A new-ish song that sounds like an old song... love the dancey, northern soul feel, brooding strings, and bluesy, soul vocals straight out of a southern state spiritual song. It's as sublime as it is infectious. Much credit to the young guys who created it 💜
this is on repeat everywhere I go, and its on **loud** I MUST DANCE to this... everything about it; the strings, snare, choir harmonies, his voice... its like dripping honey for me. Bought the album on Bandcamp and *very* happy. More of this please people!
Me being sappy, but I love this short video. It’s just people dancing, but it’s also a showcase of how music and dancing is such a natural form of human expression. We dance seriously, jokingly, to match how the music makes us feel. Different dances across cultures, decades, age groups, and environments, and while the moves may be completely unknown to us and the music muted, we know and recognize “that person is dancing”.
YES! This Is so great!! So much JOY and Magic what a thing it is to be human, what a strange time to be alive.Cant believe that is the first time I have seen Nina Simone Dance! Incredible work! Thank you.
Huhu 😅 You kidding but they (he) made an incredible version of Nina's "i put a spell on you" in this cool show named Taratata, in France. Huge freestyle performance from the singer, Love it forever then 🙏❤❤❤
Wow, Thank you so much for this music, the compilation of epic dance clip... AND that powerful footage at the end. Dance is live, revolution and the human soul
This has been my lockdown go to get up and dance like a loon in the allotment shed tune. As I speak, I'm playing this on a fairly loud Bluetooth speaker off the phone, and sure the neighbours think I'm nuts. Ask me if I care
Mark Radcliffe played this on Sunday. Just love it. Northern Soul is live and kicking in the 21st Century. I can’t dance but this makes me wanna get on up 😀
It’s not Northern ....it may get played in venues but it’s never a northern soul tune .....it’s a soul tune that the scene appropriates like every single one of the tunes played at venues
It's just soul & History of Dance , As a 62 year who as been on the scene since 15 years old , Don't categorize as Northern Soul as the use of the word is Stale .

This video is so awsome and gives me such Adam Curtis vibes 👍👍👍 I remember hearing him be interviewed on chapo trap house and saying he loves videos of people dancing as it the only time people feel true and free or somthing to that accord. Awsome choice of song, goes with it so well 👍👍👍
A 2:40, qui est-ce? Impossible de retrouver son nom... Merci ! Et super vidéo..! At 2:40 who is it ? Impossible to remember her name... Thanks... And great vid..!!

downtime symphony with celeste for me ... first time listing to it 30mins ago ... it’s been on rotation since I’ve heard it
The singer sounds like a cross between Antony Hegarty and Sylvester. An absolutely timeless record!
And a slight touch of Nina Simone I thought
