India needs to develop Astra MK 2, MK 3 and 120 kn Engines on priority.
United States and allies can sanction India any time in case of conflict with Pakistan due to left leaning and strong anti India lobby working in Washington.
What we want to fastrack is:
1. Nirbhay and Pralay and Brahmos.
2. Akash-NG and XRSAM.
We can end the war with Air Launched Brahmos from Su30.
While enemy's fighterjets get downed by air defence systems.
We need more Airdefence systems and cruise missiles.
So, our pilots work becomes super easier.

For the sake of theory Earth curvature can be considered but in real world top military powers utilises Over the Horizon radar and AWACS like system to mitigate curvature effect

We hardly see Nirbhay tests , like just one in a year or less and from that too until now most have been unsuccessful.
We can't go in war with a half-cooked missile & DRDO is just doing face-saving in giving it validation so fast.

But you yourself can check it out, check the timeline of Nirbhay , most are unsuccessful, it even came to a point where the government threatened DRDO to cancel the funds.
Russian cruise missiles have 1000s of practical test and even then they are considered a lot inferior to Tomahawk CM and here we are claiming to have developed world class missile in just hardly 2-3 successful tests
Those successful tests were carried using the Russian turbojet engine.

We still use 1970s era equipments and soldiers lack basic protection against bullets. India couldn't develop domestic defense manufacturing and RnD in 70 yrs. So it is impossible for India.

@@caster4824 28 Feb air battle showed that India lacks capabilities in certain areas. AD cover is one of them. AWACS or S400 would have significantly reduced reaction time. Or might have prevented enemy from launching offensive.

Yeah, but subsonic missiles are mostly practical missiles. Kalibr is also subsonic but has a variant with a rocket booster at terminal stage which makes it supersonic at the required moment.

Ngorno-Karabak and now Ukraine would have yielded a wealth of data on how drones and rockets are going to be used in next-gen warfare.
The next stage of Ukraine is going to be insurgency and counterinsurgency operations. Although there is a human tragedy element to this, but it would be very useful to also see whether Russia uses Robotics, Kamikaze drones and other such tactics to minimize liabilities while maximizing gains.
Useful to India from the perspective of what to do better in areas like Kashmir and some areas of North-East.

Majority of India's missile force is made up of Brahmos and if you want a missile which can do Anti-Air defense role then it will be Brahmos and Pralay we will be using in future conflicts rather than Nirbhay or ITCM.

These type of things are better for balakot kind of precision strikes, for which our aircrafts need not fly into enemy territory. And risking our aircrafts Or pilots.

The Russian weapons including Kalibr, airstrikes, special forces etc. have proven to very ineffectual against Ukraine, and the Russian losses have been surprisingly large. There is no precision strike because Ukrainian targets were dispersed. Russian casualties were very high because they got bogged down on roads and were easily picked off by anti-tank weapons, and they have no intelligence on the Ukrainian military positions. The weapons that have shone here are anti-tank missiles, cheap attack drones, anti aircraft missiles, and satellite and drone intelligence. Basically the nature of warfare has changed but the Russians are still fighting with WW2 weapons and tactics. India should be looking at this with regard to the Himalayas as they are using the same weapons, particularly with regard to the vulnerability of tanks, the need for drones and drone defense, and the importance of dispersal and camouflage to increase survivability of artillery and vehicles. It may be better to use cheap attack/surveilance drones, soft skinned vehicles that can be dispersed to deploy special forces infantry with anti-tank and anti tank missiles and laser designation to target assets with long range artillery or missiles rather than use heavy tanks and troop concentrations - especially in the Himalayas.

Agni 5 is an ICBM according to govt press releases. India is also working on k5 and k6 having range more than 6000km

When S5 class SSBN becomes operational i.e by 2030 or so we can strike whole china from bay of bengal or Arabian sea and can deter whole world. Land based missiles can be destroyed even before their launch and can easily be track down but SLBMs can not be that is why slbms are the safest weapon systems for this reasom Britain and france only rely on sea based deterrence
