Just finished watching this for the second time. I love an underdog story but this was a bit over the top. Another example of faulty judging, inconsistent scoring system and clearly bias commentating. Just another tuesday in Olympic boxing i guess.
The commentators are clowns, please...the cuban won this fight by landing 10 punches to 1
The cuban clearly won that. Kind of surreal watching the irish guy get outlanded and then the score comes up as 4:3 in his favour.
Remember watching this fight live on TV. Well deserved!

As an Irish person, this was a disgraceful sporting injustice. What the hell is wrong with amateur boxing? We know pro boxing is corrupt, the characters involved can only lead that to be the case, but amateur boxing surely should be better than this. This gold medal is as tainted as Michelle Smiths 3 and a bronze.
