Chip doesn't build cars. He creates art...rolling art! No one creates automotive art like Chip Foose. We are all very fortunate to live in a time along side an automotive art master like Chip! Thanks for letting us witness your creations, Mr. Foose!!!
The 57 Bel Air was always my dream car. If I had one, it would have to look exactly like this. And no different! In Germany I would be the king on the streets. Spectacular work. Praise to the whole team and stay healthy forever!
With the exception of the wheels it looks like the car wasn't even touched, and I mean that as a huge compliment to Chip and his team. The man is an artist.
I agree, the wheels are as ugly as a mud fence. I realize that the large wheels and the short sidewall tires are great for taking corners fast, but how often do you think that the new owners will drive it like a Corvette? Ha, more than likely, Never! Also, ride quality suffers exponentially! My opinion.
You guys know nothing about wheels on old cars. Must of the time people look a compete classic car with original hub caps and never say anything about the rims. If they do change the wheels and they look right,a thousand people will say they look good.
Wow Chip Foose absolutely amazing an avid fan of yours and your dad Sam Foose I love how you bring the goodness of the car out that makes a statement I loved the imposter off course brilliant idea Corvette chassis
Holly cow, it looks fantastic! My 57 Bel Air is over 95% original, the paint is dull, matte, but I don't dare to change a thing in it, I will definitely consider getting another one just to have it restored by Mr. Foose just like this one, amazing job as always.
I”ll be honest. I don’t usually like a lot of foose designs stuff, But, he knocked this one out of the park! Kept it’s originality, but upgraded everything. That’s my favorite combination..maybe He should do my Ranchero next 🤫😆
I had a 57 Bel air 2 door HT back in 1960, yep I'm older than dirt. I always loved the styling of 57"s but also thought that the convertibles looked slightly off balance. As usual after Chip and his great crew finish Any car it looks FANTASTIC> THANKS!
Chip Foose I am an admirer and have been following you since your early episodes of overhaulin, as a designer yo stand out and match my taste to every single detail, as a fabricator you are a perfectionist, nothing less than the best would make you satisfied. As a human you give kindness a new meaning so a lot of respect and admiration are coming your way from Cairo Egypt from my humble self I wish to be driving a w 113 pagoda with your signature on side panel one day and although I may never see this dream come true I can not stop hoping.... please accept my hopes for an even brighter future for yo and your team.
Chevy still builds amazing cars I own 4 Chevy's & got the privilege to ride in a 2021 stage ll yanko Camaro proven to be the moden day best all around performance musclecar...
I like what he has done - hell anything Chip touches turns to gold. That said, to take a perfect 57, all original, fully restored and to turn it into a restomod is criminal. Watching this guy, his wife and daughter's reaction was - well like hohum, its another car, so what, looks good, gee thanks, have a nice day.
I've had a love affair with the 1957 Bel Air since I was about 5. I'm a total purists, but must say that is one mind-blowing resto-mod. Typical Foose masterpiece. My dream example though? A black convertible, red/silver interior, white top, totally stock and loaded with all the important drive-train options BUT without a single cosmetic add-on except white-walls. No bumper tips of any kind (I think the original flat "gunsite" disks look perfect), spinners, skirts, con. kit, right mirror, dual antenna's, or bumper guards. Just a focus on that perfect design.
I have nothing but the highest respect for Chip Foose and his crew but in this case I think they took a rare beautifully restored car and made it into something else! Sorry but to me, a great car was forever changed and A LOT of money was needlessly spent! I realize I’m in the minority with my feelings here but I think a rare and wonderful car was lost forever!
