Bonfire Party in Zhangjiajie, China

This video shows scenes from the nightly Bonfire Party at the tourist attraction in the city of Zhangjiajie known as the 72-storey Tujia Stilted House (sometimes 72 Qilou).
The bonfire party was just one aspect of a popular attraction that is fun to visit and designed to offer something to people of all ages.
As I discovered while travelling as a guest of Wendy Wu Tours (during the Wendy Wu Tours China Mega Fam 2024), China has much to offer international travellers beyond its best known cities and landmarks. This place was lots of fun and a little surreal, as it opened as recently as last year in a vast complex inspired by the stilted archi #zhangjiajie tecture of the Tujia ethnic minority.
Partly a monumental building, partly like a theme park, it is an enjoyable place to wander around in a region of outstanding natural beauty. The bonfire party involves visitors and left people with a smile on their faces.
