so judging by the animations starfield is a fallout 4 mod with new skins? I mean reload animations/sounds, faces and movement of npcs. They just took features from games like star citizen or no mans sky and added those on top and called it a day. At least thats what the gameplay looks like.
This is my first exposure to Starfield besides hearing about it. This doesn't look as groundbreaking for a Bethesda game as the hype made it seem apart from the space setting. It kinda looks like a Brotherhood of Steel, in SPACE! spinoff game. That's not to say it won't be fun, but this seems like at least 8x the details
Yeah, Bethesda after showing some gampeplay, rather than showing more or talking about the game more, showed "real life man plays piano" at gamescom, as well as a live action trailer, all for this artificial hype. I'll give you the fact that, in an interview or something, it was said that everything would be around the landing zone and so there was no real reason to venture out. I hope we can at least agree that the marketing was vague. Pointing at a moon and saying "look at the moon, you can go there", wasn't a lie. However, he left out the fact that it is a wasteland with nothing to do in it. With every thing they say, buzzwords and hype terms, they always have an asterisk for it not being exciting, it was just said in a misleading way. Like "skyrim has infinite quests" being a bunch of infinitely repeating radiant quests which are basic as hell, but some people could just go along with the sentence without thinking of what it entailed. "Fallout has 200 endings" but it was only slight variations to the ending based on what you did. Things like that. Unrelated but I've heard the early hours of the game are polished and more bugless, but later ones are littered with them, so they focused more on the beginning knowing players could notice the jank too early. I guess they don't promise a bugless experience, but for people who are surprised by how polished it seems, don't be, later in the game you will see bethesda bugs. Might honestly make the game more entertaining

Edit: I bought this game because of you and it’s one of the best games I’ve ever played.
Leave it to Kevduit to take all seriousness out of a game lol loving the vids man!
5:37 cant brlieve they got a drifter cameo!! Transmat firing!
that adoring fan is a fun connection to elder scrolls oblivion where a fan follows you around, it even looks a little bit like in the oblivion haha
True, but i cant really take it seriously in this setting, its the same voice in the wrong body.

so judging by the animations starfield is a fallout 4 mod with new skins? I mean reload animations/sounds, faces and movement of npcs. They just took features from games like star citizen or no mans sky and added those on top and called it a day. At least thats what the gameplay looks like.
its called being made in the same game engine and bethesda rpgs playing largely similar.
Its clearly 16x times the detail, with 16x the bugs. It's also gonna take 16x longer to fix lol.
Yeah, Bethesda after showing some gampeplay, rather than showing more or talking about the game more, showed "real life man plays piano" at gamescom, as well as a live action trailer, all for this artificial hype. Bethesda is real good at avoiding talking about their games more than they have to before they come out
Anyway, I'm sad people bought into the hype, knowing damn well its a Bethesda game and they tend to lie about what they are selling
@@TopCapeThere's literally nothing in the marketing campaign that misrepresented the game. Even the loading screens.
You're playing this off like it's another Cyberpunk but we literally got the product as advertised...
@@gracecalis5421 im pretty sure it was marketed as an exploration game, or that you could explore the planets, but the planets are baren wastelands.
@@TopCape If you were expecting literally every single celestial body to be brimming with content among the thousand that exist in the game, I'm sorry but that's unrealistic and extremely dumb. The game already has hundreds of hours of actual curated content through side quests and the main quest, wtf could you want more in the way of content? And in fact, it's confirmed that even barren planets have POIs. I mean, it's a marketing campaign, so getting the truth in a flowery form is the best you're gonna get from ANY big company in the industry. The alternative is what Cyberpunk did where they just flat out fucking lied.
If you’ve ever played elite dangerous or no man’s sky, you’ve basically already played the game, so don’t waste your time. It’s elite dangerous with better customization and slightly better combat.
Glad that someone else saw that this is basically an inferior NMS as well, the piloting looks damned identical, with extra flavor text screen clutter.
@@EndermTheSwordsman I’ve definitely played more elite dangerous than NMS, but it’s actually ridiculous how similar the games are. The crazy thing to me is that the exploration and space travel is actually far better in NMS and elite. Starfield isn’t a bad game, it’s just been CRAZY overhyped.
I still think its funny bethesda just made their own Outer Worlds
And copied no man's sky's mining sim attitude. While shallowing out the gameplay of both to make a transmorgaphied shallow monstrosity of both.
@@auquitaine9201it's kind of funny how hollow they made a space exploration game and nothing is worth exploring outside the big cities
Sure you'll find some data logs here and there on random mining outposts in buttfuck nowhere but overall you get entirely nothing for venturing far
Also most if not all of these planets follow no logic, earth for some reason has low gravity when you visit it and you don't have heat exhaustion when you visit venus
Titan seems to be a casual desert stroll, no methane lakes or anything fun
Boring game
@@LUCAS420BLZ But wouldn’t space be of exploration and have times where it’s empty? 🤔 Is what it is the game is fun

When he said dismemberment at the beginning I got excited. The lack of dismemberment in game, I got sad
I do wonder why they didn't go with dismemberment and gore violence. The game FEELS like it should have it, but maybe to get the game sold in countries with violence restriction
@@Kevduit it does feel like it should have it. But yeah restrictions. Though fallout had it decent. I would assume modders will get to it
@@Kevduit 3 words "sweet baby inc" the most recent parasite to infect the gaming industry with them the game has to be as "safe" as possible so people don't get offended by an optional piece of media

Can’t wait for a starfield grenades only run
everywhere i go i see skyrim. fallout, starfield, goat simulator. i cant escape him any longer
My god. It’s full of stars
4:56 has convinced me that this game will be as good as skyrim
Thanks for the look at the gameplay. Honestly I was so concerned Bethesda was telling lies again about this game. But overall looks worth the buy. It’s definitely like a no man’s sky made by Bethesda.
No man's sky isn't worthy of being called a game

It doesn't seem like the buggy mess that I thought it would be, it rather just seems kinda lame instead
Fallout 4 in Space, with everything i hated about it. Thats basically it. It could be very much Fallout 5 considering the earth is a giant Wasteland and the future they build looks like 70s Science fiction
Opposite for me. It has everything i love about fallout 4 and more
Watching gameplay of this game reminds me of the desperate car salesman from the simpsons who goes "please, i need this" and begs them to buy something.

"Where's the dragon?" Hit me Way harder than it had any right to.

oh boy that TTK. definitely going to wait for a realistic damage mod.
And again, Bethesda released bugged game that haven't progressed much since Skyrim and Fallout 4. And I'm loving it. Soon, modders will make this game to go up to a completely different level. And I will love it even more.

I have alot of fun with this game.
But I also didn't know anything about it until my friend told me about it. He said it was fallout in space. So that was my expectation. And it delivered on my expectations.
Playing Starfield on my 1060 in 60fps will look like the actual 360p video.
yeah im stuck with my 35w 4 core 8 thread i7-6700T @ 3.40- 3.60 GHz paired with a GTX 1660 ti which performs slightly better than the GTX 1070 like it's a GTX 1070 Super, so im hoping for at least 45 fps at 1080p. i really really hope Star Field has AMD FSR implemented, preferably FSR 2.0 which would allow 60+ FPS at 1080-1440p with older 10, 16 and 20 series NVIDIA GPUs
