I built my first one not too long ago, with lots of input from friends and based on what I will actually use as a gigging bassist. Kept it simple and I've been really happy with it. Tuner (doubles as an off switch
I like some of the sounds from an octace pedal, or in my case pod go octave fx and catalyst amp built in octaver, is there a rule of thumb or what not to do list idk I'm just starting out on this effect, seems to have pretty cool applications
I have a POG. When playing bass in a country trio I bought it for one song. Fast As You by Dwight Yoakum. The guitar and bass play the same line. When the guitar does the solo that octave is missing. That used to drive me nuts. So, 200.00 bucks later and I was sane.
They need to start making "mini multi effects pedals"which are basically 2/3 pedals all in one row in a single pedal so it has 3 foot switches and and 3 built in foot pedals "for example the moving part where you move it with your foot like a stomp pedal style, it will save buying couplers and not using the mount of power it takes to power 3 pedal too. THEN ALL IT WOULD NEED IS ONE POWER PACK/BATTERY AND THE 3 IN ONE TOGGLE SWITCH WIRED IN SO TWO QUICK CLICKS OF IT WILL ACTIVATE THE FIRST SECOND PEDAL AND 3 CLICKS FOR THE THIRD PEDAL "WITH THE CAPABILITY OF "PRESSING THE SWITCH DOWN AND A CLICK CLOSE ENOUGH, Which ACTIVATES THE PEDAL Having TOGGLE LOCK WHICH IS THE TOGGLE SWITCH BEING TURNED ON AND THE TOGGLES WORK NORMALLY BY A SINGLE CLICK OR YOU CAN PRESS IT DOWN COMBINED WITH 2 QUICK CLICKS " WHICH ENABLES ANOTHER OF THTE TRIPLE EFFECTS PEDALS TO BE JOINED.
@@Farewelltokingz Actually your right on time. I was sitting at work behind my desk daydreaming wasting time and I was thinking about this comment I left. So it's referring to an eighth note followed by two 16th notes? Okay then that's cool. Thanks for replying and there you have it..
octave pedals sound amazing, defo putting them on my bucket list for my first pedal setup.
you should start streaming
A staple for any bass players pedalboard for sure!

Guy Pratt is the man!!
I remember watching the Pulse tour dvd and being like, "yo He is on fire!"
In person that must have been truly epic.
He was great fun to hang with in the studio!!
As a death metal guitarist with a Boss Hm2 I know exactly what he's talking about
Love this and seeing Ian on the edge of his seat, priceless!
🔥🔥🔥
Listened to the full interview on the podcast. Guy is such a trip!
Yay! Definitely! I’m hoping to buy the Boss octave pedal, a bit pricey but worth it because they are such great pedals ❤
They are classic & killer!
The Goat!!

The 5th Member of Pink Floyd
Sounds beautiful ❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥
Nice Pino riff from that Paul Young track, best octave bass
Oh yeah! Straight up 🔥🔥🔥
I need one! I've been recording the higher octaves separately and then combining them with the original bass track!
You're doing it wrong! The synthy low octave is where the magic is at!
YMMV
As a lowly 6-string banger, I too love the octave-ator effect....almost as much as delay...
Tore that playhouse down for sure. Add some effect and a fretless viola
Tear your playhouse down …. That and sledgehammer are great examples.
Where's this full interview??

Why the edge doesn’t 😂😂😂😂😂
How do I get that sound
The Gilmore Triplett is that a thing? if it is, it sounds good to me.
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Year late but he’s really referring to an eighth note and two sixteenths. Not a triplet but a group of 3 notes.

@@bAgRiMoIrEsS.4 yeah, it’s the same rhythm as many Iron Maiden basslines “the gallop”
@@Farewelltokingz Totally! They use that in their song "The Trooper" off the "Peace of Mind" album.
Chorus for Pino sound or octave

Tony Levin “Sledgehammer” vibes

What octave pedal is this
the old boss one. The mxr bass octave deluxe is my fav.
OC-2 OCTAVER
Is he the Sledgehammer Guy guy??
You’re thinking of Tony levin. Also badass bassist
You should try the Beringer Ultra Bass amp.
