I like the work and the patience you have shown to the build, but the original suzuki scheme would have looked better I feel, just me, but great work Gareth
Thanks man ! If you followed along the build parts you would know that this was the only option i could go with for fairings so i made the best out of a bad situation 😅
Not a fan of the flames but an epic build.really enjoyed watching it come together.i wouldn't want to let it get wet it's that clean, bit difficult though as I'm from liverpool.keep up the good work.well done.
Great job! Not a super huge fan of the flames but I admire your skill and attention to detail. I just restored a K6 - went with new “original style” blue and white fairings from auctmarts. Quality was pretty good and the bike turned out beautiful. Keep up the good work! 👍

Thanks for making this vid. It impacts me directly as I’m doing the same build. Also I love that bmw bike my friend here copied the fairings on his and it looks amazing! Keep up the good work!!!
Awesome finished result GC! It actually looks super cool with the flames & red highlights 👌🥇 The finish & effort involved in giving this busted up bike an absolute new lease of life is a credit to you, your determination & damn hard work & time. Sounds great screaming around the roads of SA! Whoever buys this is getting a brand new cool machine!👌 Happy New Year to you bro & here’s to great things for you 🙌⭐️
Amazing bike but I think the stitching should have been the same color as the flames on the rest of the bike and the silver should have been black. Other than that great bike man! Keep it up 👍
As always my friend an outstanding job. Your attention to the minor thing is second to none. Still think the red levers and grips should go lol sorry Gareth. Overall the paint scheme is clean but classic suzuki would have been a nice touch along with a standard cover on seat. Regardless it an amazing finish to the project, we can all be critics and cant all want the same. Would live to see a super naked on the channel one day. Cheers Gareth keep up the amazing work 👍.
I am definitely not a fan of dark screens on motorcycles. Tinted I can live with (my bike even came factory with slightly tinted one, though I switched to bigger clear one), but on this bike it really goes well with the fairings and is not sticking out like a sore thumb. Definitely not the fan of flames on cars or bikes, but at least colors are working well together.
Great job as usual ,of course i subscribe , a pleasure to watch and now this a brand new Gex because of you, congrats and happy new year, going to get a Gex in a few months now haha.... :)

@@GarrethCollins I'm an former Racer here in Northern Ireland I do try to find as many bike channels here . But yours is one of the best . Keep up the great work
An excellent and very thoroughal rebuild of bike, but the farings and seat are total nightmare in my opinion and make the bike look kind of "cheap". I know you said this was the only option at that time.
Honestly i didn’t know what to do with this build so i took the only options i could and if i could of gotten a pair on plain fairings and a costly paint job i would of done that first
Hi Garreth love your content. I would like to know where do you buy accident damage Superbikes(in SA) I would love to start a project like this with my Dad
I would love to know the reasoning of everyone's hate for dark screens. The screen in itself other than deflecting wind plays no role for me. Is it because of lighting to the cluster/gauges or another reason?
@Dan Carlos ok other than the fact that the wind screen is only so high even with a double bubble and you would have to have a small ass head to fit below the top unless you are speeding without a helmet, the complaint is not being able to RACE with a dark screen in order to see? Being devils advocate here you aren't supposed to be speeding on normal roads in the first place so that would require you to be at a track which in itself has entirely is own rules. That being said as I also do speed from time to time, I can see above my double bubble dark screen perfectly fine on the road. So I guess I'm still at a loss.
@@dannyfigueroa8092 If you cant tuck below the screen and see out of it, you won’t beat someone that is. At 100mph a soda can sized area robs 1hp, so imagine how much hp you’re losing through wind drag.
@Dan Carlos I get it, maybe it's just me. I refuse to act dumb on the streets when I have kids to come home to so racing and dark screens isn't really my concern. If I'm getting into that type of a tuck I'm usually all on my own somewhere away from other people. But I get your opinion.
@@dannyfigueroa8092 It's not an opinion it's just facts, I'm not saying it's smart to race around all the time either, but we almost all do it to an extent. I mainly just do track days. It is my opinion however that dark screens look tacky, they make the front end look too bulky and almost every street rider has one, so it's not unique either.
