Hi❤
A subscription school was a type of private school that operated in the 19th century in rural areas of the United States before the rise of common schools
Really love your historical videos, you show things that most of us have never seen, love your humor 😊
you must have a cast iron stomach
You eating all those beans 🫘 made me instantly think of blazing saddles 😆
Or Dennis the Menace the movie😅🔥💥
Watkins Mill is a pretty cool place and a good place to fish. They’ve also got some really shade covered camping spots, too. Great for some summer time camping in the truck or tent.
Quady going right up to the turkey's faces and repeatedly calling them ugly lmao!!!
Yay an hour video!! Can’t wait to watch when the kids are in bed for the night and I can just relax and enjoy the vlog!💙😊
An hour long episode!! Grateful for the upload! Thanks Mike. Another beauty! Just what I needed to spruce up my day!
A subscription school were funded by a monthly tuition fee paid by the parents to the teachers. In turn, the teachers were responsible for securing a place of study and for paying the rent from there earnings. it wasn't uncommon for classes to be conducted in a tent, dugout, home or church. Thanks for sharing loved the history of this place x
Like the new intro! Lookin forward to watchin 🍻
Thanks 👍
Awesome as always Mike. Thank you for sharing your adventures. I thought it was super cool, I appreciate you taking us around exploring Watkins woolen mill. Seeing the church and school and the graveyards and hearing some of its histories is Pretty cool.
That helicopter sounded like a scary movie scene 😳 😬 so No it wasn't just you, it didn't sound like a helicopter or airplane at first just sounded demonic yikes 😬 😳 freaky 😳 😬 but after it got overhead it just sounded like the helicopter was on its last leg yikes 😳, that's not good.
This is a great video, Mike. Thanks for sharing I'm looking forward to the next one.
KEEP ADVENTURING
GOD BLESS YOU
🤗HUGS🤗
Yezzir! Cheers!🍺

That new mug makes that beer look delicious!
It does!
Let's Get At It!
🤟🤟
Cool locks. I got two of those metal detecting a old farm field👍🤓
Creeping up on 100k brotha! Really appreciate these types of videos and the extended content. I’m sure a good amount of time goes into editing these. Thanks Quady!
Appreciate it!
Love these style videos, makes me want continue to learn and consume the knowledge of this great land that we don’t get to see as much anymore. Until the next one much love CrazyQuady.
Check out his buddy Daves channel.
That school building was cool. It’s still in great shape.
Love the longer format!
Great video. It’s like I get to go on a camping trip and check out cool stuff when I can’t. Really appreciate all the cool stuff you share.
I love that you make the most of your camping expeditions taking your viewers along for the ride, sightseeing and history lessons combined 🥰
We need to get Quady to 100K
That is a great meal, can't beat it with a cold beer on the side.
I’m in ND we have lots of black hawk helicopters, I knew that sound right away . Cheers
That campground is packed during the spring and summer.
Ha! That's where I like to kayak and the Scout Troop goes camping.
Mike, I don’t know if anyone has explained the helicopter yet, but I can tell you exactly what it was. That was Life Flight, our air ambulance here in Kansas City. I live about 2 miles from KU Med Center ( trauma center ) and that helicopter passes over my house frequently.
I think it’s kinda like any other “hotrod”. The exhaust is wide open and the motor is built to make it fast as hell!
Love your vids!
My favorite part of your videos is what you eat lol. Always some funky stuff I’d never eat as A healthy eater. Awesome stuff brother. Keep it up.
Awe they are adorable🦃
Thank for the tour! And it's a flock of sheep.
A subscription school was popular during this time. It was essentially a private school and parents paid tuition, however they only paid for the number of days the child attended.
Thanks bunches for sharing.❤️ from here in Michigan
You was only about 45 minutes from where I live on this trip Quady. Pretty cool to see this park. Ive thought about camping there a few times and never have. Good video sir.
The weather is just about to be t-shirt time in NE for a day...then more snow.
Ugh, I know! On the plus side, at least we're past daylight savings
Duuuude, after all those beans and wieners it must of smelt like you woke up in a New York subway 🤣🤣🤣 another awesome history tour CQ and all those Flys in the school house looked a little sketchy 😱
Your videos are the best!! I enjoy watching your channel. Thanks!!
Thanks Paul ✌️
Another cool episode, cheers from New Zealand!
🍻
I would NOT want to be in the back of that truck when that dinner decided to kick in. LOL Loves the Vids Quady, keep on Truckin 💪
That helicopter sounded like an awesome single chord on an old school synthesizer:)
Awesome brother 🇺🇸🇺🇸👍thanks for sharing
🍻
Another lovely video. Cool place. Would love to go back to those days. Real world then.
Love going camping with youall!
Excellent video Mike thanks for the one hour upload.
There was a recall on those vienna sausages, just be careful you don't have any that will make you sick. Thanks for another fun video
That was very educational love the talking to the animals nice dinner.
That house is beautiful on the inside.
