Still waiting for a selective memory modifier. Inventors, where you at? Haha. Being a noob in Minecraft was such a good time for most players, and yet the toxic part of the community likes to use "noob" as an insult. We, mostly as a community, wish we were again, and if you are, that's a good thing, and enjoy that while it lasts.
This is why I play minecraft again every two updates or so and looking at all the new stuff to get that little feeling of ignorance like I used to have.
The year is 2012. I was twelve years old. My cousin and I played Minecraft every day after school, talking over Skype because he lives in the next state over. That’s when I got into orchestrations of my favorite games’ music, like Terraria. I compiled a playlist of over 100 orchestral or cool-sounding versions of video game songs, many coming from Synthetic Orchestra. I would listen to it, ever day, as we played around on this little server called The Fun of Crafting, and on there, I met some of the only friends I’d ever had. There was: Mason, druggie and generally funny guy Jack, depressing but practical fellow Keys, the owner and ambitious coder HeyMan, another owner Camo, one of my closest friends and co-faction leader. Kammy, a weird guy who always made us smile Lila, the best admin, always making memes, before they were really called that Bumble, owner and the butt of many Irishman potato jokes Goat, just an overall great guy Dylan, a faction co-leader of mine and funny guy Kyle, always arguing with me or Jack, but always quick to resolve them Gman, an amazing builder, but quiet guy. DementdDolphin, a sober manager, who refused to be hugged Fresh, who was kind enough to teach how to play LoL Teag, a great leader and stand-up guy Chilly, my cousin and manager on the server And myself, always getting into trouble. I wasn’t called Ducc, but a slew of them after we gained the ability to change our names. Including pikapunch64, PikaPunch, Soap, Nylight, and Pxlbyt. I was autoplaying through Blake’s work here, and this song came up. I actually cried. I miss those days so much. All of us stopped playing Minecraft together. It was almost instantaneous, I log on one day, and only Chilly’s there. That and a whole slew of unfamiliar faces, all acting like little children. I suppose I was a child (14 at this point), but it still felt jarring. I picked up more competitive games like CSGO and have hardly touched Minecraft since. TFoC Crew, if any of you ever read this, I miss you guys. Blake, if you happen to read comments on an almost 6 year-old video, thank you providing such a great soundtrack for years of playing a truly wonderful game. And to you, reading this, thanks. Thank you for reading the depressing story of an 18 year-old crying over a pixelated, blocky, indie survival game.
I remember my first world... I was caving out a mountain for my house and didn't use any torches, but I couldn't understand why so many monsters were getting in. Then the creepers that blew up created a hole in the celing, allowing for more to drop through at night.
That happened to me. I couldn't even find the trees to make a pickaxe or a shelter. I didn't play that world for a while. One day, I decided I would play it one more time before deleting it, since it was my first world. It was daytime, so I figured I could look for trees again. To my luck, I found a dessert biome with a Taiga biome behind it. I lived in the dessert, got trees from the Taiga, and before you know it, I have diamond armour.
It's a good thing this version isn't in the game; when it played I would freeze, my hands lifted off the keyboard, unable to move or dare to disturb the sound. The day would go by, and fall to night, and a creeper would come and blow me up.
Well the music is good to do over world tasks such as building or chopping trees. But caves and the nether turn off the music. It's nice to enjoy after a stressful night of fighting off horses of mobs.
Reminds me back in beta (right after nether was added) when just the game, un-modded on our vanilla server always had the same 30 people on it every day. Best community gaming experience ever. This was a simpler time, when entertainment was watching the sun set across the ocean through the glass block windows of your cobblestone house on the sand. Now it seems every server is minigames full of whining children, and paying for packages with their parents credit cards.
HelloWorldGaming (Abandoned) are there any of the good ol minecraft like servers, guys??? Where we can be away from the hell that is Microsoft taking over minecraft??? I missed the good ol notch days... I only noticed people like squeakers when it landed into Microsoft clutches...no offense micrpsoft, love your games...but you kinda ruined minecraft... - Have a nice day / night everyone :D! ! !
to be honest, i wish there is a server or a something that players can just build (not like creative). like we start in a town and other players build their houses. not like mansions or fortress, just a house. and then start out by mining or farming or chopping wood. where players trade with other people and say hello and goodbye to them. as night comes, they either stay up and finish their work or maybe make a simple balcony and watch the sun goes up or down and enjoy of what minecraft has. i wish this happens because we will see minecraft cease to exist, no friends to play, no buildings to share and no other life to enjoy. so if you see this enjoy minecraft while it is happening, and make this year the greatest year ever.
+Nicholas Slaughter mysunland has a beautiful community of both creative and kind players :) i honestly have never liked servers because they all felt so limited. this is tbh the first server i ever played on that really felt free. survival world as well as creative portal. you can get together with other players to build communities just as it has happen many times before i would love to see you come on and meet the others ^_^ - Admin 2Low mysunland(.)org
We want old minecraft back, I know the Launcher stuff and that, but I mean the old community, the people that actually cared about the game, like me...
playing with my sister and cousins all the time building the biggest structures ive seen in person like space shuttles and ships while my sister and one of our cousins allways just built statues of girls good times, also it was in the WII U so there was the battle mode, oh the nostalgia is hurting my brain
Ah, the days of good minecraft, BETA minecraft, everything before the adventure update, no hunger, no sprinting, no pvp crap, just building and fun, and peace.
