating that on the final run up to t3, prior to him looking at the apex, he was checking both mirrors enough to know where Lando is. Saying he didn’t see him because he was looking at the apex before turning in is disregarding the seconds leading up to that frame. That’s all.

I don’t think so. He broke mentally before he was even winning races. Let alone battling for wins and championships. His driving and reaction alone proves he will break again. This was nothing compared to a 2021 season. He will be sitting in a corner crying in that state. Lando needs to man up and race. He was getting Max this race anyway by being patient and smart. Not by getting a 5sec penalty. He already f’ed up and had a meltdown before that crash even happened.
