Anthony Ruggiano Jr. is a former member of the Gambino crime family, which is one of the five families of organized crime in New York City. He is the son of Anthony "Fat Andy" Ruggiano, who was also A Capo, a high-ranking member of the Gambino family. Anthony Ruggiano Jr. has been involved in various criminal activities, including extortion, loan sharking, and racketeering. However, it is important to note that engaging in criminal activities is illegal and not condoned by any reputable organization or individual.
Albert Anastasia, born on September 26, 1902, was a prominent figure in organized crime during the early 20th century. He gained notoriety for his involvement in various criminal activities, particularly as a key member of the Italian-American Mafia. Anastasia's rise to fame can be attributed to several factors that set him apart from his contemporaries.
One of the main reasons for Anastasia's fame was his reputation as a feared and ruthless enforcer. Known for his imposing physical presence and icy demeanor, he became the head of the notorious Murder, Inc., a group of hitmen responsible for carrying out contract killings on behalf of the Mafia. His ability to eliminate rivals and maintain control over his criminal enterprises cemented his status as a feared and respected figure within the underworld.
Anastasia's notoriety also stemmed from his involvement in the New York City waterfront labor unions. Through coercion and intimidation, he gained control over these unions, effectively establishing a monopoly over the lucrative waterfront operations. This allowed him to amass significant wealth and power, further enhancing his reputation.
Furthermore, Anastasia's involvement in high-profile criminal cases and his ability to evade conviction added to his fame. Despite being a primary suspect in numerous murders, he managed to evade justice for much of his criminal career. This ability to operate with apparent impunity only served to increase his mystique and notoriety.
Beyond his criminal exploits, Anastasia also captured public attention due to his extravagant lifestyle. He was known for his love of luxury cars, expensive clothing, and lavish homes. These displays of wealth and ostentation only added to his larger-than-life persona and made him a figure of fascination for many. - Розваги
Can’t say this enough…this is my best mob channel 👍🏽
I don't understand why it bothers people when you say your father, people will find anything to complain about. You should keep saying your father since he was your father.
If I thought he was some daddy's boy, I wouldn't even watch this show. There's very few people on Earth that can offer information from his perspective in this genre!! Most are dead or they don't have immunity!!
Hey Anthony, when John Stanfa was boss of Philly, when they made Joey shoe shine Merlino, was that a bogus making ceremony or was that the real deal ? Because if it was bogus he can RAT all he wants without any backlash. WHAT DO YOU THINK ANTHONY WAITING ON YOUR ANSWER ALL RIGHT PAISANO❤😅
@@joemazza1652 it was bogus to keep him close & always on call in case he wanted to kill skinny joey. Making a attempt to keep his friends close but his enemies closer imo
People are jealous and spiteful, especially these days.. lots of venom inside. Any one of these clowns would have DREAMED to just know a person like Andy, let alone have him as a father. What the hell, you don't think they would be proud of their father regardless of his life and talk about him? I'm really getting sick of this troll community/society today....
congratulations Anthony on your success. The honesty and integrity you personify, shines through to 99 percent of your audience
I think if you want to say your FATHER, you can, since he was your FATHER. Respect from New Hampshire.
EXACTLY! Who the hell on here was complaining about him calling his father, well, his FATHER!? People are so ridiculous and petty these days. If you ask me, it sounds odd for him to call his own dad "Fat Andy."
@ibrown3KC I think he can call his FATHER his FATHER. If some people don't like that... too bad in my opinion.
@mikej3584 that was my point, too. I thought it was ridiculous people wanted him to call his own father Fat Andy. I don't know why you're getting on me about that.
@@mikej3584 Did you not realize I was totally agreeing with your initial pos?
It's amazing how and nearly impossible to watch a sporting event without the betting being advertised. Yes, the smoke too (cannabis) being legal depending on where you're at is pretty wild. The MLB should let Pete Rose into the Hall of Fame for sure. Keep up the great work Anthony!
I wish there was a series made about your father. It would be great. Like the sopranos but with Fat Andy and Tony Lee.
Me too we are working on it
@@AnthonyRuggianowho would play your father?
@@AnthonyRuggianoit’s your podcast you say my father or whatever you want to say. If they don’t like it. Well they can lump it 😊
@@AnthonyRuggianohow many brothers did Tommy have and any still alive?
@@AnthonyRuggiano what year did Tony Lee get made?
Great stuff, thank you so much for sharing this.
You successfully turned your life around and now give back, like you say you have to own your mistakes. I think you're awesome, love your podcasts, your honesty and sense of humour ❤❤
“But me they put me in Jail….” You have every right to have sour grapes 😂
I wasn't against gambling until it was legalized.
Hey man I always thoroughly enjoy anything about your father.
Your podcast is the best of them all, hands down. You’re totally believable. Very enjoyable. Keep it going!
Hi Anthony. This Vinny Rotondo. Jimmy Rotondo s youngest son. I met your father a few times. A real deal guy. You're show is good I enjoy it. Good luck
It's refreshing have a few honest people in this genre. You are up there with Mikey/RJ and Nadu. Keep up the good work. Happy New Year to you and yours.
Have a happy new year Anthony
Thankyou Anthony and have a great new year. All the best for you in 2024.
Wonderful show Andy!!! I love your content... Keep up the good work and positivity brother.
I love to hear East New York! My birth place and lived there until I was 24. I had to go… best decision I’ve ever made.
Awesome Anthony...for 2024 a happy New Year...keep it UP!👍 greeting from the Netherlands
This was a hell of a great upload
Happy New Year
Finally getting some sponsorship well done anthony 🙏🏻
Great achievement being sober. That was the key to you becoming who you are today. God Bless you.