Ashley Washinton Dude you need an iron sword to 3-shot the creeper, plus, including critical damage. To get iron just dig down to diamond level, by the time you get to diamond level you'll have already found plenty of iron, then use the sword and build a house with a bit of stone, whatever your fancy, and boom now you can 3 shot creepers like a badass or you get even get diamond sword within 3 days, y=12 and a few blocks around that and again... easy shit. With a diamond sword you don't need to do critical damage
If I could have three wishes, one of them would be this: To be able to forget, at will, everything I know about Minecraft, that way I could do all of it again. Re-explore, re-craft, re-mine, and most importantly, rediscover. That feeling of discovery, of the unknown, is what we all remember so fondly. And unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to bring that feeling back. You can go back into Minecraft development as far as you want, but it will never feel the same. For once in my life, I want to be a noob again, so to speak. I just want to do it all again. Do it all again... Cherish your memories, my friends, for without you, they no longer exist. With out you, the golden age of Minecraft no longer exists. With out you, no game will ever be as beautiful as Minecraft once was.
I will never forget how sad I was when I accidentally deleted my first ever Minecraft world... I was trying to install all sorts of stupid mods cause I was a dumb 12 year old and I unknowingly deleted my saves folder.... I can still picture the world in my head now though, every bit of it...
My first minecraft world... Oooohhh the memories.... I was a complete and total noob. I had no idea what ANYTHING was. Heck with it I was petrified of fear of a skeleton I found while mining. It shot me to death while I was like AGGHHH!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!!! PLEASE!!!! That computer broke down... I got another one. But it just wasn't the same. I got the game 1.4.1. release. once 1.6 came out I decided to use the new launcher to go "Back In Time" to the days of the far lands. I turned the game to peaceful (Because I didn't feel like dying while questing for the farlands) mined a bit, and I went on my way. That computer broke too. I'm on another computer now. I make Minecraft animations and music. And sometimes, A mod or two. I still remember my first survival world... I wish I could get it back :(
"Wow we finally found that Woodland Mansion!" "Yeah!" "Okay tomorrow let's make it our base!!" "Good idea! Then we can find the ocean temple!" "See you tomorrow!" "See you." *Last online 4 years ago*
***** To be realistic, calling them "faggots" doesn't make you much better than them. Why have such hateful words in the comment section of such a serene music? That is bordering hypocritical.
nostalgia is unreal... i remember when my brother and i first downloaded minecraft a few years back, and we were so damn excited. everything was new, minecraft was a completely new universe. that first world, i remember every block of it, every thing he and i built, every mine, every encounter. the first time finding coal, or discovering that you can make tools out of stone. first time seeing a zombie, first time finding diamond. first time seeing an endermen and having our heart rates shoot up. first redstone build, first village, first creeper explosion. and oh my, that first nooby ass 5x5 house with about 20 floors of 2 blocks high. oh man i wish we didnt accidentally delete that world (':
I think this song takes us all back to our first Minecraft adventures. In my case, I was building a really small shelter in the snowy forest with no door, and no light, so I built a skylight by breaking some of the blocks in the ceiling, staring at the undersides of spiders. As dumb as that sounds, it's just one of those memories that is personal to me and warms my heart *tear*
I remember some early endeavors of mine include getting scared out of my skull by ambient noises. I was seriously afraid Herobrine was coming for my soul. Other early memories...Planting saplings on tilled dirt, getting lost in a ravine and setting up a new home only to find my old one a few chunks away, making the worlds largest sheep pen complete with tunnels and bridges...Oh, I could go on for hours...
Do you guys remember? Do you remember being proud of that tall rectangular box we called a home? Do you remember playing with your friends, some we never saw again? Do you remember being a kid? I think we all do and it’s over... It’s okay though, we can make new memories to remember.
I first joined the minecraft community in 2012 and was immediately captivated by the game and everything in it. I only and still only have ever played pocket edition but I will never forget all those memories of building cities and surviving the nights with all the friends I had back then. I used to play it everyday, non-stop. There was just too much to do...Over time I stopped playing as much and by 2018 had practically stopped altogether until this year. When minecraft came back to popularity, I joined it and now I still play it. This game is one of the greatest ever made (another being a Terraria) and it will always have a place in my heart. Thank you for mojang, giving us this fantastic game. Thank you my old friends, for giving me amazing memories. Thank you everyone reading this, for reading my story.
Looking back on when times were simpler and when life was easier can feel overwhelming when you realise you can never truly recreate those moments. But that’s what makes them special. And while you may not be able to relive those same experiences, you’ll have new ones to be happy about, too. Remember, you didn’t know you’d end up looking back on the earlier days of Minecraft when they were today. Nobody makes memories by trying to do so. So while it can be nice to reminisce, don’t forget that today and tomorrow are just as full of opportunities waiting to become experiences.
