But it’s only a healing moment for Reese, Reese’s fans and CC’s fans. CC has never been remotely involved in this ‘beef’ which is really just either a good marketing scheme and/or a dark fantasy of Angel’s.
With all the talk and hype leading up to this All-Star game, CC’s game tonight was embarrassing. Now I understand why she was not in the three-point contest. I truly expected a much better performance from her. ☹️☹️☹️

Arike got her revenge. She is the 2nd highest scorer in the league. She was snubbed before by the Olympic team and this year, she removed herself from the recruitment process because of the politics/favoritism. The Olympic team does not want to integrate youth. How many gold medals does one person need?
I would replace Arika with DT, Caitlin with Grey, Angel with AT and JJ with BG.

Man I just liked how Team WNBA looked. Fast pace, great passing, 3 point shooters and players that can get boards. I wish they would let some of these younger players get a spot on the USA team and retire some of the others

I think people should stop discrediting either player & let’s all come together and enjoy greatness from both players ! This league is in good hands for a long time! Unfortunately there will still be some clowns out there trying to cause a divide because misery loves company but this was awesome to see ! They both made history ! They will both go down in history

Facts
Reese almost had a double double in 5 minutes. Her defense was crazy good, hands are crazy good, and her Leadership was awesome
I am glad that Miller let the cat out of the bag about "the WNBA team wants to beat the brakes off of the olympic team". It put the fire under both teams to perform. There has never been an NBA all star game like this that I can remember. Arike Ogunbowale was the truth. Seems that politics left her off the team, but actual game play shows what should have happened. Arike Ogunbowale sparkled like a sack of diamonds under those special lights in the Zales window.
Reese is like Gumby. That is not a put down at all. Her arms just stretch to the ball. It's crazy.
Also, that pass from CC to AR was great...Caitlin just freezes Greiner, Angel moves to the perfect spot, dime, finish, foul that would have been called.
JJ was looking at CC the entire way down the court, and CC made that dime look easy. CC has the crazy ability to put the ball in the perfect place.
The entire game and presentation were very enjoyable to watch. Loved this format.
Lead by Reese leadership and respect the players have for her. When she was not in the game Team USA made pushes to get back into the game and go ahead until Reese and her crew came back in

I love that Angel continues to show how impactful she is…she plays defense, she brings energy, and she is gonna get a double double…among other things. Keep saying “rebounds is all she does”…she will keep proving y’all wrong.

Let's face it. Team USA got blown out. It's quite embarrassing. Fortunately, they will still get the gold since the rest of the world still sucks. But who knows. There might be upset. But they really need a true point guard.
I notice they double and triple teamed Clark from the get go, but she still managed 0 turnovers and got her teammates the ball!! Great game by WNBA . Great team work! The Rookies Shined! CC and AR played great and Arike was on fire.
I don't agree that the WNBA team is more talented than Team USA. It's just that if you take out Stewie and A'ja, the others haven't played at their best. A number of them are also coming back from injury. But I agree that Arike deserves her place in the roster.

I disagree, it was not an L for team USA (kind of), it was an L for the people who put team USA together. The political fashion that constructed the team was a big fail. And it showed. There may have been one player who stood up and asked "why am I not on team USA", (might have been, but don't remember who that might have been). I might be wrong, it may just be my imagination. But correct me if I am wrong, the last two times Olympians have played against the rest of the league they have lost. Is it possible that the selection committee for team USA is a wee bit flawed? Shouldn't team USA be the best team that we can field? If it was, rather than been picked politically, there is no chance that the rest of the all stars could beat them.
Yeah.. not just a little flawed.. it showed very well during the match where the player the team USA coach didn't care about was full court guarded, often double and triple teamed IN AN ALL STAR GAME!!!! WTF.. , and she still cooked them. That tells me she does care, and are just embarrassed and doubling down on her foolishness like the Karen she is, she even made her own team players suck just to guard the best Point Guard, a rookie of all things, WNBA has ever seen.

