I feel like a kid in a candy store watching your videos, Shae, whilst your stunning home is your dream come to life, it’s a dream home to view also for us. I love your honesty - for example a few pieces are being moved for now due to Margo being so little right now, it sets you apart from others here. Me being honest now, my autistic Son walked past the TV stopped, watched for a bit and said “wow beautiful” I thought he meant your home till he said “that lady is beautiful, Mum she is beautiful on her insides”. He tends to sense sweet souls. ☺️ I hope Studio McGee goes international in the future as I’d 💯 purchase your home decor items. Anyhoo, a rant yet thank you for sharing your processes, teachings and awe inspiring home with us all. Take good care, Guys. ☮️💜
I don't think I will pay a monthly fee for your channel. There is a lot of free decorators with sponsors. Not everybody is able to pay extra. However, your home is beautiful.

"I think just give yourself permission to know that you can live in a space and your home can evolve with you, that you can dream up new ideas" - words of wisdom from Shea, thank you for this 🌼💖
I really don't know how you manage to put objects and details everywhere, and instead of that, the place doesn't feel overloaded. On the contrary, it looks so relaxed! You are the one, absolutely
Wow! When I watched the vid of you discussing how you wanted to make the living room and staircase and all that vastness less, well, vast and warmer I thought how on earth is she going to do that?! But oh my gosh you did it and it looks beautiful! So warm and cozy which is just amazing when you consider the height of your livingroom. Thank you for explaining how and why each and every design decision was made. I loved the tour but I also really learned so much and picked up some great ideas as well. Well done! It's gorgeous.
I didn't think your home could be anymore beautiful, Shea - evidently, I was wrong! Oh how I wish you could've shared your remodel three months ago. We're building a new home and have a similar great room and staircase layout - we're too far into the build now 😢but I would have totally done the curved opening in our space - absolutely love the impact and character this added to the overall space. Can't wait to see the rest of the remodel!
I love your Byron chairs. The color is Perfect!! Nice brass floor lamp! Brick and plastered walls, nice touch. Treasured memories, so special! Enclosed shelving, couldn't be styled better! Rolled arms on sofas, my favorite. Great lumbar pillows! Fluted table 👌 Everything is beautiful Shea, and great jacket!!! ❤
All of the changes are so lovely!! My favorite though, is your wardrobe!! We're so accustomed to seeing you in florals and puff sleeves. This sophisticated jacket and trousers with heels is absolutely chef's kiss and pairs well with your more elevated home. Truly a win win!!
Everything looks so beautiful and it makes so much sense. Especially the separation in spaces and the high ceilings. I have high ceilings and it does always feel so vast and boring. You’ve given me some amazing ideas. Thank you for talking to us with such detail. I learn so much from your thorough conversations. By the way, still so in love with your book.
I really love the changes you made. I liked how it was before, but those changes really enhanced the room. I think my only issue is that the amount of furniture in the living room seems a bit much on the edge of cluttered. Great color palate! Thank you for NOT having a TV in that area too. It means you can all focus on one another or read a good book (alone or to your family)! I really like that shelf unit next to the fireplace. I enjoy what you have curated inside of it too. I love how you "steal" things from other areas and mix it up in an area where it hadn't been. Smart.
I appreciate that you explain in detail your thoughts and ideas. I read some comments about how bland and boring it is. Well, everybody has his/her priorities. My view is surely influenced by being a European (writing from Germany). I find it elegant and smart and obviously you can survive with a toddler in there. Well done 🎉🎉🎉
So beautiful both then and now! It's fun to see your taste change a bit over time. Thanks for all the design inspiration!! I live in a small townhouse, but still enjoy getting ideas from your bigger-budget world. :)
The swoops added a new dimension....The stairway walls now need artwork/tapestry etc to tie into the warmth of the living area and soften it a bit. Enjoy your home. You deserve it ❤️
Thank you for allowing us to see the result AND talk us through the design process. I’ve never seen any other interior design company connect with their audience this way and share so much (for free!!!!) online before. I just want to know where you have the time with three kiddos too!! 😅❤
Loving the new furnishings and the new details on ceiling and upstairs wall. I would have felt the same as you, Shea, when looking at the staircase walls on second floor. You found a great and unique solution, and it ties in nicely with all the new curves everywhere.
Love the refresh. Honestly, for people who love design, our homes are always evolving. (Otherwise we would all still have Tuscan Kitchens! 😂) I really liked the idea of adding “swoops” upstairs to create depth and division. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your changes. ❤
Beautiful job... Love the colors too And the warmth of those 2 little chairs with the table in the middle. And I like your Ottomans two with the black wiring on the bottom.. Definitely adds more interest then the previous ones great job!!!
The changes to the house itself are a big improvement to make the high ceilings and vastness of space feel more cozy. I might have tried an even darker paint on the ceiling. I love your drapery rod height, it’s not so high that it looks ridiculous, it relates to the windows well. I am a bit miffed that the tv is so high, I would have planned that wall to have a tv at a lower height beside the fireplace for less neck strain. I would have tried no skirting and leather on the divan by the stairs considering all the upholstered pieces you have. Love the coffee and console tables.
Shea, you are so talented! Perhaps a few shopping trips to estate sales to push your curation of furniture pieces and styling vignettes. Can’t wait to see what you’d come up with! xx❤
So many affirmations for me in this video, but my favorite has to be that you let your kids bring their stools up to the console table to eat while they watch a show. Totally what we do at our house too ❤
Something that could alter the flatness in the stairs is adding a statement color in one of the walls, maybe in the ceiling of the entryway so it has some sort of background. Overall it is amazing and the new style feels cozier and warm, I really like it and I’m taking notes for my next house 😊 My favorites are: the chimney and the two rose velvet chairs with the table ❤❤❤ and of course, the two vintage furniture items😅
I love that you’re evolving in your home. It’s beautiful. The entryway lamp is way too big for the table. You’re hiding the new mirror. A ceramic garden stool would look so much better than an outdoor type chair. I LOVE the barrel arch ceiling, the living room area, and the palette, l especially the ceiling! The fireplace and whole wall is stunning. The dark built-ins next to the large fireplace is so, wow! Great ottomans but you have a lot of furniture in that room. I’d take out a chair or two. The plant in the corner is covering the beautiful art piece and new sculpture vase. There’s a lot going on in that room. I’d re-think keeping some of it in there, especially with a toddler.
You keep it so real! I am in the same stage of life with you when it comes to having a toddler so I totally relate to everything you said. Can't wait to be able to decorate and style the way I want to but for now.. let's say my home is just more minimalistic 😅 My favorite part is the sofa/bench area with the darling oval picture frame, so pretty and dainty! ❤
First...love your house....how nice to be able to design your own house.......secondly....you look great....you lost weight and you look adorable...thx for the great videos!