When minecraft is Falling but other games try to make it rise but they can't till this song comes on and makes minecraft Rise again and let it be in the light
2011. I still just a kid. My new friend introduced me to this game. On my dad's crappy laptop I played for hours and hours. The palms of my hands wore the paint away from the computer. My first world, home in a small spire, my hotel in a winter wonderland, my island of discos and man made floating islands. So many fond memories of such an amazing but simplistic game. This is a beautiful track and it is impossible to listen to Swedens melodic symphony without being nostalgic and shedding tears upon tears of a time in my life that was simple and care free. I could build and explore what ever I wanted with no worries in my life. I am so thankful to have been alive to see the birth of this game..
Ah, this reminds me of when I first got Minecraft. I remember friends of mine talking about it in school, I bought it and well, I loved it! I espacially got memories of the Xbox version, mostly because my friends and I could not make servers to work and at the time realms were not a thing so we played on split screen on the xBox version. I really love stuff like that! While I am very supportive about the evolution of Minecraft, there is a little bad thing about games like Minecraft, the console versions mostly. You see, if you got nostalgic feels for lets say, Ocarina of Time. Then you can easily find your old copy and play it, simple as that. But its not as easy to do that with the console version of Minecraft. Sure I can go to earlier updates on the PC version, but then I wont get those nostalgic feels, why? Well because my nostalgic feels as a 14 year old are connected to the earlier updates of the Xbox version of Minecraft. My best memories of my friends that are long gone now were us sitting and playing the xbox version of Minecraft back when squids could fly when it was raining and you could push people out of their beds when they were sleeping.
The Year Was 2013, i was 4 years old When i First Played MINECRAFT. I Always Watched YOutube VIdeos About THis Game, I Remember When The Game Finaly loaded up... the first house i've ever built was a simple 4x4 blue wool house, pretty simple for the time i've spawaned right next to a village, i was really really happy about that! it was my first time playing minecraft, and i thought, "waht if i show this to my dad?" i showed it to him and he hugged me.
remember the good times?..the good alpha and beta...the wonderful sense of discovery, adventure? The beautiful creative thoughts we can possibly build with simple blocks, that feeling is what i miss. no pros and mods...just that feeling of nostalgia when your firstly new and take one big deep look around in your randomly generated world waiting to be explored or create right at our fingertips. it's something I miss, ya know?..
Sometimes I like to think back when I first started playing Minecraft not knowing anything, Being terrified of the night and what it held, Waiting for morning to Explore, Learn, And create. Now you are a Minecraft Expert, Knowing everything you need to know about the game, the sun is setting and it is night time not a tad bit scared, Because you know what will come, as you are prepared, having that feeling of Wanting to start over from scratch and experience everything again, Learn again, And be frightened again. But also you are grateful you know what you know..
Year is 2014. Mid-modern MC age. I would go with my mom at work every day on my summer vacation to be able to play MCPE Online. I would have the most fun and the highest of happiness just tapping on my tablet, talking to my one friend. Mikee, if you ever see this, thank you for the memories. And I'm sorry for not returning.
A lone survivor. In an ancient land full of beauty and danger. A place of light. A place of darkness. Resources that can help thrive. Resources to let you survive. A lone survivor, whom accepts every challenge. A lone survivor, who isn't alone at first.
Back than we didn't even realised that we were making Memory. I rememder my 7 Year old me, watching my older brother playing minecraft, with my older cousin. That's how i memorised all of the crafting recepies. But I couldn'd play with them because I was too scared of the monsters. xD
Ah, another beautiful song. It makes me feel like I'm fishing on a River biome near a farm and small wooden shack, as the sheep are grazing and the iron is smelting. That's what happened on my favorite server before it changed maps.
I feel like I’ve made the most emotional and exciting trip ever and now have to return to my boring home while trying to hold back my tears. I guess they call this trip childhood.
Minecraft will always have a place in my heart reserved just for it, and it will never leave, even after death. No matter how many updates and changes it has, it will still be the best game I've ever played.
It is now 2019 I’ve picked up mine craft again looking back so much has changed I met a lot of people and had so much fun I started playing in 2012 and I miss those days when I would hop on Skype and call my friends and talk for a while now looking back I took way to much for granted
I remember those late summer nights I would spend with my friend playing this game, he would pass out, I would continue playing and stop just to listen to this song, it was so comforting, I loved it. Though ever since I moved we ended up drifting apart. Sometimes I wish I could go back, back to that moment, feel that feeling again. Relive the good time when I never realised that it was a good time.
I do miss the old days of Minecraft. Minecraft is still a great game, but with all these mean people and just playing on servers, I feel like people are not getting their creative minds to the test of Minecraft. I asked people on a survival games "don't we want to go back to old days of Minecraft" and the one guy went up to me and said "No one cares noob!!!". In the game I went for him for hurting my feelings. But if we take a break from servers and go to single player mode, we can bring the creative and imagination back to Minecraft. Maybe we can bring the old days of a childhood on Minecraft back!
I've been playing this game for years, all of those years were in singleplayer. Don't get me wrong though, I do get a lot of nostalgia. Remember those old yogscast videos?
