- In this Video, I go through the step by step process of descaling and cleaning the Ultima Cosa Espresso Machine. It is a very simple process and all you need is a cup of white vinegar.
@ultimacosa
Thanx bro real helpfull
I love this machine, so much better than higher end brands and for less than half the price.
Thank you!!! I have been trying to descale for weeks. 😂
Great help, thanks !!
Thanks for the heads up Couldn't have done it without you
I'm glad it was informative.
Great thanks you really clear explanation
My espresso range pressure not working and no water coming out of the headgroup
Ours is stuck in the clean/descale mode , we tried following the steps and after putting water and vinegar in the back the right side doesn’t light up and no water coming out . Any tips on how to fix this ?
Turn the machine off, and wait about 5 seconds, then turn it on. Wait for it to go into ready mode (when all the lights come on) . Then press all three buttons on the right side to put machine back in cleaning mode. Once you see steam light flashing, use the knob on the right to put into steam mode...let it run its course , once water stopps flowing, then turn the knob to the hot water mode. Then wait for the machine finish its cycle. that should reset the clean/descale light, and then you need to wait about 30 seconds or so for it to go back into normal mode.
Hope this was helpful.
Just curious i do not have this unit does the manf recommend vinegar as the descaler?
Yes, Vinegar is one of the best organic solutions out there for descaling.
It is but it also eats away at the plastic let alone having to get the smell away after using it. Most of the units we get for home use having internal plastic parts...just something to think about. Vinegar was used in commercial setting but most of those machines were made with metal anyways if you have used vinegar for a long period of time and your booklet recommends it great. I should add I guess most manufacturers don't expect folks to keep machines for long periods of time you don't see vinegar being recommended by most manufacturers today.
@@adriand6477 I definitely see your point from the vinegar prospective, as you said, these machines are for home use and we are not putting that much vinegar through the machine to actually cause any long term damage. Also if this lasts anywhere north of 3 years, we are in good hands.
@@diydadhub That's fair have a great day and thank you for your time.