Cobb Knobbler I disagree. This was a beautiful restored to new with NOS parts. It even had the rare 2-4BBL 283. I appreciate the upgrades and the skill and money that went into it. It is no longer, however a 1957 Chevy. It is something else. Better? Perhaps but no longer a 57 Chevy. Had they done this work to a run of the mill average car I would have no problem. What they did was unnecessary in my opinion. I am far from a purist but this one got to me,...sorry!
Simple but yet amazing team Foose . That must have seemed like a side job for you guys because you put out so much amazing goodies. Thanks for doing what you do for the people that pay and I am a big fan of Overhaulin and also . Any car designed by Foose would be a keeper for The Collector. I really want one I can beat the snot out of but I can't but great jobs guys everything you do is awesome behind a great leader
While it would have been interesting to see, if you still wanted the rim size to be bigger than 15 in, I feel white walls at that point would look awkward.
While I agree that this is an amazing customized rolling work of art, I think it's a damn shame they took apart a gorgeous original and complete 57 and left 80% of it on the shop floor. Considering the vast amount of new reproduction parts you can buy for a TriFive, they could have gotten the same result with a non running 'project car' and a stack of parts catalogs.
50 years in the future, car lovers are going to buy resto-mods and re-manufacture them to perfectly original condition. But still, they wont be real "original".
I was gasping when I saw my all time fav car on the Foose block in such great shape..... But he kept it looking almost unmolested and made it a real driver. Starting with a project car costs a ton to get it into shape. Job well done in my book.
Well guys if it was your car you would do what you want. Where these owners did what they wanted. And I'm with them. It's dam fine and if I had the check book, would do the same. To have a car with the Foose name on it, is ever better than having a Detroit original.
Chip doesn't build cars. He creates art...rolling art! No one creates automotive art like Chip Foose. We are all very fortunate to live in a time along side an automotive art master like Chip! Thanks for letting us witness your creations, Mr. Foose!!!
This man is just pure genius, everything he touches turns to brilliance.
Fantastic beautiful 57 Bel air convertible, good job,!!!
Truly one of the most beautiful 57's I've ever seen...
Now _THIS_ is pure Americana and I love it.
Would look strange driving it around London, but it's beautiful.
The 57 Bel Air was always my dream car. If I had one, it would have to look exactly like this. And no different! In Germany I would be the king on the streets.
Spectacular work. Praise to the whole team and stay healthy forever!
The entire car is gorgeous (that paint is an absolute stunner), but that engine... that engine may be the prettiest I've ever seen. WOW.
Making people’s dreams come to life. No better feeling getting what you want and a great experience having your car done by Chip and crew👍❤️🙏
Beautiful 57' Chip, I have a cobalt blue cabriolet with continental package numbers matching LS3 327 a beautiful cruiser that packs a nice punch 😉👍
With the exception of the wheels it looks like the car wasn't even touched, and I mean that as a huge compliment to Chip and his team. The man is an artist.
Exactly! They get the car and are like, "So what did you even do?"
I _love_ these subtle modifications!
I agree, the wheels are as ugly as a mud fence. I realize that the large wheels and the short sidewall tires are great for taking corners fast, but how often do you think that the new owners will drive it like a Corvette? You guys know nothing about wheels on old cars.
Must of the time people look a compete classic car with original hub caps and never say anything about the rims.
If they do change the wheels and they look right,a thousand people will say they look good.
They are the same exact rims the car had but they've been enlarged to be fitted to the proper portion of the car.
Chip you and your team will always be the best no matter what "!!
likesd they way Chip made the LS3 look like a stock 265 Chevy SB from the 57 year. excellent work.
Wow Chip Foose absolutely amazing an avid fan of yours and your dad Sam Foose I love how you bring the goodness of the car out that makes a statement I loved the imposter off course brilliant idea Corvette chassis
Fantastic job Chip
Holly cow, it looks fantastic!