*when minecraft gets its last update* Terraria: it's time to go, Minecraft. Minecraft: but, i- Terraria: shh, I felt the same way, but our mission is over. Our days are over. Minecraft: ... Terraria: come now, join us. Join your old friends. Minecraft: wait.. I need to say something first. *Minecraft to hytale* Minecraft: hey kid. Hytale: hey there! Are we going on any adven- Minecraft, tear in eye: no kid. No adventures today. I need to give you something. Hytale: wha-? *Minecraft hands title of best game to hytale* Hytale: i-you- I'm not ready! Minecraft: I know, I know, but it's time for me to go. Hytale, crying: no! No you can't go! You can't leave me here! I cant- Minecraft: hey, hey, it'll be alright. Hytale: *sniff* Minecraft: I'll always be looking after you... I know you can do this. Thank you hytale, Goodbye. *Minecraft walks over to terraria, now quietly sobbing, and hugs him* Minecraft: it's good to have you back, buddy. Terraria:I know, I know. *Minecraft walks over to a glowing light, now reunited with former rivals and long past friends. He walks towards a spot near Roblox, terraria, and, surprisingly, fortnite, looking down in shame* Minecraft: hey, it's okay. You made people happy. You made memories. You brought happiness. And in the end, that's what being a game is about, right? *The doorway of childhood memories closes, ending Minecraft's tale*
One thing I loved to do was just starting up a tutorial world (specifically the castle one) and just exit it and rejoin in creative mode. Ultimately, an aspect about reality is whenever we grow older the reason we look back so fondly is because we can't recreate it. No matter what you do It won't feel the same. That's part of aging. We will never have that mindset we had back in our early years as a one digit kid doing random shit in there favorite games,l. Playing Halo reach and just fucking around or attempting to build that city with your friends. Or in my case seeing my brother build a city with his friends. That's what makes life special.
Nostalgia feelings all over in our minds. I started to play MC since Beta 1.4_01. The fanbase of this game was so quiet and peaceful. Do you all remember Yogcast?. The UA-cam channel that was focused on playing Minecraft, and now, it's gone. Do y'all remember that you had no plan to build a house at top surface, but make an underground home? The world generating code used to be so amazing and beautiful... Steep cliffs, floating islands, and high mountains... If you found those, build a house on it... Before creative mode added, TooManyItems and Singleplayer Commands were only our friends which can give us more time to let out our creativity minds. Now, Minecraft is now hugely overrated, becoming one of the most selling video games. So many rude kids screaming and swearing, also they secretly stole their parents' credit card just for Resoure Packs... And autistic kids thinking Herobrine is real. So many kids pretending that they banged our mothers. Also there's a man we've never forget, Markus 'Notch' Persson... He made us happy... until he gave his creator position away to Jeb. Minecraft is supposed to be a survive-and-build game, not one game with bunch of minigame servers. (If my English is bad, excuse me 😁.)
I just started crying... the beauty of the music combined with all the memories i have from discovering minecraft... it's just... i don't even have a fitting word :,)
I started with Pocket Edition, then XBox 360, and then finally PC. My friend(s) play it, my siblings play it, my heroes play it. Minecraft is genuinely beautiful.
This game, this masterpiece of a game, changed my life. It brought me friends whom I dearly love, it brought me love and care for the smaller things than just games. I'm almost facing depression and this song wants me to go back to my birthday. The day I got minecraft.
Back when minecraft wasn't populated almost entirely of squeakers... There was peace. There was this. There was freedom. There was adventure. Ah... the good ol' days... *singular tear runs down face*
Infinite Nexus Back then you hit the doors to open them and a script slowly erased the blocks which you marked as a door and put them together afterwards, there was no health bar, not to talk about any eat bar. There were no zombies, the level was limited, no torches but glass, if you wanted light inside your house you needed to build windows, lava couldn't hurt you, no Redstone circuits, no CRAFTing (as in Mine-CRAFT). AAAAAAND best of it. You had a server browser.
Ax Boi (insert agreement and my own experience of my first few times I played which would be a long ass comment that you might find here I told another comment) (Now I set your comment on how I talk to much) (Insert hate because I am a brony)(now that you've hated possibly insert my laughter and a comment on how I don't give a fuck.) (Insert hashtags) (Insert overused youtube shit you see all over youtube) (Insert apology comment and laugh because I'm making bad jokes) (Insertnsertnsert) (Insert that thing I put at the end of most of my comments saying have a good day and night "this down here"V) - Have a nice day / night everyone :D! ! !
(insert nonsensical hate comment against bronies for no apparent reason) (insert brony threatening to kill previous poster while preaching _"love and tolerate"_) (insert non-brony pointing out the previously-mentioned fallacy while telling brony to kill theirselves) (insert brony commenting about how they're going to not reply because they've "won" the argument) (insert comment about the brony just saying they've won to delude theirself) (insert firing the exact same comment back at them) (insert pointing out that brony said they wouldn't reply) (insert brony blocking non-brony and thread being dead for the next month)
Ax Boi XD I don't know what bronies you've seen but they can't call them selves bronies if they are assholes like that XD... but what ever, those kind of people are everywhere so it's not like it's uncommon even in the brony community. The bronies I know would help you with problems like when I was in a deep depression... Thats why I'm a brony... Because I want to help others like they helped me, and make friends, and help those that have enemies be friends with their enemies... I've helped...few...it's hard for me but I've done some good... Hey...atleast your only going with the chain joke XD!!! So your good In my book... (Insert three sentences thanking you for being nice) (Insert my ussual ending thing this thing down here \/) - Have a nice day / night everyone :D! ! !
