I write you this after observing so many times. If you are matured, you must have known that people love yo see thier spouces to be respected especially this kind of scholars. I undertand you went there to spend time with the doctor but at the same time, it would have been nice if you show respect for his wife especially given her success.

Exceptional doctors in Ethiopia lives such kind of life unfortunately majority doctors life in Addis is very ordinary even sometimes lower than normal peoples life. What I want to express is even if they specialize there income is not satisfactory.

My fear, People thinking that this is how every doctor in ethiopia lives. Altough his achivements are remarkable, he is an outlier and does not represent a doctor thought in Ethiopia. Watch with caution.

I know him and his family, if he choose to stay in the state, he would live better than he does right know. The lesson is to those doctors abroad, they can choose to come to Ethiopia and give back, they can make their family life somewhat similar to where they come from. But when they go out and help, they can creat an army for our county. It’s people like him who can reach our Dr at home to become officiate and creat a better culture for them. He teach, he practice and he is setting the standard higher. So try to stay positive and contribute your part.
@terumosebex I guess you didn't listen to the entire interview he said he still works in the US. I don't think medical professionals living abroad can afford this kind of luxury life by just working in Ethiopia. I really appreciate what he is doing for his country and I am happy for their success. However this can't represent the average living standard for doctors moving back to Ethiopia.
