Thanks a ton. Here in British Columbia theres tons of salt and none of my bulbs worked at all since my.grandpa bought it for me (I wasn't making enough money to buy a truck so he bought one for me, it had a lund moonvisor). But knowing this trick i can do it on my own with a little wiring experience gain. I'll keep this in mind for my next pay,
I did the same but kept the rubber grommets on the lights to keep snug fit and water seal (Rain does not descriminte to the top side only splashing on windshield 😎), just had to use step drill bit to 3/4" that cost $3 at harbor freight and put the rubber grommet in from the backside first then insert the bulbs from the front. If still wanting to use the 5/8" I would consider silicone to keep bulb secure.
What did you do to keep the wires from falling down in view? Did you use the exsiting screw holes that held the lights in and use a plastic wire harness bracket?
tried using those little stick on plastic squares that you run a zip tie through (usually at the hardware store next to zip ties) but they fell off so i glued 'em back on with black rtv silicone using a quick grip clamp. seems to be holding...

Couldnt help but notice that the fact you used an American flag as a seat cover?!?! not only that but the union should always be oriented to the viewers uppermost left corner. so much disrespect here.
Make a video of you wiring them up
great idea. i've been trying to find a new lighting kit for mine but this makes things so much simpler!

Hey how do you mount those moonbeam visors? Measurement and such?
Do you have a part number or link for these lights?

How did you wire them? I'm trying to wire them in series and they won't light up for some reason
need to be paralell, if its in series each light will only see 12 volts divided by 5 lights or roughly 2.4 volts instead of 12.
+REDPWR4EVR thanks man, that's what I ended up doing 👍🏻
I'm new to wiring what does parallel mean?
Great idea !
Those Lund supplied harnesses are whoreshit !