Kiero Vance™ *_TL;DR WARNING - LONG COMMENT IS LOOOOOOOOOONG_* Don't get me wrong here, but bronies don't have to be kind people. The definition of "brony" is, as far as I remember, "a teenage or adult fan of the TV show My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic", and while it seems ironic for bronies to be douches, it doesn't make them _not_ bronies. *However*, I did a bit of research on this, and found out that most bitchy bronies have never watched a single episode of the show, or if they have, they only watched a few, or stopped watching long ago. Your hypothesis may actually be more accurate than you think, even if it's not the dictionary definition. The reason MLP:FiM is so notorious for being filled with devout worshippers of the *_Almighty Overlord Faust_* is because it's just such a damn big fandom, and more fans equals more weirdos. In reality, the FiM fandom likely has less creeps per normal person (or C/NP) than, say, the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom. You can take my word for that one, because I've been part of both, and I can't even look through my library of Xbox 360 games without being reminded of a *three-year-long flame war* on Tails/Cream v.s. Tails/Cosmo. Cosmo's a freaking _plant_. I have come to three conclusions: 1) Bronies who watch MLP:FiM tend to be nice people. 2) Bronies who don't watch MLP:FiM tend to be assholes. 3) Kitsunes are into flowers, apparently. We'll never know, since said flower took a giant laser beam to the face to save the universe or something. Then again, his alternative's a _rabbit_. He should be eating rabbits, not pulling their (disturbingly small) panties down. Besides, the phrase is "mating _like_ rabbits", not "mating _with_ rabbits". _~ Your friendly neighbourhood Ax Boi_
i would have to say this is one of my favorites by you, the original was so soothing as it was but this just adds so much depth to it, the strings really carry you away, absolutely superb work
Here's an idea for Mojang, SERVER SUPPORT FOR OLDER VERSIONS. All the veterans could play mine craft alpha/beta together. We need to have the old community back.
To all the veterans out there: I get that you're nostalgic. Hell, I am too, I've been playing this thing for five years. But still... Do shut up. It's fine to be nostalgic, but homogenizing the modern minecrafter as a whining 10 year old won't help anything. There are plenty of not-whiny-idiots out there who do genuinely enjoy minecraft as a single player survival experience, it's just that they're somewhat drowned out. As vets, you want the game to continue to succeed, and you won't do that by being hostile to the next generation of players.
Luma the WhiteWolf thanks. I just think that sometimes people decrying a fanbase as a certain demographic need to take a closer look at the fanbase they're slamming.
This makes me remember the days when I was 6 when Mine craft wasn't spoken as much, you had to be PRO to even have 1 diamond and T-Shirts were as rare as killing a enderman with your bare fists, oh the days, and everyone wasn't calling themselves pro, nobody whined about them having diamonds oh |3 .
Your work is amazing, I've been enjoyed this amazing orchestrations. Thanks for share it with us, you are a great musician, not just a remixer or remaker. We are waiting for more ;)
I need to tell ya something guys. Minecraft is much better now, same like WoW or Risen. I hate when people say "omg it's shit now why did you do taht to tthat awsome game omg!", just stop. Minecraft is an amazing game for now, I don't play it for now (atleast not often) but when I check for some news, it's awesome! New End? New mechanics? Guys, you clean your eyes and look at this in a different way.
I was never a minecraft "veteran" I am only 13 and i have watched so many people play it on the early days of alpha. Last year I bought it and whenever the music "Minecraft" or "mutation" comes on I become so silent and continue on my redstone or mine for more diamonds or just build my castle in creative
the best way i can say it is this; ever since notch sold the game, it isnt minecraft. its just minecraft microsoft edition to people like me, and it feels disgusting.
I want to be a noob again
Still waiting for a selective memory modifier. Inventors, where you at? Haha.
Being a noob in Minecraft was such a good time for most players, and yet the toxic part of the community likes to use "noob" as an insult. We, mostly as a community, wish we were again, and if you are, that's a good thing, and enjoy that while it lasts.
This is why I play minecraft again every two updates or so and looking at all the new stuff to get that little feeling of ignorance like I used to have.
Then, Go ahead.
Uhhhhhhh...................OK
I want to forget about Minecraft and then play it all over again
The year is 2012. I was twelve years old. My cousin and I played Minecraft every day after school, talking over Skype because he lives in the next state over. That’s when I got into orchestrations of my favorite games’ music, like Terraria. I compiled a playlist of over 100 orchestral or cool-sounding versions of video game songs, many coming from Synthetic Orchestra. I would listen to it, ever day, as we played around on this little server called The Fun of Crafting, and on there, I met some of the only friends I’d ever had. There was:
Mason, druggie and generally funny guy
Jack, depressing but practical fellow
Keys, the owner and ambitious coder
HeyMan, another owner
Camo, one of my closest friends and co-faction leader.