How much longer is the league going to blitz and double team Caitlin. It gets exhausting watching. Even when she’s 2-9 shooting they’re double teaming her. I wanna see CC being guarded like any other guard. They didn’t even double team or face guard Arike tonight and she broke the ASG scoring record.
They were so obsessed with CC, that AO scored at a bonkers rate. They gave up 117 points. That's a fail, and embarrassing no other way you can spin it.

Caitlyn is a great player, I am proud of her. Arike can move away from players better than Caitlyn at this time when she is not over thinking. Caitlyn gets in her head when the pressure is on. Arike played with the same greatness her entire career. Angel’s strength is that she plays with the same tenacity on the boards no matter who she plays against. When Angel gets better at shooting on the perimeter, she will be even more of a “beast” on the court!

Rodman yes i had thought at one point they wanted him to focus on rebounds. If he gets a shot off cool, pass it to get the ball back out from the bunch up under the rim if no openings or another is set & ready or reset reposition, another try. Be careful of that shot clock.

I only watched the 4th. but they were dicking around trying not to stop the clock so clark couldn't get in. not passing her the rock, and muffing passes trying to make her get a turnover. Miller noticed some of it and said something to sue bird about it. After that demonstration of sportsmanship none of the players on the court tonight deserve to go to the olympics. I would rather we forfeit then to let them represent my country.

I played point guard that is what you supposed to do pass the right pass for assist. It’s funny that CC did not do the 3’s so most media is hyping up the assist. I love that she passes well but you praised the dump off more than the receiver who scored. The MVP is even spoken of less that CC. Maybe you commentators don’t realize this is what you do? I agree this was the best Allstar game ever. Every time you mention the 2 time Allstar MVP Arike you make sure you mention CC almost in the same breath. Arike played playground basketball. She kept chucking shots like she was on the blacktop. It was ridiculous. That kind of play should not be celebrated. Great game, wife, and I enjoyed every second. This US team got their butt's handed to them and their coach, which is a joke. USA BASKETBALL SHOULD SEND THESE LADIES AND COACH MILLER TO PARIS. USA Basketball definitely learned a huge lesson tonight to be alot more careful how they handle picking a team. WNBA players look like they really enjoyed playing together and had fun playing. Team WNBA led by Clark is in better shape than team USA! Clark plays fast for 40 minutes in games! Other players, especially from team USA look like they used or needed walkers!! So glad WNBA won over team USA! Take that Coach Reeves! Arike belongs in the Olympics! Clark has most assists by a rookie. Mitchell did well too. I will even give credit to Reese for her double-double!
Team WNBA was a more balanced team. Also quicker and can play a faster pace. Caitlin Clark’s passes weren’t fumbled in this game! 🤣 😂

There are no defensive specialists on the USA mens team. They are all offensive players, no defense. So, they are scored on easily.

I just assume Arike was on another country’s Olympic team since she wasn’t on Team USA. Her and CC not being on the team is the Connecticut Clique using their wins from 20 years ago against the better players. Turns out Team USA is a joke and does not pick players based on skills.

In every other sport there are objective standards that must be met, there are competitive trials to distinguish those who deserve to go, who best represents the United States. You should be ashamed. Only people who are this upset are CC fan blubbers who wanted her on the team regardless of her not attending any national team activities (unlike rookie Brink) and her looking pretty bad while the team was being selected.
I don't think this was a win for the league. The WNBA "Gate Keepers", players, coaches and league officials were just as responsible for snubbing these talented players as USA Basketball. We were told that these players hadn't earned the right to be considered as if they hadn't paid their dues. We were led to believe that these players would not be a good fit, or they hadn't proved their game against "Grown Women".
There are players on Team USA that absolutely, positively do not deserve a spot on the team and fans know this. Like in years past, the reality going forward will be, no one will pay attention to the women's game in Paris, and even if Team USA wins the Gold, they will still be considered second best team. This reality is the result of the petty jealous narcissism of current and past WNBA players and coaches.
