    I'm one of those who love the Info heavy videos concerning Olfactive notes. At 1 point, I literally spent 4-5 hours per day reading & taking notes on them. It's one of the reasons I'm thankful for your channel. You took the time to invest, and I appreciate that.

    I remember trying Frederic Malle “The Night” and “The Moon” for the first time, those were my first oud frags that I ever expirienced. The Night smelled like a barn and specificlly, horse barn at first and I was like “who would wear this” but in the drydown was magical. Fun fact: The Night has the highest concentration of natural oud of any fragrance and OH BOY it costs (in my country 1340€ that would be 1437$ for 100ml). It has notes of Oud, rose and Amber and that’s it. The Moon is more “wearable” and also magical, in the opening and in the drydown.

    Everything i learned about oud by watching tons of videos, you did perfectly sum up in 5 and a half minutes. When i say perfectly i mean, you let us know everything important about the theme, and not a single word or a sentence was redundant. You never stop suprising me, video by video, quality is getting higher and higher. You continue to improve in all aspects. Also you make it somehow more interesting every time. That's why you are my favorite fragrance reviewer. I would gladly watch or listen to you talking about anything else. Im really tired watching same type of videos over and over from some other reviewers. So i stopped following them. I appreciate every effort or detail you put into your video. Stay unique, much ❤ Justin.

    Brother!
    Oud tonic sounds stupidddd interesting. Might check that out.
    But you’re right on about Sahraa, it’s stunning, it’s smooth, it’s well blended, it’s really captivating. It doesn’t feel like you’re wearing a note dominant fragrance. It feels like you’re wearing a beautiful composition that has all the ingredients play amongst each other. I picked up a decant because it’s more of an occasion fragrance, I don’t see myself wearing a full bottle, cause life ain’t on that level 😂. Butttt having a decant for when I need a lil shumin shumin, then I got it haha. All the best brother!

    Oud is a tough one for me. I'm working my way up to it. I originally thought it smelled like feces. Literally. A second time weeks later smelling the same scent at a different place i detected a distinct wood not so Ive wondered if the first was a bad bottle. Regardless, i have an open mind but I can't say I enjoy the scent. Granted I'm not big on woody fragrances either. Side note: I'm not sure i really associate any scent with wealth, or other status for that matter. But that's just me.

For the art inherent in it essentially, while supporting/admonishing those bent on misusing fragrance to indicate some tragic idea of status.

    Thank you for this wonderful video. I'm quite adverse to oud frags because it has a bit of a religious connotation for me, being someone who has grown up in Southeast Asia. But halfway through watching your video I decided to rummage through my samples to sniff out Oud frags. And I was able to discern the nuances you mentioned. I'd say the friendliest Oud frags I sampled (from a feminine standpoint) were Creed Royal Princess Oud and Goldfield & Banks' Wood Infusion. I also sniffed Oud for Happiness by Initio and it nearly knocked me out cold 😂

Very informative video and I am a fan and lover of Oud and I have an Attar collection of about 14 Attars in total. From Cambodian to Indian Oud and I enjoy every facet of the oud smell. I must say it is an acquired taste as some of it can be animalic and a bit fecal as well as a barn yard type of smell. But I have a variation in my collection from the sweet rose to the animalic type and I enjoy them all, but it depends on the occasion as to which I feel like wearing. And some of the Oud is edible as well but super expensive. Very good for health benefits and not just smelling good only...

    TF Oud Wood has no real oud in it. Food for thought the next time you're thinking of spending stupid money on a bottle.
    Jazeel Ghala on the other hand has two different types of real oud, two different types of real rose & other naturals. -and is no more expensive or even _less_ expensive than Oud Wood for a more sublime frag.
    Spend wisely.

    • @mistermister8998

      @mistermister8998 doesn't last though.
      No hate on TF! I love Oud Minerale. -but the quality of TF doesn't match the performance, and the hype isn't worth the cash.
      It sucks when you spend so much and have to bring a decant to re-apply when you go out. Jazeel Ghala is an everlasting *beast* with all naturals.