Kammy, a weird guy who always made us smile
Lila, the best admin, always making memes, before they were really called that
Bumble, owner and the butt of many Irishman potato jokes
Goat, just an overall great guy
Dylan, a faction co-leader of mine and funny guy
Kyle, always arguing with me or Jack, but always quick to resolve them
Gman, an amazing builder, but quiet guy.
DementdDolphin, a sober manager, who refused to be hugged
Fresh, who was kind enough to teach how to play LoL
Teag, a great leader and stand-up guy
Chilly, my cousin and manager on the server
And myself, always getting into trouble.
Cheers mate the nostalgia doesn't always hit, but when it does... 😭😭
😭😭😭😭😭😭
childhood, 2013-2016.
I played on that server....... ;O
And That's The Power Of Gaming
This reminds me of my first Minecraft World I had... Later I figured out that it was the most unlucky world ever... But I cherished it.
I know I had a dirt tower mixed in with sand that blew up every night....
eli rus
I can't help but laugh XD
I remember my first world... I was caving out a mountain for my house and didn't use any torches, but I couldn't understand why so many monsters were getting in. Then the creepers that blew up created a hole in the celing, allowing for more to drop through at night.
That happened to me. I couldn't even find the trees to make a pickaxe or a shelter. I didn't play that world for a while. One day, I decided I would play it one more time before deleting it, since it was my first world. It was daytime, so I figured I could look for trees again. To my luck, I found a dessert biome with a Taiga biome behind it. I lived in the dessert, got trees from the Taiga, and before you know it, I have diamond armour.
i play tf2 holy shit
It's a good thing this version isn't in the game; when it played I would freeze, my hands lifted off the keyboard, unable to move or dare to disturb the sound.
The day would go by, and fall to night, and a creeper would come and blow me up.
+Yonkage Friendship Is STUFF STUFF derp
Yonkage just turn off ingame sounds, I do that if the regular Sweden is on XD
Well the music is good to do over world tasks such as building or chopping trees. But caves and the nether turn off the music. It's nice to enjoy after a stressful night of fighting off horses of mobs.
Reminds me back in beta (right after nether was added) when just the game, un-modded on our vanilla server always had the same 30 people on it every day. Best community gaming experience ever. This was a simpler time, when entertainment was watching the sun set across the ocean through the glass block windows of your cobblestone house on the sand.
Now it seems every server is minigames full of whining children, and paying for packages with their parents credit cards.
Warhawker tell me about it
HelloWorldGaming (Abandoned) are there any of the good ol minecraft like servers, guys??? Where we can be away from the hell that is Microsoft taking over minecraft???
I missed the good ol notch days...
I only noticed people like squeakers when it landed into Microsoft clutches...no offense micrpsoft, love your games...but you kinda ruined minecraft...

Warhawker ah yes... the good old days...

Macin toshiba omg I almost forgot about when minecraft was free on minecraft.net as a browser game
my god I still remember 2012 listening to this master piece while building your fortress. no people no distractions just you...
to be honest, i wish there is a server or a something that players can just build (not like creative). like we start in a town and other players build their houses. not like mansions or fortress, just a house. and then start out by mining or farming or chopping wood. where players trade with other people and say hello and goodbye to them. as night comes, they either stay up and finish their work or maybe make a simple balcony and watch the sun goes up or down and enjoy of what minecraft has. i wish this happens because we will see minecraft cease to exist, no friends to play, no buildings to share and no other life to enjoy. so if you see this enjoy minecraft while it is happening, and make this year the greatest year ever.
try watching the "Hermitcraft" series on youtube
+4swaggful You Should of just said "JUST DO IT!"

+Nicholas Slaughter i agree. i just miss the old community. even my old free2build survival server.
+Nicholas Slaughter mysunland has a beautiful community of both creative and kind players :) i honestly have never liked servers because they all felt so limited. this is tbh the first server i ever played on that really felt free. survival world as well as creative portal. you can get together with other players to build communities just as it has happen many times before
i would love to see you come on and meet the others ^_^ - Admin 2Low

We want old minecraft back, I know the Launcher stuff and that, but I mean the old community, the people that actually cared about the game, like me...
Here we are
im one of those
really i am
played minecraft ever since i was 7 in 2014 really good times
playing with my sister and cousins all the time
building the biggest structures ive seen in person like space shuttles and ships while my sister and one of our cousins allways just built statues of girls
good times, also it was in the WII U
so there was the battle mode, oh the nostalgia is hurting my brain
There are some of us... who never left and never will.
I miss the old community so much. Yogcast, the three guys that made videos for minecraft’s updates and all the good songs.
Just imagine yourself, 33 years old, opening the Minecraft launcher like an old music box, then: 0:00
Ah, the days of good minecraft, BETA minecraft, everything before the adventure update, no hunger, no sprinting, no pvp crap, just building and fun, and peace.
+Michael Wilson Just DO NOT play the 1.9 snapshots if you feel that way. Ruined the combat system.
