March in Toronto - 2024

March in Toronto starts to give us hope that Winter is almost over. To start, the second Sunday in March the clocks spring ahead an hour, giving us an extra hour of sunshine later in the day. By the end of March the sun is shining until 7:45pm. Also, around the second full week of March is March Break for school age children. If you are visiting that week, attractions will be busier, but they also offer additional programming for young children. The weather ranged from -10 to 18C. It is typically around 5 to 8C. We got a big snow fall, but by the next day, most of it had melted. This year Easter fell at the end of March. Most attractions are still open, as well as the Eaton Centre. You will be able to find many restaurants to eat in. If you enjoy watching live sports you can check out Maple Leafs, Raptors and possibly Blue Jays Games. This year the Jays home opener was delayed due to construction at the Rogers Centre, so they are on the road until April 8th.
Overall March isn't a month I would recommend to visit Toronto, but if you do come you will be able to get out and see a lot. Just bring your winter coat and gear.