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas Anthony.
Thanks!
Thank you! @jaquelinemoore2998
Respectfully Anthony, Let those people figure it out. You can't hold everybody's hand.
Right on Anthony!!👍🏻
Great show
Thank you Jeff
@@AnthonyRuggianogreat channel. Can you do a video on Dominick Scialo
Didn't know much about your father before you came to the genre ❤️ your content keep it coming big guy!
I wondered: Are there still people in prison convicted for organizing gambling/betting while that is legal now?
@@anthonydelgrosso4818 yes thats crazy, i understood that too. In states where thc cannabis is legal now?
Love this story about your father , great episode
I think that its very cool that in the elegant picture behind you , (which I assume is your parents ) the father has a smoke in his hand . Never seen that before in a family pic ,ever .
Great episode Anthony. Its incredible that your father was made in the 50s. Frank locasio was also made in the 50s they must have been exceptionally ruthless to be made so young. Did you personally know or hear any stories about sonny ciccone? He ran the waterfront for the gambino family. Also do you have any pictures or stories about your brother albert? Great episode god bless 🙏🙌🏼
Enjoy watching the show.
I really like when you say your father. He was and regardless of everything you clearly loved him. That's real stuff. Haters gonna hate.
U don’t need fake friends.
Need a book on fat Andy & Anthony
Forget the haters / detractors. Keep up the good work.
Anthoney . Great Show
That is so screwed up that its all ok now Gambling lol ... No it's Ok to bet Lol its ok . the Government makes the profit like you said Anthony unbelievable
Hey Anthony great show!!! Now I agree with you with the government making the money on legalized betting however when ( as I did way back too) book-make illegally no taxes are paid. Even if we wanted to set it up legally of course we couldn't anyway. The other thing how can anyone get a book making charge if after say each call you say ok I'll go to the track and put your bet in for you. You can say if they win they give me a few dollars for running the bet. Unless you have a huge book you could kinda use it as a cover.
Another great show with historical information about Fat Andy and his life.
I Flip my Cool when I see viewer’s making unfair and an inaccurate statements about Fat Andy.
People trying to play Big Man by popping off at the keyboard.
Anthony is a credible source and I can’t say it enough how I look forward to an authentic Podcast.
Happy New Year Anthony!!!
I got a question for you. When Carlo Gambino became boss in 1957 who was his first underboss? Happy New Year from London 🇬🇧🥃

Great video.
Anthony,
May you share the link to Sports Betting? Grazie
?
Hey Anthony, what does it mean when you say your father "serviced" Bobby DeSimone? Does it mean Bobby was with your father which would then give Bobby protection? Good show.
Hèy Anthony hope you're well your d
Father sounded like a a feared man and a stand up guy and it's cool you're keeping his legend alive along with the heavyweights you speak of with fond memories all the best from Tony Geordie Newcastle upon Tyne keep the legend alive man
Did you dad ever get to go inside Albert Anastasia house ???
Another great show Anthony. Would you happen to know who conducted your father’s ceremony or who was there ?
It seems that Nicky and Lenny were the two guys that your dad respected enough to propose. were they good guys? Did you get along with them?
how do you make fat andy a captain and not tony lee . its seems complicated to have one under the other .i guess if their egos werent a problem then it doesn't matter.
Andy. I think you should do a piece on my father Vincent Jimmy Rotndo

I love your content brother and I am an ex knucklehead who has been blessed to grow and be better. I love your content and I think you have a lot of valuable wisdom. But that comment about the illegal immigrants was extremely inconsiderate and with all due respect ignorant. It would make more sense to say they are taking that money to support countries committing genocide like Israel. God bless and keep growing. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
People make tough choices in life id say you did what you thought you had to do and it's a good choice all the best for the new year
I’m bitter for you
I wonder if your father knew Lepke
do you think your father was doing work all over the. country . how else would he know so many people in different cities.
Any stories about your uncle Mo Black?
Mo black = fictitious character
I wonder if Joe paterno was mad they sent for fat Andy and not him. Or did Joe paterno have his own things to worry about so he was happy fat Andy took care of it.
Now that you are on the other side and you say that your father was a gangster then you should be brave enough to blame him about the way that he raised you to be a criminal, ( I remember a story you told about him punching your school principal ) then you can be mad at him and forgive him, then the burden you have of him being mad at you will disappear.
Wht did they call him fat andy was he fat? From what i see in pics he wasnt that fat at all to be called fat just curious
And im not being rude
Do you think Florida still has an active independent family?
Just like a good devoted FBI agent does his job 100%. That is how your father Fat Andy. - original gangster “ was ! 100%
He came from an era of original gangsters like Sunny Franceze. not wannabes !
🤷🏻♂️👍🙂🙋🏻♂️
Sir! With a due respect. You should probably keep your politics to yourself. To begin with many of your, not all but many of your political views are based on misinformation and ignorance. With that said I really like your channel and agree with many of the things you say.
Specifically what misinformation are you referring to?