+TheJewelOfJool spam clicker..... you actually need to have timed shots and if you do it's stronger in 1.9
I know. I am a spam clicker
+Victor Vu yeaaaaa I don't care about 1.9
andrew4043 do i look like i care about your opinion?
Minecraft is a beautiful game, I'm glad its getting the attention it deserves
Brings back that those first nights of terror...
Ah, running from zombies because you didn't make it back to your dirt house in time. ( ' :
Ashley Washinton Dude you need an iron sword to 3-shot the creeper, plus, including critical damage.
To get iron just dig down to diamond level, by the time you get to diamond level you'll have already found plenty of iron, then use the sword and build a house with a bit of stone, whatever your fancy, and boom now you can 3 shot creepers like a badass or you get even get diamond sword within 3 days, y=12 and a few blocks around that and again... easy shit. With a diamond sword you don't need to do critical damage
BeardedNutria19 my first home kinda was the cave systems for a while...
Then finally used my wood to build a house...
Underground house and boy there were a ton of mob spawning inside it because I didn't know what are torches back then lmao

I couldn't have put it into better words :)
nordic fatcheese You have such a way with words.. ;_; i cried
I knew i wasnt the only one...
“I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good old days, before you’ve actually left them...”
I will never forget how sad I was when I accidentally deleted my first ever Minecraft world... I was trying to install all sorts of stupid mods cause I was a dumb 12 year old and I unknowingly deleted my saves folder.... I can still picture the world in my head now though, every bit of it...
I just realised how utterly sad that sounds, sorry for sharing my life story. Lol XD
That happend to me too i still miss my first minecraft world :(
Me too
this happend to me too, but one year later, thanks to "time machine" on mac, i found a backup, and rediscovered my world
My first minecraft world... I turned the game to peaceful (Because I didn't feel like dying while questing for the farlands)
mined a bit, and I went on my way. That computer broke too. I'm on another computer now. I make Minecraft animations and music. And sometimes, A mod or two. I still remember my first survival world... I wish I could get it back :(
"Wow we finally found that Woodland Mansion!"
"Yeah!"
"Okay tomorrow let's make it our base!!"
"Good idea! Then we can find the ocean temple!"
"See you tomorrow!"
"See you."
*Last online 4 years ago*
Oh god... Not that... Anything but that!! :(
F
Woodland mansions... i dont even remember having had those back then
This exact situation happened to me...
Such serenity... why don't I play this game anymore...?
Yeahhh....
***** To be realistic, calling them "faggots" doesn't make you much better than them. Why have such hateful words in the comment section of such a serene music? That is bordering hypocritical.
I SEE YOU EVERYWHERE
Who?
Ethan Berry YOU! I see you on almost every video I'm on ._.
Oh dear, here comes the tears...
11 Years and this still hits hard :)
nostalgia is unreal... i remember when my brother and i first downloaded minecraft a few years back, and we were so damn excited. everything was new, minecraft was a completely new universe. that first world, i remember every block of it, every thing he and i built, every mine, every encounter. the first time finding coal, or discovering that you can make tools out of stone. first time seeing a zombie, first time finding diamond. first time seeing an endermen and having our heart rates shoot up. first redstone build, first village, first creeper explosion. and oh my, that first nooby ass 5x5 house with about 20 floors of 2 blocks high. oh man i wish we didnt accidentally delete that world (':
m-my first minecraft song.
the music hit in that sweet lullaby tune and I just started crying.
Lol I remember my first minecraft game and a zombie fell down into my hole
I also remember attempting to mine without a pick axe because I didn't know about the crafting table
I remember my house, on a peninsula, in the sunrise, and the trees saying good morning.
My first world was a world where I just wandered around...
4 years older, same feelings. This game is beautiful.
Thank you everyone reading this, for reading my story.
this sounds emotional
this IS emotional
That's... because it is, the way this game made people feel is unlike anything else.
It is
And you can't deny it
Looking back on when times were simpler and when life was easier can feel overwhelming when you realise you can never truly recreate those moments.
When minecraft is
Falling but other games try to make it rise but they can't till this song comes on and makes minecraft
Rise again and let it be in the light

Thank for making this. Thank you minecraft for the good times.
Things always start so beautifully don’t they? Start…

Brings back memories of me convincing my parents to download the game when it first came out...sweet memories...
So much nostalgia. I can almost picture the first night when I realised sand was affected by gravity... I lived in the side of a cave..
This reorchestration is stunningly beautiful, especially in the instrumentation.
remember the good times?..the good alpha and beta...the wonderful sense of discovery, adventure? The beautiful creative thoughts we can possibly build with simple blocks, that feeling is what i miss. no pros and mods...just that feeling of nostalgia when your firstly new and take one big deep look around in your randomly generated world waiting to be explored or create right at our fingertips. it's something I miss, ya know?..
I first played Minecraft about four years ago at a friend's house. I'll never forget that feeling of exploration and being able to do anything.
So much has changed in so little time. 10 years have passed since the making of this masterpiece

I should've paid more attention to your orchestra long ago. I'm very sorry, and thank you for this masterpiece.
I wish i had the ability to forget this game.
So i can experience it all again. Time flies so fast man....