Love love love the changes you made to the living room. I think you elevated so much. Love the wood antique coffee table and the rug. Also watched the video on the updates to the outside of the house and you all knocked it out of the park!!!
Absolutely stunning......you have inspired my colour theme and accessories in my renovation in the UK....love the natural, calming, cosy but elevated look which is so warm and inviting. Would love to see this room at night with your lighting on Shea just to see how it transforms from day to night.xx
Aloha from Honolulu, Shea! OMG, what a beautiful remodel that you did with your living room and new furniture! I love that you took us through your thought process on why you did what you did, and also that you talked slow enough for me to understand what you are saying! (I'm older....LOL!) I am currently reading your book, "The Art of Home" and loving it as well! Will you be taking us to see other parts of your home too? I sure hope so!!
Antique drawer is so nice at the entryway. I’ve been looking for drawer for entryway to solve the same problem for long time. No luck yet! Thank you open my view to antique furniture!
Very very subtle changes! I always thought that having black railings on the staircase would have taken away some of that blank canvas/open space look, but it looks lovely with what you have done ❤
Your creative thought process is inspiring! The subtle changes are beautiful! Just listening to your description on how you make decisions is so intriguing! The result looks timeless with a quiet elegance!❤❤
Love the changes! Since you kept mentioning it staged vs how it normally is for function/kids would love to see a follow up that’s a real day in the life look
I was blown away before, but now you hit this out of the park 🙌🏻. Your home is gorgeous & you are so helpful explaining everything. Absolutely stunning home ❤
The gorgeous painting behind the pedestal is the FIRST thing I noticed. I love that you mentioned the artist's name, because most designers never seem to mention us 🥰
I loved all changes. Definitely elevate the design but kept the welcoming and warmth of the space. I learned many strategies of arranging and how to create a vignette. Always learning something new. I find myself applying some of your approaches in my home. Thanks and congrats. Looking forward for what’s next.
Watching this makes me less gulity for keep changing my house’s interior. Not a big reno like Shea, just keep changing my vases, or thinking about different kinds of lamps, or side tables, or coffee tables. 😂

I think adding those swoops to the walls helped so much. And they tie in with the walls outside!
Totally agree - thanks so much! ❤
The changes were HUGE but the results are very subtle. The only thing that counts is that you are happy with it.
Nice to see that her style has matured and become more elevated.
❤️❤️
LOL and you are who? I bet on her worst day she can style anything better than you ever could
I love the refresh. It's more dressed up than before, but just as cozy and livable. Beautifully done.
I think a natural wood ceiling on the second floor would have been a nice, warm feeling. Less "flat" as you say.
My favorite improvement is the ceiling and new light. Brilliant idea with the socks in the entry, I am going to copy that idea.

The dining room is beautiful. 😍

The railing is beautiful!
I agree about the railing
