    I've had this printer since Aug 2019. My first printer and I still love it. I did some upgrades on it like hardwiring the power supply to the motherboard, new spool holder, adding a parts cooling fan and upgrading the firmware to Marlin 2.0. Those were all cheap upgrades and I think it prints pretty damn good. Very happy with it still after 6 months of using it.

    I just got this 3-D printer and all these problems he pointed out I couldn’t find looks like kingroon saw this video and fix their problems that they had with their printer. Except with the lead screw and the filament That was the only problem i found but everything else on this printer is great!

      Same here, I got mine a couple days ago and within 40 minutes of unboxing I was printing the samples on the SD card with great results. I think I spent more time making sure the bed was level than anything else. So far, for a *very* affordable first 3d printer I couldn't be happier.
      NOTE to the author - Maybe instead of "the same settings you use with every other printer" you should try the manufacturer's recommendations first?

    ya your not going to find a better beginner printer for the price, color touchscreen, heatbed, linear rails, etc. i looked all over the internet and thisprinter i found was great by the reviews. most of the mistakes in this video were caused by you, no offence.

    that under extrusion looks like you didn't seat the bowden tube tightly onto the hotend. i did the same thing when i swapped mine out. it'll print fine once the plastic fills the gap between the hotend and bowden tube, but the resolution is garbage afterwards. i'm sure the printer can print at a quality that competes with some of the $500 printers.

    so most of your complaints are things that you just needed to learn the machine. all printers need a little honing into it's particular qwerks. overall a nice little printer with a small size over all yet with a bigger than normal print size.

    I just got this 3d printer for christmas, and it's alright. The printer came in very good condition with no broken or slightly moved parts, but the .gcode files for one print I wanted to print was messed up and way shorter than it should've been.

  • @Crims0nArt
    @Crims0nArt 4 роки тому

    It definitely isn't perfect, but its not bad, print quality can always be improved with a parts cooling fan, and the under extrusion can be fixed in the software. I'm glad I chose this as my first printer, it has issues but that's the best way to learn how to fix them. The facebook group is awesome too, everyone is super helpful and the company is there to help as well.

    they have changed all the issues u pointed out in this video. i got my kingroon kp3 about a month ago an it has been the most hands off printer ive ever owned. all ive done to it was print a sd card slot cover to help with directing the sd card into the slot and a part cooling fan duct which i did end up having to model my own cause they must have changed the x carriage cause all that i tried didnt line up with the hotend. an u should be able to take the settings from the kingroon slicer an move them to cura. the power jack has been changed an it fits nice an snug now an dont stick out as much as the old one. the filament run out sensor is changed an is lined up with the extruder so the filament has a straight shot from the run out sensor to the extruders hole where it goes in. the end stops look different on mine too an dont site cover by the x motor cover. they have listen to the community with this print cause every early review of this print points out all the same things an they are all fixed on mine. im guessing thats why the x carriage is different on mine also. anyone else that has a new kingroon kp3 let me know what part cooling fan duct you used. id like to have a dual fan setup if possible. i just remodeled the mount for a fang to get something on it and right now im using 3 different slicers the kingroon slicer for my kingroon kp3, creality slicer 1.2.3 for my ender 5 and cura 14.07 for my anet e10. they all came with the printers sd cards and have worked better for me than the newer cura profiles ive found, but ive point out that these slicers are a reskin of a cura 3.xx version so u should be able to move the settings over to cura an they work the same in a few facebook groups an the ones that tried it reported back with success so i plan to make a profile for each of my printers on the newer cura so i can take advantage of all its options i just havent found time to site down an copy everything over. if anyone has tried this let me know how it worked out for u an if u had to do any tweaking. and for the incomplete gcode. ive had this happen before with my ender 5 using the creality slicer. i think i closed the program out before it was able to finish writing the gcode to the sd card. either way it was the same as urs. would get to the end of the gcode an just stop. my temps would stay at what it was set to til u canceled the print. not had it happen since. after realizing the gcode wasnt complete i figured i had pulled the sd card before it was done writing an now i make sure the files is written to the sd card an eject it, if its still being used it was pop up something asking if u want to continue retry or cancel. i always cancel an give it a few seconds an try it again an it always ejects then and ive not had the issue since. and i switched to better sd cards from the cheap un marked ones that came with some of my printers.

    the slicer looks just like creality slicer 1.2.3 which is the same thing as u said its a reskin of a older version of cura but it works so well for my ender 5 im curious tho if u could take the numbers from the slicer that came with them an move them into cura so u could take advantage of all the settings it offers over the reskin of older cura.

    Should have done more research, I guess. I got this printer as my first 3D printer. Have had issues with it from the start. I got it because of the price. Like they say, you get what you pay for. Biggest issue is not having any kind of manual. I am used to having a manual with any piece of equipment I get, be it computer or radio. Got a few good builds out of it, but had to replace the bed. First one came apart. Now I can't get filament to feed. Guess I need to figure out how to take extruder apart. I guess it is good to know that others are having issues. Not just me.

    imagine printing pla plastic at 215 C, and making a bad review some people man. have u ever printed pla before omg.
    180-200 C is the recommendation, in which 200 is a bit high.

    • @3DNow
      @3DNow  4 роки тому +2

      That's 100% not true! The 215C was the recommended temperature on the slicer which came with the printer. That temp worked for that printer when 200C would not melt the plastic fast enough. It could be a problem with Kingroom's heater cartridge or hotend design that doesn't precisely read the temperature correctly or heat evenly. Also, some PLA plastics do print at over 200C! Composites print even higher.
