    One of the more interesting things about the scene in the hospital is how Debora reaches out to Robert the moment that she finds out the news about Ray. In spite of everything, she sees Robert as a source of strength in the family.

    Whenever Frank stands up, you know its a serious moment. When Ray fronts off against his wife (idiot), and when Robby walks out having given up and he actually says "son". Simple yet powerful

      Frank could be an a****** but underneath all that attitude I don't give a s*** I don't care was a man that actually built up a wall so nobody would see him being weak but there are moments when that Go away and you see the real hymn especially when Raymond wasn't waking up from surgery you actually saw the fear in Frank's eyes when he was talking about how Deborah fell

    All of these scenes have merit. Marie breaking down while speaking to the FBI agent is extremely emotional. Robert realizing that he may not have a soulmate, another powerful scene. But the scene at the hospital is not only incredible, it is an incredible bit of acting by everyone. Debra going from normal to a state of shock in a heartbeat, Robert, switching from being a touch bitter in a comic scene to frightened, angry, heroic just seconds later. When he says "I'm his brother!" Just wow....Frank..usually so quick to throw out a witty or sarcastic comment..stunned into silence. That scene still brings tears to my eyes..Patricia Heaton and Brad Garrett are just fantastic.

    ELR is a funny show but it’s always felt raw and realistic. The last scene always gets me. We may have mixed feeling about our siblings. Robert claimed to hate Raymond and was jealous of him. But he didn’t hesitate, his first thought was to save his brother. Despite how you feel about your siblings nobody would hesitate to do the same...that’s why family IS family, would die for them.

I felt so isolated. So alone. And I felt like I had no one to talk to or say I love you to. I always felt like because I wasn't in a relationship that no one would ever love me. That I would spend the rest of my life alone and depressed. Luckily now, I have an amazing man that loves me for me and that loves and supports me as much as I love and support them.😊

    #2 describes my situation perfectly...no matter how I try, no matter how well I treat a lady, as a gentleman should, I end up with a lonely, broken heart. I admit that I'm no George Clooney, but I'm not Quasimodo either, still, as Robert says, "Nobody wants this" (indicating himself), and now Hollywood and Washington are basically saying that I don't deserve a good lady, because of my own demographic make up...and I wish I could tell them all how much they hurt me with those messages😭

      Andy Leclerc you’ll find it one day. Don’t stop being a good man. A good woman will see it and value it. It doesn’t matter how many loves you have in your life, the only one that will ever matter, is the one that never leaves.
      Stay positive.

    This is why sitcoms from the 80s-early 2000s where the best. They did a great job with balancing humor with reality. Most sitcoms today just focus on lame jokes and even when they do get serious they just turn it into a gag.

    Frank talking about being "weaker" than his dad really hit home for me. I know my dad got hit, probably a lot. He would spank me sure, but he would never hit me even though that's how he was raised. There's a part of me that knows he couldn't bring himself to do it.

    I was moved by the scene when the six adults were snowed in and Debra hurt Frank's feelings. He went outside, she followed to apologize, and Frank told her he had always thought the two of them were a team.😢

    Where's LEFT BACK from Season 4 Episode 10? When Raymond is talking to the twins, the look in his face says it all, defeat, too hard to a father accept that his children must stay in school another year!!!

      I've never known twins who did not progress through school together. I've known kids where one flunked and ended up in the same grade, or 9 month "twins" who ended up in the same grade, but never real twins who were separated when one was smarter than the other. That would have been awful for the one who didn't know he was "slower".

    Sometimes the Casting of this Show was downright ingenious. The Lady who played The Duty Nurse in the ELR finale is a Comic Actress named Miss Henriette Mantel. Before this, She played Housekeeper Extraordinaire "Alice Nelson" in "The Brady Bunch Movie" on The Silver Screen. Then there's the Actress who played "Zia Sarina." Miss Argentina Brunetti, who a number of years ago became famous for the movie catchphrase "Everytime a bell rings, an Angel gets its wings!" as a young girl in "George Bailey's" Family in "It's A Wonderful Life."🤔😏😇🔔📺🎥B.W.

    Even though this show is not my favorite I think the constant babying of Raymond gets on my nerves I really do appreciate how this show can be funny and comical and stuff but what it's serious they know how to stop the canned laughter losing someone more like Raymond and Robert thinking about losing a family member is very insulting if someone were to just come up and start laughing their ass off I used to like the show no he did watch it every night but like I said Raymond always getting his way really got on my nerves but I do appreciate this show being serious and not making someone feel bad or look bad because they said bad things

    It would have been nice if the show had more moments like these instead of it mostly consisting of Debra being a shrew. Even Frank had a reason for how he was, but she was just mean.

    • @elainehott9303
      @elainehott9303 4 роки тому +8

      Marie was the mean shrew. She always talked down to everyone, especially Debra. Raymond was a Mamasboy who never defended Debra, he even lied to his parents about her {He told them she was a drunk and overused the Credit Cards} He never helped with his kids, he prefered to golf. Debra put up with a lot.