Notch really created something. The game of an era
The minecraft remade songs that are so beautiful seem to be infinite. This one is up there at the top.
What is it about normal minecraft music I can't stand, but the remixs of any minecraft song is the most relaxing thing in the world.
original music for minecraft is good quality, not because you do not like
Its the 8 bit turned into an orchestra that gets me.
santiago gallardo I never said anything about quality? I just said I don't like it. It strains my ears.
ok sorry
santiago gallardo It's all good.
This gives me alot af chills. I miss the little village that i worked so hard on got corrupted.
Music gives me feelings I'm sure only a small amount of people get when listening to music. Like now; I feel sad/like I'm going to cry.
I feel like I’ve made the most emotional and exciting trip ever and now have to return to my boring home while trying to hold back my tears. I guess they call this trip childhood.
PERFECT JUST WHAT I NEED TO FALL ASLEEP
Minecraft will always have a place in my heart reserved just for it, and it will never leave, even after death. No matter how many updates and changes it has, it will still be the best game I've ever played.
It is now 2019 I’ve picked up mine craft again looking back so much has changed I met a lot of people and had so much fun I started playing in 2012 and I miss those days when I would hop on Skype and call my friends and talk for a while now looking back I took way to much for granted
So much emotion in a such a simple tune... thank you for this! As soon as finals are over i'm going full time into minecraft again!
if you created a resource pack for minecraft and added your orchestrated music, it would be AWESOME!
The memories

You really need to make more of these . . . as in Minecraft oriented, it's really beautiful
I want this to play at my wedding one day and see what happens
the only thing that i can imagine that is better than hearing this song is to be honored enough to play it
I do miss the old days of Minecraft.
I LOVE IT ❤️❤️❤️
I read this whilst listening to the music and this comment brought a tear to my eye
I'm sorry if I made you cry, but thx
+KingOli1999 np lol
I've been playing this game for years, all of those years were in singleplayer. Don't get me wrong though, I do get a lot of nostalgia. Remember those old yogscast videos?
mrcomp Yeah those were the days
You gave this theme a nice happy and sad feel to it all at the same time! This is brilliant.

You made people happy.
You made memories.
You brought happiness.
And in the end, that's what being a game is about, right?
*The doorway of childhood memories closes, ending Minecraft's tale*
Why am I tearing up over some games dammit
@@nphan08 they are our childhood
Now i'm sad that this is inevitable and want to Reinstall Terraria and give it a second chance since i might had judged that game wrongly
@@sfisher923 yeah, terraria was underrated, I think.
Bit too heavy handed IMO. I'm more for that symbolism like this ua-cam.com/video/CX09BHL2A4M/v-deo.html
There's a certain thing that every composer has strived for... and I think you nailed it. Around 150 times.
I rember my first time playing Minecraft in the demo version i miss Minecraft good times 😪
I remember, in 1.0... When I first played Minecraft. It's crazy that I still love and play this everyday... :)
This is... Beautiful...
Damn... I wanna return to this game... With my friends...
+Boris Shepard ikr
Then do it. Though Minceraft may change, at its core, it's the same great game.
One of my favourite MC tracks, nicely orchestrated :) very emotional and touching
Its nearly Minercraft's tenth birthday... damn..
Infinite Nexus
those were the good days
I feel yah lol
Infinite Nexus Why can't we just go back to those simpler times? *sniff*
Infinite Nexus I saw it it's true!PEOPLE SAY HAT IS JUST A LEGEND BUT IT'S TRUE!!!
Your work is incredible. I love nearly every piece you've made so far. Keep it up the good work.

Kiero Vance™ *_TL;DR WARNING - LONG COMMENT IS LOOOOOOOOOONG_*
Don't get me wrong here, but bronies don't have to be kind people.
I have come to three conclusions:
1) Bronies who watch MLP:FiM tend to be nice people.

There isn't anything better to listen to when studying than this.
The soft piano notes that sound like a lullaby makes this nostalgia even worse
By worse I mean it hits harder
i would have to say this is one of my favorites by you, the original was so soothing as it was but this just adds so much depth to it, the strings really carry you away, absolutely superb work
Here's an idea for Mojang, SERVER SUPPORT FOR OLDER VERSIONS. All the veterans could play mine craft alpha/beta together. We need to have the old community back.
This awakened a new passion for me...... to become a cellist. Thank you.
To all the veterans out there:
I get that you're nostalgic.
Cheers Mate
Luma the WhiteWolf thanks. I just think that sometimes people decrying a fanbase as a certain demographic need to take a closer look at the fanbase they're slamming.
+JCMsergox
It wasn't all THAT bad.
WAIT I FORGOT THOSE MINECRAFT ANIMATIONS DEAR GOD
+The Power Serg 922 (ThePowerSergio) we shall not mention about those...animations.. its really disgraceful.
Agreed! :D
This song is pretty great, makes me feel happy and calm
I was never a minecraft "veteran"
I am only 13 and i have watched so many people play it on the early days of alpha.
Nearly 10 years man. This game was amazing.
2019 anyone ?? Just me...okay
You're not alone, man. We're here with you.
Minecraft has peaceful music......And this is brilliant. Good job.
