because these “police officers” aren’t held to the same standards as your usual law enforcement agencies I mean some dude in this video had a neck tattoo which would never fly in most agencies across all levels. I honestly don’t know what they do I believe they are similar to hospital police and don’t even carry firearms. Judging by the appearance of some of these “officers” I wouldn’t be surprised if they had no fitness or grooming standards
Another city agency masquerading as Police which are not ? Odds are they appointed as Special Patrolman and an excerpt from NYC Admin code reads : § 13-05 Conduct. (a) It is a crime for a Special Patrolman to represent her/himself as a Police Officer (§ 190.25 of the New York State Penal Law). (b) Unlawful use and possession of a police uniform, shields or emblems, as prescribed by § 14-107 of the New York City Administrative Code, shall be cause for revocation of a Special Patrolman designation. (c) A Special Patrolman shall be subject to the orders and regulations of the Police Commissioner, and shall cooperate in the performance of duty with members of the Police Department. (d) Upon making an arrest, a Special Patrolman shall, without delay, bring the prisoner before the Desk Officer at the precinct in which the arrest is made, or directly to the Central Booking facility as appropriate. (e) A Special Patrolman employed by a city or state governmental agency other than the New York City Police Department, which has a formalized procedure for the issuing, recording, and forwarding of summonses for personnel of the agency concerned, shall comply with the regulations of that agency. Any other Special Patrolman who serves a summons shall deliver the necessary papers to the Desk Officer of the precinct in which it was served, without delay. (f) A Special Patrolman shall promptly notify the Special Patrolman Section of a change in residence, telephone number or employment status. (g) If a Special Patrolman is arrested, s/he shall immediately notify her/his employer and the Special Patrolman Section of that occurrence. (h) Non-compliance with any provision of these rules by a Special Patrolman may result in suspension or revocation of her/his designation. Non-compliance with any of these rules by an employer may result in revocation of its approval to participate in the Special Patrolman program.