CQ Armour also has Jalapeno flavored canned sausages. We typically find them at Dollar General
Fry up some peppers and onions and mix the beans and sausages in with.
Yeah the site looks interesting. We may give it a try.
Can hear the spring peepers!
Is a group of sheep called a flock? Another great one man. Keep em coming.
If the fire starter tablets are hexamine, you certainly can break them into smaller pieces. However, be sure to keep the pieces in a tightly sealed package. Hexamine absorbs a lot moisture from the air.
Good to know!
Loved the tour,. even if it was just outside, always been a huge history guy! The Animals were an added bonus!. Thanks again for the great video. As for the Sub. School its a Private school, usually found in more rural areas. However what made it unique was the pay style of paying by the scholar - IE you only paid for the amount of days your child was being educated - so it was perfect for the pre industrial era (with kids being home helping around the farm etc.) There was no real 'standardization' as far as curriculum and.. it was a 1 room 1 teacher kind of affair usually only extending for what we now would equate to the primary education years.
Subscription Schools was kind of like private schools but they were ran on month-to-month basis and it did not have a "school building" often times they would set up schools in tents or in barns on the property of the one of the parent's lands.
I very much enjoy your videos. I really like when you visit these historic sites.
Glad you enjoy it!
Always enjoy the historic areas you visit, thanks for taking us along.
Great place. Nice camp grounds.
Great video buddy!! I eat Vienna sausage original all the time. Lol grew up eating them. Have a great time.
Very good, you are down in my neck of the woods !
Really enjoying the site visits, thanks. Take care.
The helicopter sounds like our life flight helicopter here in nova scotia canada. Our medical helicopter
I'm so glad that I found your channel, I love your tours of historic site's. It is the samething that I love to do when I go traveling on my own.
Thanks again for another Banger video and hope you feel better , I'm one nostril down also.
Perfect way to end a Monday
That helicopter sounded like suspenseful music LOL
I do instant coffee. but the freezed dried type... You can make it as strong as you want...folgers or any type...I also do a freeze dried esspresso.
17:10 The sheep have totally ignored you, that’s rude of them give them some hot sauce 😁
Sometimes ya just gotta keep it simple! Love the content bro. Keep it up!
Another Great vid Mike. Thanks for sharing with us!
They also make Hot & Spicy Vienna Sausages. They aren't hot or that spicy but they are good. Love watching your videos. There's so cool places you should visit down here in Alabama.
We have lots of cool history spots in Missouri.
Sometimes I wonder why I watch these videos. An entire video of Quady peeping into windows. Like wtf. 😂
*That arch in the factory used to be open so wagons could pull through to load and unload.*
I hope you feel better soon.Cold and Flu are going around bad here in N.C.❤
That hook you can hang a lantern but it’s there to hang a trash bag off so the critters don’t get it laying on the ground
another great video Mike as usual. a lot of good content and very enjoyable 💯
Thanks Rich ✌️
Didn't know if that was a chopper or you were blasting a Pink Floyd tune. Another great video.
Missouri is full of history . Cool history in the old tobacco plantation areas also ... PEACE !!!!!!!!!
Love this place, usually go once a year
Wish ya could've gotten inside the house and school house....me and my wife just love old houses and buildings. Especially their woodwork and Victorian designs. I know she'd love that staircase and the schoolhouse.
Enjoy the nice weather Homie; it's snowing in Western Pennsylvania.
I noticed those rail fences about knee high to waist high! Can you imagine in the 1800's they split those rails as they called them with a broad ax and wedges. How would you like to do that for a living? Felling tree's and splitting fence rails! Now that would be one hard way to make a living! Wow! 😬
Stay warm in your black sox Quad❤
I think they used the ole p-38 style can opener on that tool. I remember using one in seal training a long time ago. And for those who want to know. NO I did not make the teams. Way to damn out of my league. But want to say. Great vid. So damn relaxing to be able to do this would be great. So suck it up and enjoy. Keep-M coming.
Yeah I can tell that cold is still kickn your ass. I can't believe you had never had Vienna sausage before. I like them, the barbecue are better than the regular ones, you can eat them straight out of the can. Enjoyed the video very much! And the history also! Keep up the good work man, see you in the next one!
Don't worry, as soon as the pines and the oaks quit shedding pollen your snose will clear up!!! As my son used to say, "Bomb, sometig id madking bye dose itch!" (Translation, Mom! Something is making my nose itch!)
Awesome bro x
🤟
If I had a dollar for everytime he says “you won’t be able to see it” lmao love ya quady
I could live in those buildings! Flock, herd or fold of sheep. A subscription school was a type of private school that operated in the 19th century in rural areas of the United States before the rise of common schools, ...
Hi
👋
Just found you today, great vid, you even speak turkey, how great!!!!
I love these touristy spots! Have you ever been to Lincoln’s New Salem in central Illinois. They have a campground and a lot of old cabins and buildings to explore.
Will it burrito. Featuring Frank's n beans. 🤣
