Our friend in the leasing office here gave me a lovely little succulent. I need to repot it, because there are no drainage holes. What are the best ways to use hydrogen peroxide in indoor gardening? I got a bag of succulent soil when I was on the East coast that had a major infestation of fungus gnats. That got tossed. Do you pretreat your succulent soil to kill off the gnats?

I am going THROUGH it now and for the past several months- it’s too much and a bummer but I’m talking multiple forms of abuse, life ruining/altering stuff, trauma, trapped under false pretenses & having to escape & start over, grieving, betrayal, heartbreak, anger, stress and like a 5 month straight panic attack, to summarize. I’m kinda drowning trying to keep it together and not end up hospitalized or worse. I get up every day to care for and hang out with my cat and my plants, and I’m trying my hardest to just take care of myself and not let a selfish shitty lying crackhead abuser bring me down, focusing on my work and healthy things for me (again,see: cat&plants). I…need to schedule some therapy. But in the meantime, it is amazing how calming, therapeutic, rewarding and just nice it is being around plants, caring for them and watching them grow and do their thing. You are an inspiration in a lot of ways and I think of your wisdom, compassion and strength often. To taking care of ourselves and our plant friends💚💛💙💜

Wanted to thank you for the cactus tips! I have a lot of them, some of them inherited from my grandfather, but didn’t know a lot of the ways I could be taking care of them better. They are happier than ever, and learning about being able to trim them and use the rooting powder was a huge help with that!

For those who don't know, this is also a peruvian apple cactus also called the queen of the night. If happy she will bloom once a year and if pollinated will fruit for you. The fruit is kinda like a pomegranate fruit. Enjoy its a lovely cactus
I like how caring for a plant can sometimes be interpreted from where they might grow in the wild Like well draining and bright light for plants from the desert I can imagine humidity works well for plants that grow in a rain forest I’m not good with plants honestly

Krystal I love your videos and plant lovin!! But the poky thing in the soil is getting out of hand 😅 this cactus had a really nice root system and when you reported it it lost like half of it by the looks of it, you can just gently move your fingers under it if it’s rotten to pul off the rotten roots but if there is no root rot you can just repot the complete thing it will not shock the plant as much as removing half it’s rootsystem, which will make it easier adaptable to the nee home, roots will grow. The only reason to use the poky thing is if the soil has become hydrophobic which this one really wasn’t as far as I can tell from this video. Or gently squeezing the soil to get loose and fall apart a bit works too!
I was thrilled to find this at walmart. I bought one for 20, went back and bought another for 20. Then they marked them down to 5 bucks. I bought 4 more! Snuck them all in the house. When my husband saw them he said, "you may need therapy hon." I said," actually I need another grow light." I repotted all, that soil was awful.🙄
once at a fancy hotel in arizona i saw a cactus that looked super fluffy my mom had warned me that those ones are the absolute worst and to never touch them but this one was too convincing and turns out it was actually fluffy
I still remember the first cactus I touched as a kid 😅😂 my late grandma used to have them next to the front door a few little pottles they where adorable but she always said *don't touch* and one day before we where heading out the door I was putting on my shoes and I really couldn't resist touching the one that looked the most *FLUFFY* wrong move kid 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 it was the most spines I learned Nan got the tweezers we didn't leave for a good half hour later lol kids are silly sometimes 😅

A member of my family offered me a grafted euphorbia lactea. After a month the grafted part became floppy and i decided to check what was going in. In fact, the base started to rot, it traveled all through the stem and eated the grafted part. I choped and tryed to same with fondicide every ferm parts that i could find. All is dead 😓 Already happend like 10 years ago. I have others succulents and a very few cactus but i really don't get what i do wrong with the grafted ones. I wonder how you would care for one of them ?

Omg I grabbed a cactus that was more alive then I thought at my condo, they just let them rot and the first few were good, until…. While hand full of invisible thorns😱 is been over a week and they are still blistering out of my hand 😫🤦♀️😂 lesson learned…..oh lesson learned!!!