Such quality work! Chip and his guys definitely do it right.
In this world true perfection does not exist, but damn if you guys don't come unbelievably close. Well done as always!
I”ll be honest. I don’t usually like a lot of foose designs stuff, But, he knocked this one out of the park! Kept it’s originality, but upgraded everything. That’s my favorite combination..maybe He should do my Ranchero next 🤫😆
Chip's artistic Eye, and mind, is a God given talent . Well done !
Chip Foose's cars are shiny, perfect,
flawless, beautiful jewels.
Wow!!!!!! Chip always kills it on each and every build
Wow! Respect for you sir ✊🏼 👍🏼

I like restomods, but I bet it was hard to tear down this nice original. Nice car, work of art.
Fantastic Chevrolet show!!👍🏻👍🏻👋🏻👋🏻
I love that they drove it away

Old mate Foose could design a toilet seat and it would look killer ... Dude is Da Man !!!
Hard to beat a day where you go and pick up your Foose designed Bel Air and the man himself takes around the block in it. Dreams I tell ya.
You guys do really good work. 😀
When money is no object, you too can have this kind of a car. Beautiful master craftsmanship.👍👍
another nice one. especially with the top down.
A 57 Chevy without white wall tires is like a jet without wings!
Exactly!
Straight, clean and crisp look takes this build to the top level. My complements to Chip and team.
You and your team really work with all your heart...really owesome !!!
That was totally RAW! Chip, without you these awesome cars wouldn't get built! Cheers!

Coolest car ever built!!!!!
Another Awesome Foose Build. Love It!!!
proof that Chevrolet used to design amazing cars.
You have it right, use to design amazing cars. Use to is the operative word.
Chevy still builds amazing cars I own 4 Chevy's & got the privilege to ride in a 2021 stage ll yanko Camaro proven to be the moden day best all around performance musclecar...

I am in ❤️❤️❤️ for the Color. Best wishes from Germany 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Love the colour. A beautiful car. Chip Foose and the team did an amazing job.
Wonderfull,wonderfull,wonderfull.
And they say money doesn't buy happiness! If I had the money to buy this I would be incredibly happy.
So beautiful and stunning.......guys....thanks for showing.....
The car is exceptional.. 😁😁😁

If I had the money, I would send my car to you guys to do everything. A guy can dream. Great video.
That engine bay is superb.
Very clean, paint job, gaps.. Foose is perfecting every thing he touches, awesome.. art on wheels ! Also Love his Show and i'm from Europe ! ;0)
I have nothing but the highest respect for Chip Foose and his crew but in this case I think they took a rare

Luuuuuvvvvv those wheels! And that engine sounds so sweet!
He is probably the best rebuilder in the entire US❤️❤️
Chip has some Hardware like "Builder of the DECADE " hanging on a wall somewhere,,,
The wheels needed to be a touch smaller. There's truly something special about white wall tires that complete an old-skool look.

Wow !This is so beautiful!
Stunning!
What craftsmanship.
If only I could afford to have Foose finish my 1967 Camaro. Would be a dream come true!
I like everything, including and especially those wheels. I think it's something new and people will need to get used to the idea.
Another Chip masterpiece!
Unbelievable... another fine project guys 🤠👍
you and your crew are the , What a job well done
Chip, do you ever mess up? Dang, you guys nailed it......again!
My favorite Foose car yet!
Beautiful car. I would have liked to see the wheels with a smaller center and faux wide white walls though.
While it would have been interesting to see, if you still wanted the rim size to be bigger than 15 in, I feel white walls at that point would look awkward.
Way to go. Looks as though it was just restored. Perfect.
I miss the TV show that Chip was doing. Very cool show..
I hear they will come back, (i saw a cool project -> a Shelby Daytona, he might do it on first episode..) i can't wait ! ;0)
While I agree that this is an amazing customized rolling work of art, I think it's a damn shame they took apart a gorgeous original and complete 57 and left 80% of it on the shop floor. You took the words right out of my mouth. Beautiful work, but a damn shame.
Well, 💵 ... 🗣👍🏽

Wow. Beautiful build. I have a 57 2 door in 1968. Not quite the ride that this is.
The exhaust system sounds perfect
Wow !!! Is an under statement. Wondering what the bill was ? It would be worth it what ever it was.
Beautiful work! Thank you for the video.
Love his style, so hard to tell what Foose has done to a car sometimes! You just know it’s better but not always why or how.
Awesome job as always Chip!
This is very eerie!! This is the same exact car I have in my next life when I actually have money!!😂😂😂😂😂
That color is amazing ! beautiful car
Just perfect in every respect. Very, very very...well done.
Como siempre, creando OBRAS DE ARTE !!!!
Those have been my dream car since then yeah a little little guy. You are cruel foose with your team. Always check your program with The A team😁

FOOSE and CREW,never fail,👏👏👏
RANGER IZZY s
Absolutely gorgeous ! ! !
